Bill was my contact person with Providence. We wanted an above ground safe room with specific options, door placement, etc. And Providence was the only one that could do all that we asked without extra costs/issues. We had a choice of underground and above ground units and we chose the above ground unit because of the comfort factor, ease of access, and that the water heater and water cut-off valve were located in the garage (I was worried about flooding issues). Also, my neighbor shared that the worst of the tornado warning is waiting for the storms to roll through during the night. An underground unit was just too uncomfortable. So, we custom designed our unit to have wall-mounted pull-down bunk beds so we could get some sleep at night while waiting for the storms to move through. Bill and Providence were able to give us exactly what we wanted (door placement, vent placement, TVs, batteries, inverter, charger, antennas, lights) for a very reasonable cost. Also, the delivery time was 2 weeks compared to 6 to 8 weeks quoted by the other companies who had units made out of state. Providence units are made locally so it was a great turnaround time.

They did a great job! They completed the work in a very good manner and just as they said would.

I contacted Providence and they were quick to provide me with information in the mail and invited me out to their offices to see the shelter. Bill was very helpful, answered a number of questions via email and I decided to have the shelter installed because of the tornado alarms experienced here. We set an installation date and Bill and another worked came out to install it and installed it promptly, bolting it down to the concrete. I experienced no problems at all working with Bill and he also left helpful information regarding supplies to purchase and keep in the shelter along with other helpful information. I highly recommend the company.

We ordered it from them and it came in 3 days. It was about 2600 lbs and they bolted it down to the cement in the garage. It was to withstand an F5 tornado. They did a great job and we are pleased with the safe room. Would recommend them.

They came and installed it, They knew what to do to get it in my garage in the night place. They are very nice, did a good job.
