I hired DMC Outdoor Living to remove and replant my front landscaping. Dave is a plant genius, and all the workers are extremely professional. They showed up exactly on time and were done and completely cleaned up by 1pm. Very efficient and the work looks great. Dave has even checked in with me since then because we’ve had a heat wave. Great company. I can’t recommend them enough!

Result is beautiful. Creates a calm and pleasant oasis for viewing from our screened terrace. Crew was very efficient finishing in less time than I predicted. Each person had a specific job and did it well while also cooperating as a team. I am very pleased with this project.

The crew worked diligently and did an excellent job in re-doing our entire front and side beds. The workers were eager to make sure we agreed with what they did. The were courteous and completed the job in a period of time that was appropriate--late afternoon and early morning. They did more than was expected. I would recommend them.

My husband and I moved to TN from NY three years ago. The last thing I did before leaving my previous home was admire my backyard in NY (and cry my eyes out for leaving it!) Our one issue with our new home was the awful backyard. I hated it!!! A tiny, narrow space on a steep slope of weeds prevented us from ever entertaining and left no room for the garden I always wanted. We had been searching for over a year for a crew to come in and help us with this monster project. Someone suggested I go on Angie’s List, so I finally went on and found DMC. First... David was one of the only (if not THE only) person to show up to our appointment as scheduled, on time and energetic. After multiple no shows and people with poor attitudes, we were grateful for his professionalism and awesome personality. We had been given estimates from other companies that were unrealistic or were incomplete for the work required. David was reasonable and realistic for what we were asking. The crew started the project in the timeframe given, and despite some unexpected changes in our design plans, they finished our major renovation in a timely manner. David and his crew turned our tiny hill of weeds into a perfect oasis that truly cannot be put into words. They met my most absurd requests and completely exceeded our expectations. We honestly miss having them at our home every day!! I highly recommend DMC Solutions and would be thrilled to show before and afters of the incredible job they’ve done. Thank you, David and crew, for everything!!

When we met with DMC Solutions to go over the project, Dave and his crew arrived on-time and listened to our needs and concerns. He explained the job including the cost, time and material. They were very transparent throughout the process and went above and beyond our expectations. They were hard-workers who did an amazing job and we couldn’t be more pleased. We highly recommend DMC Solutions and plan on using them again in the very near future.

This project included a short retaining wall around an air conditioner on a slope, replacing a deck, and installing a patio door. Their work is quality craftsmanship and fairly priced, with honest options for what the job needed. Good family company, and I highly recommend them!

In my experience David Brakebill is a dishonest contractor. He took a $4666 deposit in Septmber 2017 for work to be completed by the following January 2018. By the end of March 2018 he had not started the job. I demanded a refund and he only returned $4000. I took him to court and won a judgement against him and he still refuses to refund the remaining deposit and court costs. Knox County case #11477H. Do not do business with this man and never give him a deposit.

My home builder contacted David Brakebill, Artisan Landscaping Company, for a quote for this project. Upon talking with Mr. Brakebill, myself, he stated that he would apply the erosion netting along with seeding the yard for grass in the fall of 2013, then return in March of 2014 to reseed and remove the erosion netting material which was to be included in the original quote to which I agreed. A deposit was paid in September of 2013 followed by another payment made through the builder on an invoice dated November 24, 2013. The builder withheld approximately $750.00 to insure his return to complete the job the following March. March came and went as did April of 2014 with numerous phone calls made to Mr. Brakebill by the builder. Repeated dates were set by Mr. Brakebill to complete the job but none of the promised were kept. I found myself at the end of April in a catch 22 situation where the time had passed for reseeding and since very little grass grew from his first seeding it would prove problematic to remove the erosion control netting. The netting was also poorly applied and not properly secured to the ground which caused many sections of the lot to have loose bunching of netting or no netting at all. The grass seed was also poorly and unevenly distributed which left the yard looking terrible with a bunch of grass in one small spot and no grass in many other areas. Now, I am faced with having to hire another company to remedy his mess which will prove to be even more expensive. This is a warning to anyone who is thinking of hiring Artisan Landscaping Company because David Brakebill is certainly not a man of his word.
