Nick was great to work with! I really appreciated the time he took to discuss my project and offer different possible fixes. Ultimately, the project included extending an underground drainpipe, repairing erosion damage to my front yard, and adding metal edging around two plant beds. He scheduled the work quickly, and completed it in one day. Everything looks great, and I was particularly grateful for how Nick went above and beyond: seeding bare patches in the yard well outside the project area, for example, and sweeping the front walkway. I would definitely work with Nick again.

He did both these jobs and moved a heavy stump and shored up the concrete around the garage just because it needed doing. Even after this really heavy rain my garage was dry after he performed these tasks. He did a great job. He is a really nice trustworthy guy!

Nick proposed excavating swales in the yard and driveway which would drain the surface water off the property. This was a much cheaper alternative. This is what was done in both areas. I've waited to give a review until I saw the drainage during the most recent heavy rains. These swales did a great job and will hardly be noticed once the grass grows back. The driveway swale is already hardly noticeable. If these handled the heavy rains we've had in late Feb. and March, I'm confident we've solved our standing water issues. Additional work included removing some bushes and adding a flower bed which came out better than we expected. The photos show the yard during heavy rains. No standing water less than 24 hours after rain stopped.

We had an above-ground pool installed last summer, which was (unbeknownst to us) poorly placed and caused immediate drainage issues, including some that caused structural damage to the pool. Nick came out, assessed our property, and created a plan that would allow rainfall to drain *around* our pool rather than underneath it. Nick created swells that diverted the water, he graded the sloppy mounds of dirt that the pool installer had left behind, and he installed erosion matting to prevent future issues. Our yard looked better instantly, but it wasn't until several months later--in the midst of weekly rainfall and flash floods--that we really understood Nick's talent. Every bit of water that fell was diverted away from our pool. The required trench around our pool remained empty as a result of Nick's planning and grading. Our yard endured harsh weather for weeks at a time and was completely fine! We couldn't be more pleased with Nick's services. We're so pleased, in fact, that we're calling him back to build a deck around our pool, since we know he'll pay careful attention to the way the deck needs to work around the drainage pattern of our yard. Called Nick who came out quickly to discuss project. He stated he would get back with a design and cost quote. That's last time I ever heard from him, didn't respond to emails, etc.

From the time Nick initially met with me, until the project was complete, Nick was a complete professional. I originally met with him on some thoughts my wife had for the backyard. He created a virtual drawing that allowed me to show my wife in detail what he was thinking before we agreed to any work. Once we gave him the approval, Nick and his team were able to make a dramatic difference to not only our existing landscaping, but they changed the whole look of our backyard. Our backyard went from essentially open and a mud hole in the middle, to a truly landscaped private environment with over 15 trees and at least as many plants and ground cover. I would definitely recommend Nick and his team as well as use them again in the future. Attached is 1 before picture and 2 after.

Nick has a great eye for landscaping. With minimal direction from us, he made some great choices that really enhanced the look and feel of our yard. The landscaping work is always better than expected, including mulching, leaf removal and pressure washing. The weekly lawn service is competent and punctual.

Nick was so responsive to my inquiry and his team was out to remove my leaves the next day, despite the cold temperatures. They were prompt and courteous, even asking me to move my car so that nothing flew near it. I will definitely hire them again!

Really well - my favorite thing about Nick is his significant knowledge of names of plants, trees, etc. I’m about to use him for a lot more work with trees and I really appreciate how he just names the scientific name for each one and understands their root systems, etc.

We have 2.5 acres with some very large trees. This year the amount of leaves dropped was the most we've ever had. I was able to get an appointment quickly, Nick and his worker showed up on time with blowers and a giant leaf vacuum that fed into a trailer. They worked all day and into the early evening. When they were done there was nary a leaf insight.

Yaarvark was scheduled to work on the 1st but, Nick called and said they could be here on the 29th. Good thing! The weather was better, they were here on time and did an excellent job! A bit pricey, but, I was happy with the results.

Worked out well. It was a bit hard to communicate and get on the schedule (I presume due to their heavy workload) the work was done very nicely. The lighting installation is very professional, the water feature has been restored to good condition, and drainage channel works well.

A crew shows up and mows lawn, blows leaves. The job they do is as good as I would do in that respect. We'd love to see a little more interest in doing other things (getting tree branches away from the house, trimming bushes, weeding, mulching. An email, call or note from them occasionally would be nice and might lead to more business from us. They've been better about this in earlier years.

Owner was extremely understanding of the short timeframe and completed the job sooner than expected. Very professional and reliable. I would hire these guys again.

We've used them for over 14 years, they do an excellent job. We couldn't be happier.

He came out once and didn't call back. It seemed like he only wanted big jobs.

Could not get an answer about whether he did this kind of work in my part of town. I made two attempts to get in touch. I was very impressed with Angie's List reviews and their website but was not getting responses to try to get an estimate set up.

They were prompt to respond, came out the next day to cut the grass. They did a beautiful job. Lawn looked neat and manicured. Edging was excellent. I immediately hired them for a weekly service.

In the end I didn't use their services. I spoke with Nick who was great to talk with. Because of their workload, they wouldn't be able to get out to make an estimate for three-and-a-half to four weeks. I couldn't wait that long, so I couldn't use them at this time. I REALLY appreciated his honesty and straightforwardness during our conversation and will definitely consider him in the future.

We recently moved to Brentwood and Nick had looked after our house prior to us owning it so we continued to have him take care of our yard. Nick has been great at communicating prices, scope or work etc. Anytime there has been something wrong, Nick has addressed it quickly (example: this morning there was an issue and we texted him photos and he drove over within 15 minutes). I would highly recommend Nick.
