 + -1 moreApparently Yaardvark has become so successful that they don't need new customers. On April 27 I spoke with Nick requesting an estimate for "spring cleanup" at my home. We needed the shrubs trimmed and the beds cleaned out, weeded, and mulched. To his credit, he informed me it's a very busy time of year and he'd get to me as soon as possible. He mentioned that they give priority to their mowing customers. Twelve days later I received the estimate. It was the highest of the three we received, mainly because he charges $45 per man hour. Nonetheless, I felt from our phone conversation that Nick is very knowledgeable about his work, so i attempted to get the price down by offering to buy the mulch on my own and have it delivered. Over a week ago I emailed a request asking him to factor that in and adjust the estimate. He's never acknowledge receiving the email nor has he responded. The people on this site who've used Yaardvark are obviously happy with the work. But if you're a new customer looking to get started with a lawn service, you probably should keep looking.

He and his crew are dependable, courteous and professional. I have tried several other landscape companies in years past and definitely appreciate Nick's attention to detail. I don't have any complaints, just a great experience and wanted to share.

 + 0 moreThe work provided by Yaardvark has been accomplished quickly and efficiently. In the Spring, he begins by cleaning up the property from the Winter weather. He trims shrubs, removes leaves, cleans the tennis court and deck area around the pool. When it is time to open our pool, mulch has been spread and the lawns mowed. During the pool season, he keeps the grass and landscaped areas mowed and free of weeds. While our pool is open, Nick is always careful that our deck is cleaned off after cutting the grass. Before he leaves the property, he power blows the parking lot making sure that it is clear of rocks and debris. In the Fall, before he finishes for the Winter Season, he makes sure that all leaves are removed from the tennis court and from the common area. We have appreciated the service that Yaardvark has provided. We have found Yaardvark hightly dependable and reasonably priced.
Description of Work: In the past 5 years, Yaardvark has performed all the landscaping and lawn service for the Camden Woods HOA. Nick has been extremely useful in making our entrance way and common area eye appealing, while staying within our HOA Budget. When issues have arisen, he has given us a plan to correct the problem and has efficiently taken care of our needs. In the past years, Yaardvark has installed a wall and soil erosion mat to keep drainage from going into the HOA pool. Yaardvark also installed a sway and soil erosion mat to keep drainage from washing into the pool parking lot. Both of these projects have helped to maintain our common area and allievate the drainage problems.

 + -1 moreNick and his team are very friendly, professional and clean cut. They make note of what our yard needs specifically, and treat it accordingly. We went from a front yard full of weeds and holes to a beautiful green carpet in a matter of months! I honestly didn't think it would be possible without re-sodding! They're always timely and have never left anything undone. I've had such a good experience that I recently contracted with them to maintain our office landscape as well. I would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone!
Description of Work: I've been using Yaardvark for over a year to maintain our yard and landscaping. They provide a wonderful service that alleviates me of the need to schedule various lawn/landscaping tasks (mowing, seeding, aerating, fertilizing, trimming, etc). Each week they come by and simply do what needs to be done. I never have to call to setup a service appointment, inspect our yard, or worry about the appearance of our landscape. It's always maintained immaculately. For a busy couple who are rarely home, this is the most ideal solution for maintaining our yard. It's simply taken care of with the same (or better!) attention to detail that we would give it ourselves.
