True Friends Moving Company

True friends moving is truly not your friend. DO NOT use this company. They are scam artist and will bait and switch you low balling the estimate to get your business and then take almost twice as long and hit you up with hundreds of dollars worth of charges. I was quoted $1295 to move from a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath 1 car garage (the 3rd bedroom only had a desk and chest as it was my office).... only 2 people in my townhome barely 1500 sq ft They quoted 7 hours of work $1295 but took 11 hours And charged me almost $1900 from Bellevue to Brentwood. A **** rip off. When I called to complained the owner Chris said if you want us to stop working we can leave the stuff there if not we will keep charging you by the hour. He got you and knows you have no choice your stuff is in their truck so you are screwed! For being the owner he was a total JERK! and couldn't careless. He was rude, interrupted me and unapologetic. I question how is that he can charge $600 more than quoted and he just kept saying how the quote can change... give me a break that’s bull a $600 increase is highway robbery. They charged my credit card on file and then changed the quote they gave online so there was no evidence of the original quote. And not only did they rob me and my daughter during the holidays of $600 but also broke my dining room table and refused to replace it only willing to fix it which doesn’t look the same. It cracked right in the middle because they didn’t remove the legs and take it apart. Instead they just loaded upright in one piece and placed boxes on top of it. The table cracked in the middle under weight and bent like a “M” you could hear the cracking of the wood as they tried to unload the boxes. They were negligent but are cheap and don’t care to do right by their customers. What a horrible experience a table that was practically new and only used about a dozen times. Oh and did I mentioned they were over 2 hours late the day of the move to begin with. Chris had said to leave the clothes in the dresser and that the guys would take down the tv’s and pack them up but when they arrived they said that was untrue and I had to pack things up which kept me from watching them load stuff the entire time. A couple of small items were also damaged in one of the boxes that was on top of the table when it broke and Chris would not reimburse me for them said they are not responsible for things they do not pack but if it would have been loaded correctly then they wouldn’t have broken since the items were all wrapped in bubble wrap and foam and the box said FRAGILE! I just wanted the nightmare to be over and not to continued to be billed. A friend came over and between the two of us and my daughter we began unloading the truck too and even had them leave clothes and boxes of shoes etc in the garage just so they could leave and all my stuff be off their truck if not who knows how many more hours they would have charged me for. We were doing their job!!! Don’t Trust this company with your personal items. Do not hire them to do your move unless you want them to rob you blind, break your stuff and treat you like S***!!! I will tell all my co- workers, friends, family, neighbors and post on every social media site my horrible experience so others are aware of the poor practices of True Friends Moving and how the owner Chris lacks integrity and doesn’t care about his customers. Karma is a B Chris and your lying and cheating your customers will catch up with you. True friends should go out of business!

Troy and Gary were very professional and outstanding in their work to move a large treadmill from the garage to an upstairs room. Because of the size of the treadmill and limited doorway space, the treadmill required some disassembly which we had not anticipated. They were able to address the issue without any reservations at all. I would highly recommend them!!!

They arrived early! The two men worked quickly, which I appreciated because I paid by the hour. They treated my possessions carefully and were patient when I wasn’t sure where to put something.

The young men’s was very quick and professional to get the job done. They done a fantastic job in a few hours, 2 1/2. However I was surprised at the final cost....what’s a trip charge for?...Maybe I should have left off the $65 insurance and the $40 tip...But overall the True Friends moving company had 2 great dedicated workers. They earned their $40 tip ;-). Next time I would check for a cheaper hourly rate, without the trip charge.

The movers did an excellent job. They were professional and on time. They took care with the items. Our team was Fletcher, Troy, Dave, and Bobby. Great experience and would hire again!

it was fine-i wuidh they would have used mattress covers and they should have covered all the door frames.

True Friends Moving was excellent to work with from the first call. They were responsive and the follow through and transparency was top notch. On moving day Jerry Fletcher and Charles were awesome they got to the house earlier than expected and got straight to work. They were done in record time and made the move very simple and easy. I would recommend True Friends to anyone moving in the Nashville area and it wouldn’t hurt to ask for Jerry and his awesome crew!

Joseph and Brandon were amazing! They were professional, thorough, timely- worked with urgency but were still careful, and clearly communicated through the whole process. I’d recommend them to pack and move anyone!

The whole experience was great from scheduling to the actual moving date. Dakota and Bobby were very polite, respectful and professional. Handled our furniture better than we could have done ourselves. Would highly recommend True Friends and will use them again.

The 2 men worked tirelessly. 30 min in it became clear our moving truck packers (a different company in a different state) had packed poorly. Whole sections of boxes were leaning against larger pieces of furniture, which complicated the unloading. They worked carefully both to avoid full on avalanches of boxes and to take the strain off of the furniture. They pointed out multiple issues in packing the truck that would not fly for True Friends. For all of that, they earned an A. The B rating accounts for minor damage to the wide master bedroom dresser and stairwell wall as they worked the dresser up & around the stair the corner.

The two young men who moved us couldn't have been nicer and more professional. They hit the ground running at 8:30 and kept running until 2:30, never complaining that our move took much longer than anticipated, I would hire them again,

I contacted this business after reading reviews on Angie's list. It did concern me that they charged me $100 to reserve my moving date. However, the estimate that I received was completely wrong as to what I had to pay. The estimate was for $149 for a crew of two, for 2 hours with additional charge for every 15 minutes past the 2 hour minimum along with fuel for their trip. I had budgeted $400 for the move. After all was said and done I ended up paying $844 for a 3 hours and 40-45 minute move. On top of that, they charged me a 3% fee for using a card for payment. Ridiculous! I should have a better job of vetting out more moving companies and that is my fault. However, the two men that moved us, they were friendly, professional and very hard working. I have no complaints with their work as they were very careful with everything they moved. I will say they only had to move a king size bed, 2 nightstands, dresser and mirror, couch, loveseat, leather chair, tv armoire and tv. There were probably around 15 boxes with a few items that were not in a box because my son and I along with a friend moved everything we could two weeks prior to the official move. I will never hire another moving company that does not come on site and give me a quote, or give money up front to reserve my move date. Also, I will have it in the contract that I will not pay more than the estimate, or we won't do business. You cannot trust people anymore because they will take advantage of you. Would I hire this company again, ABSOLUTELY NOT!

It went great. Carl Bindley and Corry Harris did an awesome job. They handled my belongings as if they were their own. Excellent experience!

Awesome! Very professional and organized. The movers were very well trained with positive attitudes.

Movers were 3.5 hrs. late past the end of the 3 hr. window in which they were slated to arrive. They got to our place at 6:45pm. Overbooked. The movers themselves were incredible and hustled to get the heaviest pieces of furniture in the house before dark which is why I'm giving 4/5 stars. The communication from customer service/dispatch around the delays and expected arrival time was very poor.

I would have appreciated a call informing me that my services were delayed instead of me calling to inquire. Once the movers got there, they made me feel valued and everything was taken care of with no complaints.

Hiring True Friends made my move so easy. I needed a storage POD loaded and was nervous all of my stuff wasn’t going to fit. The two guys that came to my house loaded it in no time and even had room to spare in the POD. I highly recommend True Friends.

Everything went very smoothly in our long distance move, thanks to True Friends Moving! They were very professional from start to finish. Not a single thing broke. Right on time. An absolute bargain, would 100% recommend to anyone I know moving.

I received a text that the movers were on the way and they arrived punctually. They quickly assessed the items to be moved and began working immediately. They were courteous and professional and very careful with all the furniture. They also worked very fast and were all about business.
