Great work - reasonable, professional, cleaned up after

This is the second time we have used Tree Savvy and been extremely satisfied each time. The owner, Mike York, is very personable, thorough and extremely knowledgeable about trees. Mike and his crew removed a large tree that had fallen on our home as a result of the high winds....no easy feat. The work was completed with great skill and care and all debris removed neatly. I highly recommend Tree Savvy and I am very appreciative of their professional services for both maintenance and emergencies.

He came out gave us a quote, said he would be back the next day. A few days went by and he called and said he needed to help get limbs off houses due to a bad storm.. should be out in a week. Two weeks went by, my husband called and left message. He has not EVER returned our calls or bothered to contact us in any way. Will NOT NEVER contact this person again!!! Had to find someone else to do the took over 3 weeks!!!! 😡😡😡😡

He contacted me shortly after requesting a quote. I explained that subsequent to the request for a quote, we got an offer on the home and the buyer wanted to keep the trees. He was responsive and professional and friendly. Would use him again if I needed services.

After initial contact, didn't hear a peep about any interest in providing an estimate for the job. But, then they showed up unannounced to look over the job and after interrupting my afternoon and asking me to show them the job, they didn't bother to provide an estimate. I guess they only want to do pricey tree removal jobs. I will never bother to call them again!

I was already planning to call when a freak storm took down several trees in mine and my neighbor’s yards. Mike came out to look around and provide a quote. He clearly knows his stuff and spotted a dangerous problem with one of the larger trees that I hadn’t noticed, where the trunk was splitting from the top down. He answered a lot of questions, gave honest advice, and provided what I feel was a very fair price. He came back the next day with his crew and they spent several hours completing the work. Mike and his crew are conscientious and hardworking, and I will not hesitate to recommend them to others. They did a great job in every aspect, including final cleanup.

Mike and his team did excellent work. They are professional and highly skilled, as the nature of this job dictates. I appreciated the time, care and attention paid to the safety of our home, as well as to their own safety. I will be calling on Mike in the future, as we have many mature trees that periodically require the services of a professional arborist.

He advised to wait until a more later date in April and he could tell better when and what may need trimming. Tree will show more later in spring when tree may form a certain shape.

I could not be happier with the work Mike and his crew did. It took a while for the work to start because it was right around all of the snow and ice, but Mike stayed in touch and kept me updated regularly. When the weather finally allowed, they worked quickly and left absolutely zero mess behind. The price was comparable to other quotes I received, but his responsiveness won me over. I would definitely use them again.

Called on a Saturday morning to schedule a quote. Mike showed up later that day to inspect the work to be done. We scheduled the work for the end of the month because he was very busy, which was understandable for the time of year that it was. The crew showed up a couple of weeks later and worked very fast. They were very professional and cleaned up all the debris. The stump crew showed up a day later to perform their work. I will definitely use them in the future.

They were friendly, on schedule and took the time to speak to the landscape company to see what they needed for replanting. They use a separate stump grinder and made to sure to come back to haul away the shaving piles. Well done!

Mike is amazing! He came out to my house to look at several trees that were turning brown. I didn't have to wait long for the appointment. He was out at my house 3 hours after he responded to my Angie's List message. He also didn't charge me a dime. That's great customer service! You can be sure I'm going to use Mike again when the need arises. :)

These guys were amazing. They cut done and trimmed tons of trees along our old fence line in order to put up a new wood fence. The job took 2 full days - These guys got here early and left late, working in 95+ degree heat and cleaned up all the debris and whatnot. I highly recommend.

Three MONTHS later he called and said "Is it okay if we come out tomorrow to do the work?" I was dumbfounded - three months had gone by with no communication and he acted like it had been three days. Obviously I had already contracted the work with someone else. When I explained that I wasn't using his service due to the length of time that had passed since the work was supposed to be done he said, "yeah, we've been pretty busy". Too busy for a follow up phone call to reschedule? Very unprofessional.

arrived on time, three people working (one up in the tree, two on the ground). They were very careful and professional, especially since the tree was right on the property line and our neighbors were nervous. Cleaned up thoroughly.

Mike gave me an estimate and said he would be available in a month to do the work. I had to call him back as the time was approaching and he told me that he dumped all of my info from his data base. Said it was his mistake and he would get to me in quick order. I had to call him again after 3 weeks as he had not called me. I left him a message and told him I would find somebody else to do the work. He had the gall to call me today and tell me that he could do the work in another 2 months, which would have made it 3 months after he first promised he would do the work..

The quote meeting went very well. All details worked out and cost was very good. Two guys showed up and in about 3 1/2 hours were done with a truck loaded to the top with clippings. I watched the two guys work for about 1/2 hour. These guys were good, very good. I really enjoyed watching them work, it was like they had rehearsed these seven trees coming out to perfection.

We placed a house under contract in early March (2015) which is situated on 5 wooded acres. We contacted treeSAVVY (Mike York) through Angie's List. Mike was very responsive and met me in early April for an assessment of all the trees close to the house. It was clear from our discussions that he not only is an accomplished arborist, but is also a genuine individual. We were convinced after a detailed discussion with him that he would only do what was necessary to protect our home and the health of the many trees near the house. We closed at the end of April and Mike and his crew came out and did a wonderful job of removing three large trees, clearing ivy from another, and trimming a number other trees. He and his crew were punctual and professional and provided a valuable service.

Mike and team were on time and very efficient. They were all very professional and did a great job. In addition to what is mentioned above they also took the remaining limb down from a large maple that had some trouble in the ice storm this year. While doing so they realized I wanted a couple thin slabs from it for a project or two and they cut as many as I wanted and would have kept going. They all answered any questions I had and were more than willing to offer free advice. Once done they cleaned up every bit of what was left from their work as well as a very considerable amount of other junk in my yard with no complaint or question. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and will be using them in the future for the rest of the pines i need to keep taking down. I had bid this out to a few people and have no concerns that I chose the right one.

The removal work went well once it began, but getting to start-up took some time because there was initially some confusion about scheduled work dates. However, after that, Mike York and his treeSAVVY team did a first rate, well-planned job in a small yard with constricted access and BIG trees. It took the 4-person team 2 full work days (16+ hours elapsed time; about 130 person hours) to do the removals carefully, to remove the trees and limbs from the yard, and to clean up the resulting detritus. The entire team was friendly and professional and paid attention to their tasks and worked together well. We are pleased with treeSAVVY's work and professional approach.
