Sam and his crew are the absolute BEST! They are are hardworking, creative, time efficient, flexible, and dependable! Sam, TJ, and Rob changed out the front door to our 100 year old home (NOT an easy task), re plumbed the kitchen sink, add power for the garbage disposal, and changed the lighting in our bathroom. These guys have made each task look like a breeze (and they certainly weren’t), and have made a HUGE difference in our home. The front door alone has totally modernized our house! They have been easy to get ahold of, understanding of our schedules, and a pleasure to work with! We have many more projects that need to be tackled and we are going to have Sam and his team handle them all. I only write reviews for businesses that really go above and beyond and The Joy of Construction truly did! Dont have any doubts about having their team work on any type of project (big or small) as they are super dependable and trustworthy. Thanks Sam & crew, you all are absolute magicians!

Horrible, worst money spent ever! He bought the cheapest material charged the most never finished a job! Uses a cheap paint sprayer because he’s way too lazy to do it the right way! He steals materials also stole over $20,000 from Lowe’s just all around bad business!

Never use this company. He was paid $30k upfront and a brand new shed for a $10k "credit" and the work he did do was so poorly done, it has to be all redone properly. Sloppy, unprofessional, rude, empty promises. Hired out cheap labor to do the job he was hired to do. Did work that was not asked / requested and never consulted the home owner. Worst experience ever. Left my house in shambles, garbage, construction debris, calk and paint on my new SS appliances. Unhooked water lines, never hooked them back in. No switch plates. A revised cost estimate and list of items what he was spending the money on was asked for several times. He kept making excuses yeah, yeah, I'll get that for you. Didn't even bother to patch or caulk anything before slapping cheap paint up. Said he would reimburse me for items I purchased for the job but didn't so I'm out that money as well. Karma.

Absolutely the worst experience. A job that should have taken 2 months tops was not done to code and took a year and still wasn't done. Always an excuse as to why they didn't show up or why something wasn't done. He will not pull permits when needed but will lie to you and say it isn't needed. When I asked questions he will belittle me and say it is correct and it will be beautiful. When removing the old gables he didn't have someone lined up to add the necessary shingles. This has now caused damage to the roof. He tried to do a roofline that wasn't what was agreed to. Let alone not bolted and attached properly with the correct beams. (in a major storm, this would have just ripped right off my house. ) I will absolutely never recommend this company or use it again.
