He came in and told me how to fix the problems I had called him about. &nbsp;I kept asking him for an estimate on the job. &nbsp;After asking many times for an estimate on the job, he gave me an outrageous number?? and I paid him $75 to come out and tell me that I should try and fix it myself?!....<br

The work was promptly done. The quality of the work was good. The estimate of cost to complete the work was exceeded by a factor of 2. Rene would be well served if he always submitted a written and detailed proposed contract. He should also provide invoices for the materials that he used that were in excess of his estimate. If we were not in a hurry to have the work done on our rental property; we would not have used him because he did not provide a documented proposal. His final price was a shock. since it was twice his estimate. We would not use him again without a proper written contract.

I called first a local electrician, but they said they do not fix lighting fixtures, so I called the German Handyman. He said he would have to charge $75 even if he cannot solve the prob, but I did not know where else to turn to, so asked him to come over. He took parts apart, had the wired extended, reconnected to the socket and put the fixtures back. It took a little over one hour. He was professional. He did not carry a couple of tools that he usually carry on this particular day, since it was raining, so I had to run for some tools (which I did not have), but other than that it all went smoothly. He paid attention to the detail and was careful not to make a mess.

Rene was a pleasure to work with. He showed up as scheduled and was very straightforward with recommendations about how to complete the needed work within my time frame and budget. Where someone else could do the work less expensively, he suggested hiring someone else. I had asked him to be a bit creative in some areas where I needed a "five year fix" as opposed to a "permanent" (aka do it right) solution, and he came through for me. The work was performed professionally and quickly. He also has a good sense of humor... always a plus when dealing with home maintenance hassles! I would definitely work with Rene again.

Service was great. It was an easy repair. Rene is busy, so we had a bit of trouble getting it scheduled. But the work was first rate, and done quickly. I will happily call Rene again.

We had scheduled the appointment three weeks previously and based on prior experience with other tradesman I was hoping that he would not forget. Rene showed up on the appointed day. Rene had identified exactly what he thought needed to be done when he came out to do his estimate. He quoted me a price and that is what he charged. He does quality work and I would not hesitate to call on him again.

I chose this handyman based on his great reviews. He promptly returned my call but did not want to do the work on an electrical outlet, instead referred me to a "licensed electrician". I had assumed he was licensed but stated that the nature of the problem indicated a more serious electrical issue. With that project off the table I asked about getting an estimate on installing a dishwasher that would require some cabinetry work, but otherwise, the hookup and electricity were already in place. He wanted to know what my previous estimates were and I said I would rather just have a fresh estimate from a new handyman; He became very abrupt after that so I asked him if this just wasn't a job he was interested in. If it is too small or not worth the effort I have no problem working with somebody else that needs the work. After my comment, he hung up on me. In this day and age when it can be hard to find good working and working relationships, I would have expected more professional behavior. I have a lot of projects that need a reliable and trust-worthy contractor to help with. My advice to anybody interested in this handyman, if you don't have a big project, he probably won't be interested...and he will probably hang up on you if you call him out for being rude on the phone.

Rene was prompt in returning my phone call and showed up on time a few days later to take a look at the work required. He was able to do all the work which saved me from hiring several different people. He's very professional, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We have an unusual schedule and a very large dog which made it difficult on Rene and required him to work around our schedule, he did so with no complaints I ended up giving him a key to our home so he could come and go as needed. I would highly recommend him to anyone searching for an honest and competent handyman.

Renee communicated by text, which was very convenient. He was always prompt in returning my texts. He was prompt on the day he came to do the estimate and on the day he came to do the work. He spent almost the entire day doing the work. We were very please with his work. We appreciated that he took the time to replace an outlet, which had not been on our original work list.

Rene was great. He was on time, finished the job in a reasonable amount of time, and cleaned up before he left. He adjusted the plan we made over the phone to replace the entire door once he saw the actual amount of damage. He was able to repair instead of replacing everything, which was preferable to not change the look of the entryway. Job well done!

Rene did lots of different jobs for us. He?s very professional and on time. I had unique things that I needed, and he came through with flying colors and had ideas on how to improve them.

Rene was always very responsive and he always made a point to call and let me know how things were going even if it was just to confirm his estimate was accurate. If he found something else to fix he would call and explain it first...even taking pictures to text so I could see the necessary repairs. He was always prompt and very trustworthy. I even allowed him to make a copy of my house key and hold on to it during the repair period. I ended up spending more than I anticipated because there was additional work to be done but I think Rene's pricing was fair. I would definitely use him again and refer him to friends and family.

Rene was punctual, polite and professional. He installed the new garbage disposer and left the area clean and tidy-a rarity. I intend to use him for other jobs I may need performed; perhaps even have his phone number on Speed Dial!

Rene was extremely helpful through this process, often telling us what did not need to be fixed and saving us a ton of money. He worked more than 4 very long days, and called in help when necessary. He treated our home like it was his home and was interested in providing the best service and quality work possible. He's my new go to general handyman and I expect to be using him for years and years to come.

Rene was very punctual. He arrived ahead of time and waited in his van. He was very polite and professional. Rene put up a new pendant light fitting in my kitchen. He wasn't finished until it hung perfectly straight. It was a tricky job and he did it perfectly. The holes and walls were filled perfectly, you couldn't tell they had been filled. He filled, sanded, filled, sanded and painted until he was satisfied it was a perfect.

Rene was very prompt in responding to my initial request to fix my shower door, and he came within an hour of my call, and, on a Saturday. He was very clear in recommending several specialists in shower doors in the area, as well as making recommendations on types of them. He also was able to tell me the materials I needed for him to fix my two electrical problems. Rene gave me a fair quote and when he came by on Monday, he was able to explain some of the possible causes as well as problems that may occur in the future. His prices were fair and I like that he was able to recommend others that are more expert in the field and provided me choices in terms of how to get the job done. Rene has a very task-oriented style but he was still very helpful.

Rene not only picked up my new doors but took the old doors with him when the job was completed. Neat as a pin and a very nice guy to talk to. I used Rene earlier in the month for another project and will use him again the beginning of September. His prices are great and his promises are kept. A KEEPER.......
