Description of Work: We needed 1 closet cleared and prepped for a new closet system provided by another company. We talked through what needed to be done and he ended up saving me $350 on work that wasn't actually necessary. We had a larger project which was the demo and removal of a second closet. Rene showed up on time and did a fantastic job including some electrical work. We will definitely use Rene again and I would recommend him highly. Very good work and a good guy.

Description of Work: Rene and his outstanding helper, Al, took out my existing under mount porcelain sink and replaced it with an over mount stainless steel sink. It was a tough job because they had to cut the original sink in half to get it out and had to cut into our granite counter to fit the new sink. They also had some structural issues to deal with because of existing water damage to the wall under the sink. But they handled it professionally and got the job done in one day. I was very happy with the result. I would hire him again.

Description of Work: He knew from the start, he didn't want the job of insulating and putting a partial floor in my attic. He brought along a contractor who was rude. All they were interested in was telling me how stupid I was. Horrible business practice. I would never use him or recommend him to anyone.

+ 2 moreRene is great because he always either answers his phone immediately or calls back within the hour. He is very specific about when he is coming and is very punctual - a godsend in any contractor.He's accurate about estimating how long it will take him to do a job and so his estimates of cost are on target. And I think very reasonable.Conceptually he "gets it". And he asks enough questions to really know what you want so I trust him to do it the way I want. I've found a lot of other handymen make assuptions and don't ask questions and you end up with something you didn't want. I'm very happy to have Rene do projects at my house and his skill level is high so I would trust him with anything I can think of.
Description of Work: He built a 4 foot fence between the garage and the fence with the neighbor so that the dogs were blocked from going between the garage and the fence. It was well done, looks good. He cleans up after himself. He also fixed some windows in my 60 yo house. My neighbor heard him working on the fence and had him come over to her house the next week. She is not a member of Angie's List but told me she was very impressed with his work.
