The movers initially called to tell us they were going to be an hour to an hour and a half late, which was fine. I had asked for an estimate of the time that it would take to move and the cost, as they said that they would do on their website. This was never done so the move took about 16 hours rather than 8 hours as the person initially said and cost about twice as much as I expected. When I originally asked bout doing the estimate the when who had arranged the move said that it wouldn't be necessary. Again, I initially thought that was fine, but these two initial occurrences should have been my warning. I used them however because I saw them on Angie's List and they appeared to have a good grade.. In fact, t subscribed to Angie's List to find a good local mover. Therefore this nightmare move was extremely disappointing. The movers broke a lamp. They broke the glass and part of the wood from an antique bookcase. I was told that they would pay for this and the mover measured the area in which the glass had been broken.He called his boss and told me that someone would be out the next business day and take care of it. They also scratched the new wooden floor and put a dent into the wall where they had dropped the bookcase. The movers were actually nice guys so I was initially not too upset. The next business day, I took off from work and the guy never came to fix the bookcase. I received no call about it that day. The next day, when I was at work someone called to say he was on the way over. I told him they were supposed to come the day before and I was at work. He made arrangements to come over the following evening when I would be at home. He did not call and did not come over the next day. I called the moving company and asked to talk to the owner. The guy who I talked to said he was the owner. he yelled at me and accused me of trying to scam them by saying that they had damaged the wall and floor. I tried to talk with him and he sounded threatening. He told me he was a "big strong man" out of nowhere and when I tried to say something he interrupted me and said that he knew what I was going to say and that I almost made the biggest mistake of my life. I was just trying to tell him that the damage did occur and I expected them to make amends as I had paid a lot for the move. I decided to forget about it and said that I did not want the movers to come over that had done the damage to look at it as they had seen it. He told me I needed to "be a man" and have them come over I told him I wanted someone neutral to look. On the following weekend, without calling the mover's came over and took a look at the damage and again measured for the glass. That was two months ago and I have not heard anything since. No call and no apology. I would never use these guys and in fact I was concerned that I was being spoken to in an intimidating and threatening manner by the man who said that he was the owner. I plan to complain to the Better Business Bureau as well.

Jimmy and Gage were on time and called me en route to the dealer. They kept me in constant contact on their progress. They picked up the item, got it to my building far quicker than I expected, and were able to navigate the piece from their truck to my condo without any damage to it or the walls in our building. TMS has a number of moving teams (this is the only one I have used) - I would certainly recommend Jimmy & Gage. The $175 price is a set 2 hour minimum fee and given the difficulty of this move, I feel it was worth every penny even though they were done in about an hour.
