For whatever reason, the wiring in our outlet was all wonky from before, like whoever built the house or whatever. We had electricians come and they had to rewire the outlets and install the circuit breaker.

Our experience with Temp Control was wonderful from start to finish! Our air conditioner was not blowing cold air and we called a couple of other companies who were unable to schedule an appointment for two weeks due to an overload of work related to the unseasonably hot weather. My husband called Temp Control and not only were they able to schedule an appointment the next day, but were also able to give us direction on what to do with the operation of our air conditioner in the meantime. The appointment was scheduled for between 12:00 and 2:00 on June 10, 2011. Chris arrived at 1:00 and was quickly able to diagnose the problem and also found another problem, which likely explained why our air conditioner was not as "cold" as we felt it should have been in the prior weeks leading up to our problem. Chris was also able to tell me exactly how much each repair would cost when he discussed the same with me. Chris quickly repaired the problem and our air conditioner was running better than before within an hour of his arrival. He also gave me additional information on preventive maintenance, i.e. trimming bushes around the unit, and answered questions I had about the possibility of purchasing new units in the future as well as the reasons/solutions for our upstairs not cooling as well. Chris was a delight with which to deal and was courteous, professional and knowledgable. We also used the 10% Angie's List coupon, which saved us about $28 as the total bill was $280.25 before the discount.

If I had to describe the whole experience of the installation in one word, it would be perfect. Eloy came to our home and took measurements of our home, and the amount of windows, even the direction our house was facing to determine the correct size unit we would need. He also went into the crawl space to look at the ductwork, and discovered it needed to be replaced. Something the numerous other companies that came out for estimates did NOT do. After I did some research, It turns out that our house was originally bought with the upstairs un finished, and the contractor had installed a 2 ton unit, with ductwork to match. The first owner finished the upstairs, and replaced the unit with a 3 1/2 ton unit (but did not replace the ductwork) which was now ours and that had just died. Eloy explained that the duct work was too small for the unit to operate correctly. (Basically imagine trying to breath correctly through a straw all the time!) then Eloy recommended 3 different units to choose from. We chose the American Standard (Trane). Eloy gave us a great price on replacing all the ductwork and grills. He personally calculated the correct size ductwork, and drew up the schematic for the sq footage, so our home would be cooled and heated correctly. The work took 2 days. One to tear out all the old ductwork, and the second to install the new ductwork and the new unit. All I can say is WOW. We used to have rooms too cold, and others too warm in the Winter, and vise versa in the Summer. Now it's within 2 degrees everywhere. No more space heaters, and shutting off vents! Coming from a person who REALLY does their homework when doing a big project like this, I HIGHLY recommend Temp Control. It took about a month for the work to begin due to weather issues and the local electrical company. But once it did begin, they were organized and clean. I dealt with them over the phone for the most part, but they were always very kind and patient on the phone. They also dealt with the local electrical company instead of making me deal with them myself.

They removed the old unit and had the new one installed and working in just a few hours and they also helped us with the forms to claim both the federal and state energy efficiency tax credits. Everyone we worked with was very professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend Temp Control to anyone needing heating/ac services.

They were not the first business we called, but after receiving a ridiculous bid of $1200 from a contractor that lives on our street, we found Temp Control on Angie's List. My husband spent most of the afternoon nailing down what time Temp Control would be here; Kurt arrived at approximately 5:50 p.m. He removed and drained the leaking hot water heater and installed the new one in a little over an hour. Kurt was extremely professional and went to great lengths to explain what he did, things we could do to prolong the life of the new hot water heater, and made other suggestions for regular maintenance. Although it was frustrating to have the arrival time change throughout the afternoon, we would definitely use Temp Control again and recommend them to anyone.

Chris arrived on time and clearly explained what he saw in my heating unit. It was evident from his investigation that there were a few parts that needed replacement - this increased the cost from the $250 quoted to the $521 paid. Chris spent over an hour and a half in my condo doing the necessary work, and mentioned that I had been quoted the incorrect price of $80 for the check-up since I had 2 sets of stairs that he needed to climb to get to the heating unit. He did however only charge me the $80 after confirming it with his office manager. I did not compare the cost of the replacement parts elsewhere so I don't know if they were priced appropriately, although I did see the same thermostat in Home Depot for about $60 later that weekend. Since it only took about 15 minutes to install, that was a quite expensive installation cost. Having seen him do it, it was something I could have done myself, and saved the expense. Overall, I was happy to have someone with Chris' experience perform the maintenance on my HV, and will use Temp Control to look at my AC in the spring.

Kurt started on the P-trap and the other PVC parts under my sink. They weren't the problem, but were old and somewhat clogged. I asked him if he would just replace them anyway, which he did. Next he brought out a powerful clearing machine. It did the trick, and my sink drains very fast now. He had no problem working around my young children. They were mesmerized by the drain clearing machine. This is money well-spent. I'm glad I won't be faced with nasty gray water collecting in my sinks every few months. We talked about doing an annual plumbing inspection and water heater flush to be more proactive in the future. I'll definitely call them back for this. Thanks Temp Control LLC!

Eloy, the owner, was involved in the entire process and was prompt each time he cam to our house - for the estimate, the measurements, and for the actual installation. Their prices were competitive, and they were professional in all interactions.

Excellent customer service and fair pricing.

When Eloy came to my house for the "site visit" so that a quote could be prepared, he first took measurements of all my windows and exterior surface areas of my house. He also checked the type of window insulation (single pane, double pane, storm window), and climbed up to my attic to measure the depth and type of insulation. He asked about wall insulation upstairs and in the basement. Then he went over his offerings (Ruud and American Standard brands). Because my work was being done in 2010, I qualified for a Tennessee energy rebate, and also a Federal Gov't tax credit of $1,500. Not to get ahead of my story, I will mention that after all the work was complete, Temp Control gave me all the paperwork I needed to apply for these benefits, AND I also qualified for a system rebate from Ruud, the manufacturer, so I was given the paperwork already filled out to send to Ruud (I had to sign it, and fill out the address on an envelope, but that was it). The next day, Eloy called with the quote. He had put all the numbers for the measurements he took into a computer program that calculated my house's energy demands for heating and cooling. In fact, it calculates separate values for heat and for cool needs, with the system design based on both numbers. Then a "safety factor" is applied so that the system is not under-designed. I was also told that if they put in an under-sized system - one that cannot meet the needs of my house - they would replace it with a larger one, no questions asked. I put a down payment on the system and we agreed on the installation date - December 8. That morning, bright and early, the Temp Control folks showed up. They set to work and removed my old system, then set to installing the new one. My old system had a humidifier built in that I no longer used, so Temp Control removed it and patched the duct work (at no extra charge). By six that night, everything was in place. The new system was started, and Eloy and another fellow - a specialist in the electrical connections - ran some tests. Well, there was some problem with a valve on the outside unit, something with the compressor wasn't working correctly. So, the next day Eloy came out and replaced the whole unit! Not just whatever part wasn't working, but the whole unit! By the way, I really appreciated that he immediately told me that there was a problem, he explained what the problem was, and that he would fix it. (Some people so hate to admit there's a problem.) Since then, I have been totally happy with the performance. By the way, I checked the Consumer Reports website, and Ruud systems have the lowest or maybe the second-lowest repair frequency of all HVAC brands for consumer application. I also want to mention that the Temp Control office kept me informed of all aspects of the job - billing, who was going to be working at my house, when they would be there, and so on. Oh, and they sent me photos of the employees who would be doing the work so that I would know who to look for.

Again Eloy and team to the rescue. We almost had a company come in and not do an estimate visit. They would not apply the inspection cost to the job if we decided to go with them. WHAT!!! We remembered TempControl does more than HVAC. OMGosh. Thank goodness! Eloy came in and for FREE inspected what needed to be done. This is a very old house and no crawl space to speak of. It would have taken the other company several hours to determine where to put the new outlet (@$90.00/hour). Eloy's team came in and put it in in a short amount of time. The electrician was very knowledgeable and was able to better assess the job once he got into the space to install it. This was not a simple install. This was a new line from the "box" which is across the house. They did it in the crawl space and so NO WIRES SHOWING!!] He and another man installed it and it is perrrrfect! We also needed a new water heater and Eloy recommended someone he works with and he did the job very reasonably. The electrician and the plumber worked together to make sure everything was in the right place and at the right height if the basement should get water in it again. We did quote the water heater with several other companies, but this plumber was less and recommended by Eloy. We have grown to depend on TempControl, Eloy and his team. Small family owned company... big on service, getting the job done right and for a fair/reasonable price.

Very good experience. Quick response to initial call. Lots of good, clear info during estimate process. Told me about state rebate program that other companies did not mention. Scheduling was convenient. Very responsive to my questions. Showed up on time; finished ahead of schedule. Owner swept up with his own broom!! :o) Follow up questions answered quickly. Owner involved in process and clearly felt accountable; employees were professional. Less expensive than big companies in town; more expensive than some others, but price is fair and reflective of quality of service. A good value.

They completed the job another company ( L-- Company) couldn't complete because they couldn't remove a bracket installed by my kitchen installer. Temp Control not only removed the bracket,but managed to drill through the exterior wall, install all the venting duct work even though the cabinet hood was already installed which is somewhat difficult considering they had to do everything by climbing over the cabinets and crown molding working from a ladder. You would think the guy was some sort of contortionist! I was so pleased with the way things went with the vent install, I had them do a pre-season heating checkup on my 3 gas furnaces....

The overall experience was good but not great. If I would have gone with this company I would have felt confident I was getting quality products and workmanship. The quote they gave me though was very standard, just a PDF they could send to anyone. They never sent me a written estimate on replacing the duct work although they did quote me a price during the visit. I asked for a quote on insualtion work but they never sent this. Not a bad experience but was looking for a few more options considering the size of the job.

Temp Control was very punctual, professional and exceeding our exceptions. We will definitely us them in the future.

Eloy came and inspected our unit and showed us why it wasn't functioning properly. He took the time to answer all our questions, and presented us with options involving repair or replacement. We chose to replace the unit due to its age, condition, and the tax credit that is currently available. We went with American Standard for the new unit due to the features (two-stage cooling), warranty, and company reputation. Eloy and his crew arrived on time to install the new unit and haul away the old one. The work was done professionally and the new unit is functioning perfectly.

From the initial estimate to the actual installation was done in a very professional manner. They made sure when they came in the house they either removed their shoes or put shoe covers on to protect my floors. They worked in inclement weather to get the job done in a timely fashion. They cleaned up everything and left no trash and also explained how to use the thermostats before they left. The workers were very friendly and polite. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone who needed that service. Susan is very efficient in getting back to your phone calls/e-mails and is very friendly and curteous....a pleasure to talk to. Eloy will answer all your questions in a timely fashion and is very professional.

I was hoping to give Eloy and his team great accolades about service, professionalism, etc., but it will seem redundant since everyone says that about Temp Control. We usually use Lee and their estimator did not have a clue how to help us. He actually said his expertise was plumbing, but he could give us a price on a new furnace. I digressed? Eloy knew everything and more. He had a member of his team come out and measure the house to make sure we got the correct size unit. The team was there before 8 am and worked for 12 hours to get the units installed. Now folks this is in 90 degree heat they are doing this and Eloy was right there with them. We are very happy with the units and with the service and attitude of Eloy and his team. Susan is great and worked with us on the financing, etc. They are just great people. We went to Angie?s List to get some bids on doing this job. We went with Temp Control because they helped us understand what we needed and how we could get the most benefit from our purchase. And we got a hand written thank you note from them for giving them our business! Need I say more...

I shared most of it above but I can not say enough how frustrated I was with our heating and cooling until Temp Control came to the rescue! We had several big name companies really just want to replace the remaining old system with another 3-ton unit but I felt they failed to listen to my concerns and never took the time to evaluate our need. Temp Control evaluated each and every room including the kind of appliances (heat production), windows, or anything that might contribute to heat loss/gain. Eloy then designed a system that has been awesome from the moment it was turned on. Leading up to the project and through out it, they were professional as I asked many questions and had many concerns. I could not be more pleased with the quality of this company and their workmanship, professionalism and reliability.

VERY fast, efficient, and friendly. Found the issue right away and didn't try to trump it up or overcharge.

Based on the recommendations from Angie's list, I called Temp Control for an estimate on replacing my broken AC. Susan provided an estimate over the phone and later emailed the quote. Because of rebates and tax credits, it was more cost effective to get the energy star system than the basic system. Also, the quotes were WAY less than the big company with TV commercials. Eloy came out and measured the house for the heat loss calculation. A few days later, Eloy and the installers came back, installed the new system, and showed me how to program the fancy blue thermostat. The new system is much quieter and more efficient than my previous unit. I highly recommend Temp Control.

Great! I had three company's provide quotes for the replacement of a heat pump. One company came back extremely high and with several 'suggestions' to improve airflow by adding more airducts. Temp Control came and Eloy reviewed my current situation, listened to my requests for replacements of units, and provided recommendations, high end and mid-level, for different units I could select as a replacement. He sat with me and explained the differences of the various units and presented the positive and negatives of all. Once we narrowed the selection down to 3-4 different units, he emailed me the quote for the unit, work and all included expenses. The third vendor came and quoted me the same unit Eloy had, only $1500 more. Once I chose Temp Control Eloy came over and took comprehensive measurements inside and outside of the home. He also noted the fire place and window measurements for preparation of a load calculation; the calculation results came back showing that the recommended 3 ton unit was too large for my space, so Eloy recommended a 2.5 ton unit costing me $300 less. Eloy and his collegues started at 7:30 the next morning and were finished by 1:00 PM. Eloy explained all the changes and gave me a quick training on the programmable thermostat. It was a great experience with a positive end result. The new unit is working well and I would highly recommend Temp Control to others wishing to support a local business owner and wanting to rediscover true customer service.
