These guys sell you on extended services, are rude on the phone, and the carpet was not cleaned well at all. I would not use them ever again.

Went very smooth and very helpfull staff..

Stars and Stripes came to the house I'm remodeling to clean my ducts. The price the employee quoted me was 3 times higher than the $15 per register and $30 for the return. My house has not been renovated since the Nashville flood, so I only wanted to clean the ducts in the crawlspace. The guy giving me the quote didn't want to only do the lower half of the house. So I told him to write out the quote and I'd get back with him. His reply, "Oh, we don't write out bids. I'm here to do the job now. You either want me to do it or you don't." Finally he agreed to only do the lower level. I told him the price was too high, so he called his boss. I talked to the owner on the phone and explained about the flood and that I was only looking to do the lower part of the house. He said that he couldn't go any lower and that I'd get what I pay for. I told the tech to go ahead and do it, since he could get it done that afternoon. After I signed the paperwork to complete the work, I explained to him that I had appointments all afternoon and that I wouldn't be back until after 5. He said, "Well, you have to pay me." I told him that I could pay with a Visa after I checked over his work at the end of the day. He said that he couldn't do that. I asked him if it was unusual for a customer to want to check out the work before they paid, and he said that it was. So back on the phone with the owner, "Hey, I just want to know how I can pay you at the end of the day. I can come by after 5 to inspect the work. Can I just pay you with a Visa over the phone?" (I was very conscious of being very nice to him after our last communication.) He responded, "I don't like the way you do business. I've been doing this for 17 years, and I do good work. I don't need your money!" Click. He hung up on me! I told the tech, "I guess I asked the wrong question. He hung up on me." I don't know how he's kept a business running for 17 years. Stay away! I ended up with Vortex Duct Cleaning later in the week. Check that review out. They are amazing!!!!!

I was to pay $200 with a credit card and $300 in cash for the service when the bill was $447.78. I received a phone call from Jermie stating that the credit card I gave wouldn’t go through for $200. He was very belligerent and threatening about the situation. I assured him that it was fine so I called my bank and my wife. Everything was fine and there is plenty of credit on the card. I called him back saying that Chase had no restrictions and to try it again. He threatened to call the police and was claiming fraud on my part. I was really taken back by this and called my lawyer. He said to call Chase back to get more details. Chase show that Stars and Stripes was trying to charge $247 right after trying to charge around $2.00. Chase said that small amounts like that are flagged for fraud and that’s why the larger charge wouldn’t go through. I call Jermie back and I asked why he was trying to charge $247 and he had no reason at all. I have since paid the $200 and that has gone through for the credit card. The owner will not return my call any longer after accusing of something that was clearly not my fault and being extremely unprofessional about the whole experience.

The technician was friendly, but did not do a good job cleaning the rugs (didn't clean behind doors). Most troubling was that the technician said he would give me a discount if I wrote the check directly to him, rather than to the company. Seems like he was trying to scam his boss, so I wouldn't be surprised if he scammed customers too. Not good business in my opinion. Also, he was supposed to clean my HVAC system and 2 days later it broke. I don't know for sure that it was related, but seems highly unlikely that it would work all summer only to break within 2 days of service.

They shwed p on time and also called ahead to let me know they were on the way..They were dressed neatly and they cleaned up after themselves..That was a huge deal to me...

The person who came to give us an estimate and take the rugs was not completely prepared; he did not have our correct phone number (probably not his fault), no pen or pencil, and he used our calculator to figure the costs. Then he needed to use our bathroom. I did not have a problem with any of these things since the end product and price were excellent.

Horrible!

They brought it back wet. It was clean, it was just still wet. I called them about it and they told me to hang it over the railing on the deck and let it dry. I was not happy.

I live in a large house in an upscale subdivision. I'm careful about who works in my home. The techs came out and gave me a price. I immediately approved the price. I've used several different carpet cleaners and the price Stars & Stripes quoted was much better. They cleaned my carpets, area rugs and air vents/air ducts. They got out the dirt and even the pet stains. They took my area rugs with them to clean and returned them two days earlier than promised. The techs were clean cut and very professional.The owner, Jermie England called to check on their performance the day of the carpet cleaning and again after the area rugs were delivered. I highly recommend Stars and Stripes.

Well the service was great I must say fast and very afforable.This is the Second time Ive used this company in a months time.Im a realtor and I wll definately pass the word about this company.Ive tried several companies in the past and this company hands down is a class act company.The two men that came out was dressed neat an both had there name on there shirt that was nice to see. Both was very nice and respectful.

Overall the service went very well.. The technician came and went over everything with me before starting any type of work. Which was very nice, because I had a few questions about how he would get the stains out and the high traffic area.

It didn't! This business is not trustworthy!

They were incredibly rude. I'm clearly not a carpet cleaning specialist and had many questions that they were NOT willing to answer. They just kept telling me that they had been in business for 16 years and that "they must be doing something right." Eventually, they rudely told me I should just go with someone else. I am still in shock at how unprofessional they were and I will most certainly take my business elsewhere!

I called Stars & Stripes on 12/8/2010 about getting our carpet cleaned. I was told the carpet would be dry in a few hours. They came out that day and cleaned. However, the carpet was still wet 24 hours later. On Friday (12th) the carpets were dirty so I called the owner (Jermie England) to correct problem. I told him I was hoping for Friday to allow drying over the weekend. He said he could not do it until Saturday. I told him that we did not work on Saturdays. He didn't seem to care. I had to call him back a couple of times to work out the details of Saturday. I told him we would be there at 7am. He said the tech would call between 7am & 8am. I said we would be there and he said "I don't care.. if the tech calls and you do not answer he will not come"! He was very rude. I told he our phones are automated and do not ring during non-business hours. I gave him my cell number. Saturday I waited until 8am and no one called. Not wanting to waist my Saturday I went to do my personal stuff. Later (close to 8:30am) the tech called. I told him that he was to call between 7 & 8am and he said "No one told me". He said that he would call later and see if he could do it then. He never called. Monday the 13th. I called Jermie. He said the tech called but we were not available. We argued over this & the time the tech called. I told him it was after the time we were told and he said "Have a great day" and hung up!

The owner, Jermie England, provided all the coordination and frequently followed up with us during the entire process to see how things were progressing. He also answered his phone when we called him with questions. Stars & Stripes were very price competitive and professional. Mr. England worked very hard to please us and give good service. We got good value for the dollars we spent.
