The work took all day, because I had a huge list. He did an excellent job. I am making another list to call them back. I email him, he emails me back, we work out a time, and we go from there. He shows up on time, and he is very professional. He knows what he is doing. He has his truck full of supplies, or we will talk before hand, so he knows what to get. I am really pleased with him.

We were experiencing leaks under our patio facing exterior doors. Typically this occurred if there was heavy rain. Once Matt arrived, he diagnosed the issue as being a threshold issue. Matt did an amazing job - there have 2 storms since he finished the work and there have been no leaks whatsoever. He's fantastic!

MATT IS AMAZING!!! This is the second time we have used him for various household repairs. He is definitely our "go to" guy for repairs. He isa great problem solver and works with you to decide on the most appropriate, cost-effective solution. We highly recommend Matt.

He didn't come to my house. He said where I live was a little too far out for him to come. He only covers a certain territory in Bellevue. I was disappointed but said okay and thanked him for his time. I am really not that much further out than where he usually works but o well.

Matt had done a day's worth of house repairs for me earlier in the month, including pulling my dryer out from the wall because i said it seemed to be blowing a lot of lint. he discovered that when my laundry shelves had fallen down (one of the things he fixed for me!), they had torn the dryer hose away from the dryer so that lint was not going into the hose but was being blown into the room straight from the dryer. at that time he said that he thought the hose might be plugged up, tho, because even when he got it reconnected to the dryer, it didn't seem to be blowing very much, if at all, at the outside vent. he therefore suggested that i should have a dryer vent cleaning service come and blow the hose clear. so i did that, but when the dryer vent people came, they said they could not feel any air blowing at all and could not see the dryer hose where it was supposed to be connected to the outside vent and thought that perhaps a bird or animal had gotten inside the hose and torn it away from the vent. they had no way to find the loose end and thought it was blowing somewhere inside the walls of my house. they suggested that i call my regular plumbing people and have them come out and find the hose, perhaps with a small camera that could be inserted thru the outside vent and inside my walls. so i did that, but when my regular plumbing people came out, they said they didn't have any type of camera flexible enough to find the dryer hose that way; they suggested that i needed to have a contractor of some kind come out and make a new hole to vent the dryer. visions of dollar signs blowing out the dryer vent started to appear in my head. so i e-mailed matt in a panic, asking what i should do -- should i call a contractor to come and drill another vent hole in my outside wall, how could i find where the disconnected hose was, could he recommend someone for me? he sent me a nice e-mail and said he would think about it for a few days and get back to me. two days later, he e-mailed me and said that he had some ideas and would come over the next day with supplies to figure it out, which he did. when he got here, i told him that if he didn't want to do this kind of thing -- which was much more complicated than the types of repairs he usually does for me -- i was willing to call a contractor. he said, no, he knew that if i called a contractor, someone would charge me way more than they should, and he couldn't be sure that they would figure this out in the most efficient and cost-effective manner for me, and he considered it part of his responsibility to look after his clients in this way. then, in short order, he figured out not only where the dryer hose probably was inside my walls, where it was supposed to go, and where to cut a small hole in my garage ceiling to get to it but also how to repair it (indeed, a bird had built a nice cozy nest inside it sometime in the distant past), how to insert some stronger hose pipe onto the broken end, and how to connect it back up to the outside vent. then he replaced the cut-out part of my garage ceiling back with screws so that it would be closed but we could get back into it if the hose got damaged again. he also replaced the outside vent fixture. i know that matt is always very tightly scheduled, but he managed to make time to come help me. this is completely typical of how conscientious he is. before he even arrived, he had already bought several different pieces of hardware that he thought he might be able to use in fixing this dryer vent thing for me, and i'm sure that he bought more supplies than he ended up using for me, but he didn't charge me for anything except what he used. i trust matt absolutely with anything having to do with repairs in my house. he always has his client's interest at heart and goes out of his way to do whatever he can to make sure that things are done right.

matt is absolutely extraordinary. for one thing, he is extremely competent; in addition, tho (and which is almost more important), he is extremely creative in figuring out how to fix things inexpensively and so that they stay fixed. with anything he does, i never worry that i will have to call him to come back over again to work on something he has already worked on. his work is very precise, and he has a terrific sense of where to put things (such as shelves) so that there is space to maneuver around them even if he is working with a very small area. he always tells me what is important and what can wait. he goes out of his way to make it easier to live in a house. he always comes on time, doesn't waste time, and is a true pleasure to work with. i would not hesitate to ask him to do any project in my house, with full confidence that he would tell me what is practical and what is not. he does not cut corners and does not rush thru things just to get them done. he is very careful about measuring so that things end up in the right place the first time. he doesn't leave until he is sure that i am satisfied with what he's done. he is very fair in the charges for his time, and he is worth every cent. plus he's an all-around nice guy. i feel very lucky to be on his client list!

We are very pleased with his work. He is very knowledgeable and informative and advises when he needs to consult with someone else. We will continue to use him and would recommend him to others.

He did a thorough, detailed job and was pleasant to deal with. Would definitely use him again.

Matt is one of the best finds I have made on Angie's List over the last 8 years. He has done several jobs for me, both commercial and residential. He does very high-quality and creative work. Matt is very detailed and explains each situation, what options he feels are best, what materials he will need, how long it will take, etc. His rates are very reasonable, especially considering the care and thought he put into each job. He works with my schedule and squeezes me in when it is critical.

I appreciated his responsiveness even if he was unable to do the job. I would consider contacting him in the future for other jobs.

We love him. He tries to understand short vs. long term needs and price the solution accordingly.

The cellar door had rotted out on the bottom due to the fact that a gutter was emptying water backwards directly on to the door which he discovered when we were looking at the door in a Nashville downpour. He comes at the appointed time regardless of h*** or high water (as in this case). Matt has done several repairs for us over the past couple of years and we have been totally satisfied with his work.

He was great. There was a faulty part in the faucet we had purchased and he went to Home Depot and replaced it without charging for time.

I have used Matt before and he is always courteous and does good work for a fair price.

Matt did a great job for us. He does things the right way and takes pride in his work. He is also enjoyable to get to know and to have around. We will definitely use him again when we have needs in the future and highly recommend him to others.

Matt is fantastic! He was so responsive, easy to work with and really just a nice guy. He's honest about what he can and can't do and has a great network of recommendations for anything outside his wheelhouse. I've already recommended him to a coworker and can't say enough good things about him.

Matt is a very down to earth person and will tell you upfront if can't do something instead of trying and making a problem worse. He does various repairs as we sold our home and had a list of repairs the buyers were wanting completed. He stayed in constant communication and updated as needed. I highly recommend Matt. Matt was professional in all things - he returned all phone calls, showed up exactly on time, and worked from the second he walked into my house. The Ikea loveseat and table he put together, as well as the three bar stools for my kitchen counter "eating spot," all look terrific. What might be a small thing to some people was a big thing for me - I truly appreciated having a courteous professional handing this for me. I absolutely will use him again. Hopefully by then I can figure out how to make my cat stop hissing at him... then again, she does that to everyone!

I will call Matt again for any future needs! He was friendly, professional, meticulous in his work, and wanted to make sure I was happy with all work performed. While I usually stay away from paying hourly rates, I wouldn't hesitate with Matt as he wastes no time and his rates are very reasonable.

Matt was fantastic! He was very responsive and communicated all details with me, was on time, and looked over every job I needed to come up with the best approach to each repair. I highly recommend Matt and have already arranged to use him again. The work was just completed and I have not received an invoice yet, so I am not sure of the cost, but I do not anticipate it being out of line. Matt is a problem solver as noted above. He is appropriately friendly', professional and communicates well so that decisions are jointly made. He demonstrated the skill of a locksmith. He also demonstrated the willingness to share technical knowledge by explaining why building settling causes wall board cracking above doors & windows.

I called Matt Mauch and made an appointment for him to come see the issues I was having and to insure he could do all the necessary work. He was prompt, very cordial, very professional, sincere, and honest. The day he did the work, he had to make 3 different trips to Home Depot for parts for unexpected problems that arose, did all the work in an excellent manner, and did not leave a mess anywhere. He made sure I saw everything he did and that I approved. He also told me he would return and repair or re-do anything that did not work right after he left. I was very happy with everything he did and had absolutely no problems with anything he worked on. He is very versatile and can do most any kind of work except electrical. I had some electrical work that needed to be done and he recommended someone to me who turned out to be an excellent electrician. Matt charges $48 per hour, and his work is as good as it gets. I will use him again and highly recommend him for most any kind of work around the home.

It is always a pleasure to work with Mike because you could tell he takes pride in his work. Some of the work was tedious, but it was done well. I was quite satisfied with the time arrangement we made. Mike spent the entire day working. He also looked at another job I needed done and made a contact for me to have the work done. That helped a great deal.
