We hired Mallory Drew from On Key Landscaping to remove an evergreen tree and plant a weeping willow tree. He did remove the evergreen - He discouraged us from planting the willow tree where we wanted to because he said roots from the old tree would be in the way. The tree should not have been planted where it was because of the drainage easement. But the worst part was that the hole dug was not large enough nor deep enough. The bulb of the tree was several inches above the soil line. And the tree was not properly tamped down with soil. The next morning the tree was severely leaning over. We called and told Drew and he came and staked the tree. It is now staked too tight and the trunk is curved. We asked him to replant the tree correctly and move it to where we wanted it. He gave us a price - we agreed - he is now not responding to our telephone calls or text messages. We are concerned this tree may not survive because of the sloppy way it was planted.

I called them the following morning and my husband suggested I stop payment on the check I gave them. I felt they would take care of the problem so i didn't do that. Before they had arrived to stake the tree, they had cashed the check already. If I had stopped payment on the check I feel I would have had the problem corrected by now. At this point, I don't feel that the issue will be corrected at all.
Description of Work: We hired them to plant a weeping willow tree. They did not dig deep enough nor dig a large enough hole so the tree was not planted deep enough. The next morning the willow tree was completely bent over. They came back and staked it up. They staked it to tight and now the trunk is bent. They are now ignoring our phone calls and text messages to come back and fix the problem.
