I had originally told Jason a few days before the move that there would be 100 boxes plus the furniture but since rain was forecasted that day, I went ahead and rented a uhaul and moved most of the boxes the day before. They had mentioned it should only take 2-3 hours for the move and I rented 3 guys and 26' truck at $120/hr. First of all, they came late and I didn't get a call from Jason until after 9am when they were supposed to be there. I understand they had been busy with helping with the flood and he said the night before they had worked real late and my moving day was the next day, Friday. So when they did finally get there it was 10:30am when they clocked on. Since they had been so late I had moved most of the boxes in the garage so it would be easier loading. Let me say I've never hired movers before so this is my first impression. I don't know if it was because it was Friday or if they had worked too hard all week but they moved slow. I understand that they wrapped all of the wooden furniture and that I had some heavy pieces and stairs were involved in half of the furniture but in my opinion it could have went faster. Plus some of them were taking personal calls discussing weekend plans which didn't seem professional to me. The main guy told me it should take 2-3 hours for what they had to do after he looked at everything and said it would be a lot faster unloading then loading but it took them 3.5 hours to load and then 3 hours to unload because they wrapped the blankets when they were unloading which took more time. Also, they moved slow. They broke the knob on my washing machine and couldn't fix it. They used my tape and didn't ask me. I don't know what they would have done if they hadn't of had the tape so I didn't understand why they weren't prepared either. The main guy hurt his hand and went missing for awhile as he walked to my neighbors looking for a bandaid. Sorry but I would think in this job you get hurt or you should where gloves (which he wasn't) and so he wasn't very happy when he got hurt but again, they weren't prepared. I can see that moving would not be an easy job and I'd hate to do it myself but I was paying them to do this and it just felt like they were not in any rush to get done. Jason did come and fix my washing machine but the day he was supposed to come, he didn't call or return my calls and never showed up so when I called him the next morning he did come out then. Also I gave them B's because I've never had movers before so maybe this is what I should expect but next time I'll try someone else and see if I have the same experience. They did do what they were supposed to do and overall the guys were friendly enough so I did tip them since they did me a service and were there all day. Also I did receive a discount by being an Angie's List member so that was good too.

When I called and left a message I was called back very promptly. I told the owner what size store unit we had and listed some of the larger objects they would move. he gave me a quote, but made it known it could be over or under by a little bit. When the movers showed up ON TIME, they were very nice, helpful and worked hard. you always wonder what the work ethic will be like when you're paying by the hour, but they did an excellent job and I was very satisfied.

Spoke with the owner a couple of times on the phone prior to actual move date. We had to reschedule due to not being quite ready to move, and they were super nice and accommodating. They were supposed to arrive between 8 and 9, but got there around 9:30, but from then on it was THE BEST EXPERIENCE I've ever had with a moving company. The workers were all VERY nice and very professional, and super helpful/willing to move anything we asked. I had to be gone about half of the day, so my mom and wife were there to supervise and help direct and they both raved about how nice and great the guys were. As it goes with most moves we weren't 100% packed, even though we thought we were. They worked all day, packing everything carefully, covering everything, taking good care with all of our prized possessions. They wrapped the door frames with protective padding and the flooring as well. We were so pleased with the work they did. They even offered to help us get rid of boxes after we had unpacked them. They didn't charge us for their lunch hour, they were respectful, nice, and friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jason is the nicest person I have ever dealt with for services. He is a genuine person. He gave me a price for five hours and he worked with me to cut time to save money. I really appreciated this information. I mentioned something in the house and he even came in a fixed it for me. He never used high pressure sales tactics. He is also giving me a senior citizen discount. I did not even receive any other estimates because I was so impressed with his service.

I picked Mr. Mover after finding their stellar ratings here on Angie's List and speaking personally with someone who'd recently used them and was very pleased. I was only moving about 5 miles but everything still has to be packed up and moved. Because of my schedule, I realized a day or two before the move that I wouldn't be able to finish packing, not by a long shot. I had boxes, tape, bubble pack, etc., but just no time. Jason assured me that they could pack for me, for the same hourly rate as the actual move. When Ryan and Tyler arrived (promptly), I met them outside and warned them that there was **A LOT** of packing to be done. I was working on no sleep and was pretty stressed out but they came in, surveyed the disaster area, which was basically the whole house, and said, "We've got this." And they did. How they managed, I'll never know, but they did it and their energy never flagged, and neither did their professionalism and courtesy. They carefully packed breakables and wrapped things like dressers in plastic wrap so they could be moved without having to be unpacked, which was wonderful. A bed had to be dis-assembled and re-assembled and they sailed through that. A small wheeled leg on an antique dresser was clearly crooked when they set it up in the new place and they stopped and worked on it until they had it perfectly straight. I'd given them some Sharpies and all boxes they packed were all clearly hand-labeled as to the room they came from, and when the boxes were brought into the new place, they were placed in or near each appropriate room. Each box even had the first name of who packed it, which says a lot about Mr. Mover's accountability. They packed the truck as carefully as they packed the boxes, making sure lighter items weren't crushed by heavier ones, and rearranging things as they went to ensure the best use of their space (all of which my stuff ultimately needed). I couldn't believe the amount of stuff I had that had to be packed up, and it was everywhere because of my earlier attempts to pack things myself, but if it bothered them, they never let on and they never slowed down. I actually spent a fair amount of time sitting in the car because nothing I could do did anything but get in their way, so I let them do what they do. It was a very very long day for them, and I appreciate what they did SO MUCH. A couple of days later, I did my first load of laundry and the hot and cold water didn't work as expected. I finally realized that the lines were crossed. I called and Jason came over personally. In fact, Ryan and Tyler did nothing wrong. It was my laundry room's faucets that were backward -- the cold was on the left and the hot was on the right. Jason switched the hoses and wouldn't let me pay him for his time, saying it was just good customer service, and I'll second that. If you have to move, I suggest you save yourself the time of looking around, and go with the best: Mr. Mover. You'll be glad for the peace of mind.

Despite snow in Nashville, the truck arrived in Birmingham exactly on time. The movers were courteous, articulate, careful with boxes and furniture, and absolutely professional in every way. They make me (almost) want to move again.

I contacted Mr. Mover less than one week from our move date. We were scheduled for 4:00 in the afternoon. We made great time getting to Nashville and called Jason the day before to see if we could scedule an earlier move in time. The move was sceduled for 10:30-10:45. The two gentleman didn't arive until after 11:00 but did call to say that they would be late which was not a problem at all. They worked quickly, carefully and didn't compalin although it was hot and we were on the third floor. I would definatly contact Mr. Mover again and thank you guys again for a job well done.

Great job! They handled every antique piece with 'kid gloves' and it all came through the move without a scratch or crack. Overall, the guys were professional, friendly, careful, fast and efficient. They worked their tails off for a 12-hour move, and 'shut the meter off' for meal breaks (which were a reasonable length). The only problem was that the office underestimated how much stuff I had, and I had to rent an additional U-Haul (which is the only reason I gave them "B" in professionalism). They sent only one truck and three guys, and they don't have those big moving vans.

Jason & Nick did a wonderful job, kept us informed about their progress and finished within their estimated time. They made sure everything was in the proper room at the new house before calling it a day. Absolutely nothing was damaged!

This was, by far, my best experience with a moving company. After having used many different moving companies in the past and experiencing property damage and all-around awful service, I was nervous about this move. Jason was very helpful on the phone in setting up the move. The movers, Nick and Eric, showed up on time and began right away. They were friendly, professional, and extremely careful with our items. They moved quickly but carefully, taking the time to wrap and pad furniture. Our stress level dropped very quickly when we observed the care they were taking with our furniture. When moving large items in a certain room posed a challenge, these guys took the time to think about how to fit them through the narrow doorway and tight corners, which we greatly appreciated. I will certainly recommend this company to anyone needing moving services.

Jason was very professional, courteous, punctual and FAST. It was a great experience from start to finish. I will recommend Mr. Movers to all my friends.

Jason and crew were by far the best movers we have ever experienced. They worked hard and fast, were extremely careful and professional, and went the extra mile to make the move easy. All the hardware that was removed from furniture was bagged and identified, and nothing was lost in translation. Even at the end of a very long day, they were more than happy to carry some very heavy old TVs out to the garage for us. They're as good as it gets.

I called Mr. Mover upon seeing its high rating on Angie's List. I scheduled my Saturday move 3 or 4 days in advance. They were courteous and receptive when I made the appointment. The movers called about an hour and a half in advance to tell me they were stopping for lunch and then driving to where I lived. They arrived on time and moved everything within two hours. This included taking the hinges off one door and taking apart and reassembling a bed. Everything went very smoothly, and they were very friendly and professional. I asked about the $20 Angies List coupon, and he called the manager since I did not have it printed out, and I received $20 off. Well worth the money, and I didn't have to lift a finger.

The move went very well. Mr Mover personnel were on time to start the move. They were polite and professional. They took care of the furniture and cooperated getting everything set just where we wanted it plus they made good suggestions how to use the available space. The move took almost 5 hours when we were told to expect 3 hours. The set-up of the furniture combined with the two floor arrangement at the final destination affected the time estimate. I would recommend Mr Mover without hesitation and would use them again. They may not represent the absolute lowest cost mover but they are probably the best value when service and attitude are factored in.

Paying at an hourly rate, I anticipated breaks and a generally slow process. I was pleasantly surprised when the two guys worked straight through from start to finish, 3.5 hours, with no significant breaks. They lifted some really heavy furniture up some very difficult stairs without a glitch, though with a few comments of the "sturdiness" of hardwood furniture. They kept their sense of humor throughout, were personable, and overall pleasant to work with. They even made some good suggestions on furniture placement when we were deliberating! Bottom line-I felt that I definitely got my money's worth! Jason and his moving staff were motivated, energetic, and pleasant-an unbeatable combination. I will definitely hire Mr. Mover when it comes time again to move.
