Move On

The move went fine. It took much longer than expected but I cannot be upset about that at all. CK Carries sent 3 guys and they worked tirelessly and non-stop getting the truck loaded. They never took a break until it was fully loaded. They started at 9:30am (per my request) and finished loading the truck around 4:00pm. We all took a break after that to nourish ourselves and they showed up at my new place some time around 5:00-5:30pm, I really can't remember. Due to construction going on in the house most of the items were unloaded into the garage. They finished about 8:30pm. I really like Bryce who set up the appointment. He was very professional and checked-in several times to make sure everything was going ok. I really like the guys they sent to move me as well. They were professional and personable. What I didn't like or what threw me off a little was that I was told that all furniture would be wrapped in plastic to protect it. But my bed mattress and box springs were not and I feel like my bed mattress got a little dirty unnecessarily. As well, I have a piece of wooden furniture that ended up with a couple scratches on it. All and all, I am very happy with the move and the service they provided. I would definitely use them again and recommend them. They certainly beat Two Men and a Truck that used for my previous move.

CK Carriers was great to work with. We moved twice in the space of one month and they were our second experience. Their per hour rate is slightly higher, but I'm certain we were done faster because of their expertise. The team was professional and careful, wrapping all the furniture. We went slightly over our estimated time, but they still billed us for the guaranteed estimate which I think is pretty classy. They are a small operation but because they only do one move a day, you know they'll be there when they say they will.

The experience was excellent. They moved very quickly. They were very professional and didn't meander around wasting time. He did an in-home estimate and looked at my furniture and belongings. He explained how many boxes I would need. He explained how he would break down my furniture and how he would transport it. He gave me a guaranteed estimate that it would not go over that price no matter how long it took. It didn't take as long so it didn't cost me that much. He came the next day and brought me boxes so I didn't have to go out and purchase boxes. They showed up on time and didn't damage anything. They were polite and professional. They worked fast and I definitely got my money's worth. They were good movers.
