Motivated Movers

The company was prompt and friendly. Overall the movers did a good job and safely secured my furniture in shrink-wrap. They ran into trouble with my bed frame because the drawers couldn't be removed. This took them at least an extra 25 minutes to figure out a solution on how to move it. I appreciate that they tried to find a safe solution, but I wish they could have had the experience to know what to do in much less time. Even with this snag I was generally happy with my experience with them until they totaled up the time. Because it took longer than I anticipated, I had to put part of the balance on my credit card (which they charge a 3% fee) as opposed to paying it all with cash. They added 15 more minutes of time to my move to call in the credit card to a manager. So I not only got charged 3% for having to use my credit card, but I also got charged an additional $32.50 for waiting for them to call my credit card in. I left 3 messages for Jacob to call me back about this and he has not returned my calls. Update: Jacob did finally call me back and refunded me the $32.50 for the quarter hour I was charged to run the credit card.

They did not honor the price I paid and charged me a different hourly rate and said that they would deduct what I paid from the final bill which came to be a lot more expensive than other companies where quoting for almost the same amount of time. The scheduling was a little bit of a hassle but the everything worked out. The movers where on time and worked quickly.

The 3 gentleman that showed up were polite and in (very good) shape. I could tell that these men were vets.. It was obvious to me why my contractor chose them... They are on point!

very pleasant, worked hard, fast and efficiently, were careful with furniture and walls. Did a very good job and felt comfortable in their presence.

After speaking with MM we decided to use three mover with the company. The three that arrived were healthy (unlike our previous encounter with College Hunks) and mostly friendly. The only personality issue we had was the one charge took some time to warm up. However, the other two mover more than made up for that. Pros - They take care of your stuff. They make sure it is wrapped and they haul it properly. Once on the truck, they pack it so it does not get damaged. You heard me right, they take care of your stuff. I will say they are by far the best moving company we have ever used. Con - This really isn't a con but they do take their time but that is a good thing IMO. Because they take their time wrapping and properly packing, nothing was damaged. I would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. Give the owner a chance to contact you. This is a local business and I don't think office work is their strong point but they are excellent movers.

They arrived on time and took and few moments to access what would be moved and then went straight to work. Jay, AJ and Brian were great.

Service from Motivated Movers is outstanding. My appointment was scheduled for 1-3PM, and Jacob and Douglas arrived at 1:15PM. They did a quick walk through, laying out their strategy for the move and noting item condition. They propped a couple doors open, and proceeded to enter Beast Mode. They moved quickly while taking good care of my belongings and didn't slow their pace until it was done. Jacob and Douglas dismantled furniture items correctly, and packaged bolts, screws, etc to keep them from getting lost. These guys are professionals. The name Motivated Movers really fits this company. I've never used movers with such expertise and drive to complete the job. Their dedication to getting my move done saved me money, and I'll recommend them to everyone I know.

The move went better than I could of ever imagined! We have all heard the horror story's about moving day and are always anxious about such a stressful day. They called to let me know when they would be arriving and I appreciated that. Once they arrived, I was impressed, three clean cut, well spoken gentleman greeted me with tools in hand and got straight to work! First impressions say a lot and these guys were true professionals. I even asked what I needed to do and they said " just sit down and relax, were here for you" ! What really got me was they run! They literally ran when they were empty handed! The men wasted no time and came in just under the estimate!From the phone call to the final walk through with the movers I could not of asked for a more positive experience.

Friendly, professional demeanor, worked efficiently but did not use packing blankets we provided to protect furniture. Consequently, many items were abused during the long journey.

It was an awesome experience. There were three guys who worked non-stop. They moved our things out of the condo within an hour and a half. We waited an hour in traffic, but one we got there, they were done unloading within two hours. They only charged per quarter hour instead of an hour, which was helpful.

Ben and his team at Motivated Movers are absolutely fantastic! Ben consistently returns emails and phone calls within a few minutes. We must have rescheduled 4 times and they accommodated us each time. When the move finally happened, the guys were communicative, prompt, professional, and fast. I don't know that I'll ever use another moving company in the Nashville area again!

We've moved a lot in our lives and have had only two really good moves. Motivated Movers was one of those two. You know how stressful it is to move: there's a million details to take care of, your life is upended for weeks, the packing, the mess, etc. etc. And then you have to hire strangers to come take all your possessions from one place to another and it's a bit of a crapshoot---will they be careful and treat your stuff like it's their stuff, will they treat your house with respect or just bang into walls and scratch floors? Within the first ten minutes of our Motivated crew getting started, I was able to relax. These guys were wonderful! They called to let me know they were on their way and arrived right when they said they would. Jacob, Sean, John, and Luke were our crew and to a man, they were all great. They were cheerful all day long even though some of them had worked very late the previous day. Not a single complaint from any of them about anything even though we moved to a house with three levels. Two flights of stairs and not even a sigh or eyeroll out of any of them. They treated our belongings with care, covered our new floors to keep them safe, and didn't bang into a single wall or door frame. We have a lot of heavy furniture, a lot of all wood heirloom pieces, but after the first piece went out the door, I wasn't worried about anything being damaged in their hands. They're careful and know what they're doing. None of these guys are day hires; they're pros and it shows. Our new driveway is curvy and a little skinny but they managed to get two 26 foot trucks backed down without damaging the landscaping, another example of their care and professionalism. Amazingly, they ran from the house to the truck when they were empty-handed. Ran! Even at the end of the unload, they were still running! I was tired just watching them! Haha! They were funny and worked really well together as a team. At the end of the day they made sure everything was where we wanted it to be before calling it done. From the initial phone call to the end of move day, it was as good an experience as moving can be. They made a very stressful day much much easier on us. I just can't say enough good things about these guys. Cheerful, professional, fun and funny, and the price was right about what we expected. (Jacob did our estimate and had given us a "guaranteed not to exceed" price and he was within an hour on the final time.) If we move again, we will definitely hire this company.

Excellent Punctual and explained all cost and details immediately upon arrival. Listened to our request and offered suggestions to help make the move go quickly. Ben and Dell (or Dale) were exactly the "muscle" we requested. They were very professional, polite, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, hard working and a treat to work with. Can't relay enough positives and would request and use them again without hesitation.

They were professional in written correspondence, professional on the site, and prompt. They were also safety conscious and hard working. We would recommend them to anyone else who needs a moving service. The only recommendation we would give is for them to provide door and flooring protection. None of our floors or doorways were damaged with their services; however, the extra protection never hurts.

Motivated Movers showed up exactly when scheduled and were very efficient and professional. The biggest concern was that there were many steep steps to navigate and a very large sofa and heavy entertainment center to move. All workers were friendly polite and worked extremely fast and carefully and all items moved arrived in excellent condition. We would highly recommend this company!

We had a very large, bulky, stuffed sofa that had to come out of a small apartment. The guys worked, re-assessed, worked again, re-assessed and got it out. Every time I lamented, they responded "It's okay, this is what we do"! They are hard working, polite, and trustworthy. There was a misscommunication with one of the details of the move. They took care of it immediately and made it right for me. I highly recommend this company!!

I chose Motivated Movers based upon reviews in Angie's List and I was not disappointed. The move team was amazing...polite, eager to please, very hard working w/o a single break. They were quick to size-up what needed to be done & how best to handle the tasks. They were extremely careful with all of my furniture...not a scratch or damage to anything. One note worthy observation: the team was also very aware of the time spent moving me. I offered to treat them to lunch from Hardee's because of their hard work. The team leader thought about it and then told me they were so close to completion that they would like to finish up so my cost would be less. I found this company to be above & beyond in every respect. I have already lined up two other moving jobs for them! THANK YOU ANGIE's LIST!

Anthony and Aaron called me at 8:00 to inform me they were leaving their office and heading my way. They arrived promptly at 8:30 and immediately got to work. These guys were very polite and professional. I had them take half my stuff to a house and the other half went to a storage unit. They worked hard to make sure everything was to my liking. I would definitely recommend this company again, they did a great job!

The team showed up on time and was very professional. They worked together to quickly move the furniture in an organized fashion. No furniture was damaged and the cost was as estimated. They also provided a discount for Craigslist members.

They were pretty good. They were good men and it was a bunch of guys. It was a little complicated but it was an okay job. They were motivated but maybe a little bit careful with anything they were attached to. They were a good price.

We cannot say enough good about this company. From the day we called to reserve them throughout the move, our expectations were exceeded. We talked with Ben Black in their office to set a date and time for our move, he asked a number of helpful questions and answered any that we had. When bad weather threatened, they even offered to change the date at our convenience. In the end, we did move on the chosen date and were so impressed with the three man who did he heavy lifting. They arrived on time, politely introduced themselves and began work quickly all with big smiles and "can do" attitudes. They hustled from beginning to end and yet they took good care of our things. When a small problem did occur, they came to us and pointed out the issue and made sure were ok with the small damage. We appreciated their honesty and did not make a claim. We were amazed at how focused they were on doing a good job, in a timely manner, and making sure we were satisfied. Really, we could not have been happier. They are professional, personable and customer focused. We recommend them without reservation. Great guys.

We couldn't get over how well the move went. My mother had been in the same house for 57 years and we had been dreading this move most of our adult lives. It was just my sister, my husband and me getting ready for the move and we thought that the movers would find this to be very difficult. They got there exactly when they said they would and when they saw what was in store for them they didn't flinch. They were about to have to move lots of big old dusty furniture out of a house and basement full of lots of clutter and trash. They were smiling, friendly and fast. We kept apologizing for the mess and they just didn't seem to mind it....which made us feel much better about everything. They were getting paid by the hour and yet they were literally running up and down the ramp getting everything loaded and unloaded in a matter of a few hours. The experience that we had been dreading all this time turned out to be more than pleasant experience and we were left feeling good about the whole thing. We would definitely recommend these guys! They did a great job. No difficulties. We had a little damage and they are in the process of getting that repaired, they were pleasant and I would recommend them to anybody.

The guys arrived in the time frame that was given to me. They were extremely polite and professional. They moved an extremely large entertainment center to my garage. Other companies i called were going to charge me a three hour minimum regardless of how long it took. I was quoted a price for time it would take , travel time and no more. They did not tack on any additional charges after arriving. They were very careful with the furniture and there were no scratches on furniture or any damage to walls while moving it downstairs. I plan to use them in the future when we sell our home. I was extremely pleased with the job they performed.

The movers were timely and had a great attitude. The team did a good job moving except for damaging some pieces. I understand that damage can occur but it is unacceptable to try and hide the damage. We had a craft cabinet that was in excellent condition. Today I was ready to move it from the garage to the craft room. I was shocked to see the top damaged and the door hinges bent to the point the right door will not work. The damage was very visible and was hidden from me by the movers. After seeing how it was placed in the garage, it was obvious they saw the damage and was trying to hide it.
