Morris Floor Service

I scheduled an appointment with Morris Floor Service to obtain a price quote for the installation of hardwood floors. Bob Morris came to our house and filled out a form and asked me to sign. I told him that we were only wanting a quote and asked if this paper he handed me was a quote before I signed. He stated that he had all of his customers sign his paperwork which led me to believe that it was indeed a quote. He left and said nothing about delivering the flooring the next week. We had received two other quotes and decided to go with a different company that would handle both the installation as well as the sanding and finishing. Morris Floor Service only does installation. On the following Monday, I received a call from Bob Morris that he had my flooring on his truck and was ready to deliver it. I stated that we were only getting a price quote from him and he responded that no I had in fact signed a contract with him. He threatened to have his attorney get involved but if I paid $200 for the delivery and restocking that would take care of the matter. I know what a contract is and requires, but I was trusting this person when I asked him if it was only a price quote that he would be honest with me. Instead he tells me over the phone that I should never sign a contract that I don't plan to honor. My wife states that I told him four times that day that we were only wanting a price quote when he came to our house. I mailed him a check for $200 but I feel that he was misleading and will not do business with him again. Beware of any paperwork with Morris Floor Service.
