I have given this business numerous installs over the last few years on various projects including a $4,725.00 job last month. Many have had their issues but this job was the worst. It began with the tear out two days ago, when their employees failed to turn off the water faucet stops under the bathroom sink in preparation for the vanity counter top removal two days ago. Problem is, even though I was standing there watching the two employees dismantle everything, I could see that the one employee was not turning his wrench the right way. I motioned to the other senior employee who took including the responsibility of turning off the water valve. The water was turned off at the curb also. After the removal, the employees left and I turned the water back on few minutes later but the water valves on two of the four had not been turned off, and the upstairs bathroom flooded, including water coming thru the downstairs ceiling. Their employee returned to the property approx. ten minutes later, retrieve a tool he had left, so was able to then be shown the results of his expensive mistake. A large 8'X4' mirror became cracked during this process as well as we discovered that their removal resulted in the medicine cabinet had been ruined by these two employees; shattering the edges but never telling anybody. When he returned to get his tool, water was everywhere as we were using as shop vac to suck it all up, so while he was present, I showed him the water and damages including to the ceiling below. Now, their installers show up today, and I discover that the shop fabricators were trying to hide their mistakes of chipping the new counter tops by masking and filling with glue. I informed the installers to load it back up and take it with them as this is not acceptable. I went to the shop to complain to management and informed them of the inferior workmanship. I alledge that the two managers both informed me very angrily that this is normal to cover their chip mistakes with glue and that this is also a worldwide practise. I informed them that nobody told me this is a worldwide practise nor that this possibility exists and that if it did occur, that this would be their solution to fixing any chips (when I initially agreed to make this purchase). The main manager also tried to also justify todays quality mistakes by stating: "this is a new product for us". I have had past issues but with this weeks unacceptable service, workmanship, customer service, etc. and refusal to assist me with a different more durable product, I left and I will NEVER return to this company again nor recommend.
Description of Work: More like what the provider did not do. They did not provide a quality product. Showed up with broken back splash. Also, counter top had two chips in it, one larger than the size of thumb. Other chip on the beveled edge above where the sink would go. They covered it with glue expecting me not to find it. When the glue easily flaked off, I refused the product and had it taken back to their shop. Taypa, the manager, became loud and irate at me. Said this is normal in the industry to cover chips with glue. I disagreed and reminded him not to raise his voice at me. He has done this before and I chose to ignor it, thus dealing with office manager Peter instead of Taypa. However, Peter too decided that I should accept the lousy workmanship, but I refused both their product and services and now I refuse to do business with Modern Granite and suggest others do likewise to avoid inferior services and products.

We purchased a marble countertop (Remnent) from them. They allowed us to check out the sample in the warehouse and located a cutoff that we could buy. Their team came out and templated and installed in about a week. We did have an issue during install as the front edge was cut with a standard 1.5" overhang and we had requested 3/4" Luckily they were able to modify onsite and the finished product looked great. Holly and Laura provided excellent customer service!

double sinks were cut at the extreme ends of the counter top. Since the vanity is not free standing but has walls at either end, this means one is literally touching the wall when standing directly in front of the sink. Company rep came out to look at the vanity but had no interest in replacing it. Even 'tho the material, finishing and installation were fine, bottom line is that functionally this countertop stinks.
