I tried to light the gas furnace in a rental property and followed all instructions, but could not determine the problem and didn't have all day. The tech came out and performed the inspection and found there was a bird's nest in the exhaust blower pipe, which choked off flow and the safety pressure switch (checking exhaust air flow) tripped out and would not allow the furnace to light. After cleaning the pipe he had the unit running fine and followed up with me on the details since I was off site already. Fast and professional... reasonable price. I would use the again.

The woman who answered the phone was initially very helpful. After indicating they were closed on Thursday/Friday for Thanksgiving, she checked with a technician who agreed to come out at 8am on Friday. So we scheduled the appt. I was ill on Thanksgiving night, but schlepped over to the townhouse and arrived a few minutes before 8am. At 8:15 I called the company and left a message. At 8:25 I called again and selected "emergency service" expecting to reach a live person, but had to leave a message for someone named Scott. I left at 8:35am, and never received a phone call with any sort of explanation. I called again this morning before posting this to give them another chance to make good on the appointment or perhaps explain themselves, but this time, no one answered the phone at all. It kept ringing. I understand it was a holiday weekend and all, but I would have preferred to have delayed scheduling the appointment rather than getting up early on a vacation day and getting stood up!

Tech arrived, looked at all the systems and provided detailed recommendations and results.

Have used them in the past and will use them again in the future.

Extremely conscientious and hard working. I use Frick because of Kirk and will request him every time. Would definitely use them again.

I have known them for a long time and have been using them for at least 10 years. They will let you know if they can make it in time for you. They have about 8 or 10 technicians and the owner is Michael. They usually always answer their phone. They offer a 24 hour emergency number and the on call person will call you back after hours. They are very honest people, professional, and they offer fair pricing. I have recommended their services to several people.

I have been using them for five years since they first installed the units. The work was great! They are accommodating and through. I have thought their pricing are always competitive. They are a great company and I have never had any problems with them.

We have been using them since they installed the unit. The units have been nothing but trouble. Luckily, I have gotten a 10 year warranty to cover the parts and repairs needed. While the equipment has been terrible, their service has been good. Michelle, the owner’s daughter, has always been very helpful. When I have had a problem, I have been able to call her directly at home and she sends someone right out. They have been very responsive to the whole thing. They have even sent maintenance people out here during the night and on the weekends. I have no complaints about the company themselves.

I had them out to service my air conditioner and advised them that I was having a water issue with the unit. The day they were scheduled to come out they were late and I had to contact Angie's List to follow up and get them to my home. After the evaluation of the unit they advised me that everything was running smoothly and there were no issues. A month and a half later the unit was still having the same problem and we were told that there in fact was an issue and that it was going to cost 800 dollars to resolve the problem. We were not happy that MJ Frick Co did not have the skill to see this on the first visit, especially after we had paid for a service through them.

He tailored the service after he noticed the house was newer and was efficient.

It was great! They inspected the unit, the thermostat and the intake vent. They also cleaned out the central air unit and verified that all parts were working well and would be expected to work well for the next season. I didn't feel pressured at all, which I have experienced with prior A/C companies.

Replaced a solenoid in the electronics of the AC unit of an air conditioning unit- bought the $55 inspection and paid an additional 75 for the new install- these are 18-25 at the store- so while I didn't want to pay the $250 fee-I was fine with the lower cost. Fricke is expensive- but they are very good and I would call them for any HVAC issues that I encounter.

The technician was right on time. The purchase detailed everything he would be doing. He was at the house less than 30 minutes which seemed a little brief. I was moving from home and it was a condition for the sale, so I satisfied what was required, but not sure how thorough it was.

It was great! The guy they sent out was very helpful. There were a few items to be corrected, which were done quickly and for what I think is a very reasonable price.

The job was larger than anyone imagined. McFrick stayed right with it. I am an absentee landlord living in NC. The staff stayed in touch with me throughout the day to alert me as to what they found and what it would cost me. FABULOUS Experience. Reasonable price.

The technician was courteous and professional. He offered good advice about servicing my unit to maintain its effectiveness, and did not attempt to sell me more than I needed. I am pleased with the improved performance of my air this summer and the lower electric bills that stopping the intake leakage provided me. Will use again when needed, and I recommend them.

FYI, I rarely do a review on any company unless I think it is necessary. I have to mention that I have a MJ Frick maintenance contract to check / clean the HVAC units spring and fall. Our AC quits in the middle of the night.....its hot now. Time to call and have the unit fixed. So I wanted to check and make sure MJ Fricks prices were reasonable, so I brought in 2 other HVAC companies that were recommended to me to diagnose and give quotes to repair the unit. Both companies quoted prices in the $700 to $900 range and recommended that the units be replaced, because when they fixed one problem they would probably find more issues with the unit because of the age of the unit. The MJ Frick repairman came in looked over the unit, found the board was bad. Offered to go and get another board and come back (it was 4:30pm) I told him that was ok and come back tomorrow. He did and exactly on time. He gave me a price of around $450 to replace and install the new board. I ask him if the unit should be replaced and he said that we may have a couple of years left in the 18 yr old unit. I ask for quote to replace the complete unit and he quoted me on the spot, $2,000 less than the best quote of the others. He came back and replaced the board and the AC has worked perfectly for the last month. And because we had a maintenance agreement, MJ Frick took off $100. That was a nice surprise. They do what they say they are going to do. Great Service!

Very impressed with efficiency and they worked hard to research possible warranty coverage. They arrived before scheduled time - very impressive! Professional and courteous. I will call them again should the need arise.

I wasn't very happy on that. He charged me $118 for a capacitor to help jump start the fan motor and I looked online it was like $18 piece. I was already paying 50 bucks for him to come out on that deal. The quality was good and he was out there pretty quick.

It was easy to get in touch with MJ Frick Co. and I was able to get on their schedule right away. They were on time, seemed thorough, and professional. I asked if they do twice-yearly tune-up contracts, which they do. They have several service contract options (HVAC, plumbing, others?) and I was able to sign up on the spot. I was very satisfied with the service visit and happy to know I can rely on them down the road.

We were having trouble with temp. control. Repairman confirmed unit was working properly and help identify problem with exposed wiring that was causing the inconsistent temps.
