We hired this company several years ago to renovate the inside of a very small house that we had recently purchased. We were given a quote for 55k which we were fine with except we wanted to purchase our own windows which were included in the original quote for about 10k. We were very busy and our fault for not paying closer attention, but when we got the revised copy of the quote the price was still 55k (not 45K- we already had the windows....) at the end of the job 6 months later( was only supposed to take 2-3 months~ this is an 800 SF home) and after the dust settled, while we were filing papers I came across both the original unsigned and the revised signed contract. This builder had indeed taken out the windows on the line item list but had upcharged everything else on the list so that the final price was still 55k. Again it was our fault for being too busy to notice but when you trust someone it seems silly to scrutinize their work....we feel like we were taken advantage of by Kyle and would never recommend him to anyone. In addition to the above, we had purchased some nice quality trim and had enough, perfect, intact pieces left over for a small room; this overage was placed in a neat pile in a locked basement and suddenly disappeared; I asked Kyle about it and he said that he thought it was trash and threw it in the dumpster.......which was right outside of the basement -- and had NO trim pieces in it at all. I really don't like dishonesty, and he should have left the trim that I had already paid for, in the basement.
