On the morning of Thursday, December 17, 2020 the relief valve on my water heater started to drip while I was out of town This set off the leak detector. My Mother, an elderly female, called Michaels plumbing. Technician John arrived at house at 5:20 PM. 5:28 PM John told my mother that he has to "put em in where the water comes into the house". Audio on ring doorbell camera is excellent. 5:47 PM last time tech seen on camera. First he claimed it was a defect with the water heater. Then he claimed the incoming water pressure was too high, 180 psi and it should have been 80. He gave her a quote of $550 to install a "Whole House Pressure Reducing Valve" and said they would be back the next day to install. Friday, December 18, 2020 at aproximately 5:30 PM they called to say they would not be there that day and would come out on Saturday. Saturday, December 19, 2020 Technician arrived at 10:45 AM. 10:51 AM looking for water meter. 10:56 AM looking for water meter. 10:58 AM found water meter. 11:00 water turned off at meter. Made comment that he would up under the house to get stuff done. 11:08 went into house with pressure valve. 11:11 back door opened as John took valve toward crawl space. 11:24 back looking through his van. 11:31 back inside house. Made comment about partial repipe. I'm told at this point he made the comment that he couldn't find the incomming water pipe. 11:33 he is seen taking the pressure reducing valve back into house as he is going to install just on the cold water line at the water heater. 11:40 turning water back on at meter. 12:12 van was gone from driveway and camera view at this time. Thursday, December 24, 2020 I arrived back home. It is now virtually impossible to adjust the water temp at any of the single lever fawcets in the house because of the pressure difference between the hot water and cold water. Monday, December 29, 2020 at 9:14 am called Michaels plumbing and asked to speak with a service Manager. After some hesistation, the person that answered the phone said he was a service manager. I had to ask for his name and he said Josh. He was unable to answer any questions about the job or why the whole house pressure reducing valve was installed on just the hot water and not the whole house. He said he did not have any pictures of the job. He told me he would have to get the tech to call me back becuase he is just customer service. This means he lied to me earlier and said he was a service manager. He claimed the tech would call me back later today because he was on another job. Tuesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:07 pm. No call back and no one answers their phone at their office. It's sad that they ripped off an elderly female and didn't even provide the service that is listed on their invoice.

I’ve hired Michael’s Plumbing for a few jobs and I’ve been satisfied, but based on my most recent experience, I will not patron them in the future! On 6/5/2020, I had an appointment to replace a shower valve. The guys that came out cut a hole in my wall and afterwards determined they couldn’t access what they needed to from that opening. I was told they’d only be able to finish repairs by going through my attached neighbor’s unit. After lots of effort to coordinate a time that worked for my neighbor, Michael’s came back out to finish the job on 7/7/2020. The plumber that came out this time took a further look and determined he could complete the job without entering my neighbor’s unit, but would have to cut around the shower. When he finished the job, I asked if someone would be in contact to fix both holes in my walls. He said he’d have another guy on the team reach out, but I never heard back! I hired a handyman on 7/26 to fix the holes in my walls. I called Michael’s on 8/11 to ask about reimbursement for the wall repairs and was told to send an email and that someone would get back to me. I followed up again a couple times, but still no resolve. I followed up again on 8/24 and was told to send another email. Another week has no passed and I’ve still got no response! This is the most unprofessional experience I’ve had with a company in a while. To erroneously cut into a wall, get a neighbor involved, find out the neighbor never needed to be involved, and then not fix the holes that were created is unacceptable and extremely disappointing. I don’t feel valued as a customer and Michael’s doesn’t seem concerned with retaining good customers! Michael’s, do better!

Went very well. Punctual and professional service. They had to make a trip for the appropriate part, but completed the work. There are some exposed bolts that are not customarily seen at the base of the toilet. The caps could not be put on them.

In January, Michael's Plumbing was hired to fix a leak behind the wall of the shower. A new fixture was installed by them. The first guy to install it -- Ryan -- put it in wrong, so it still leaked. Then Josh came in to fix Ryan's inability to put it in right the first time. Three months later and a week or two, the leak is still there and worse than ever! Now the floors are getting soft in the half bath, adjacent to the full main bath and in the floors of the master bedroom. They got me to sign up with them initially stating their work was guaranteed and I had a 2 year warranty on their work. They came in today -- Ryan did -- to see what the problem was and are blaming it on the new fixture being bad. So this they don't warrant. Of course NOT! They would blame it on a new fixture! So, needless to say, they are washing their hands from their responsibility or not making good on their warranty by blaming it on that which wasn't warranted! They're not punctual, not professional and have to constantly consult with each other because they don't know what they're doing... After this Ryan left, the one who seems in charge showed up. His name is Josh. He came in and said one of the pieces of the fixture was bad -- a new piece. So, because this piece couldn't just be bought a Lowes or anywhere else, I had to order and entire new fixture -- which took time for it to arrive. I had a 30 day return policy on it. It took about 2 weeks to get to my house. I then called Josh. He was out of town -- supposedly until the following week. The following week came and I called him to come in and finish fixing the leak. He wouldn't respond to text or calls. Then he texted back. He was still out of town due to a not expected situation. Today is June 12th 2018. It's over 30 days that I bought the fixture and now can't return. He won't answer his text messages or call back after me trying to get a hold of him. To top it all off, the company -- Michael'r Plumbing Services in Thompson Lane, Nashville, is not a legitimate business. It has not filed an annual report and is considered inactive and DISSOLVED since 02/13/2013, according to the State of Tennessee information on businesses and corporations. So, these guys are running around pretending to be Michael's Plumbing Service, taking payments and not doing the job they're supposed to or honoring warranties because they don't have to. Who are you going to sue???? I EXPLICITLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! Save yourself the headache, aggravation and money! They don't stand by their word, are not legitimate and they don't know what they're doing! I will be calling my attorney next!

I hired Michael's plumbing to fix a leak in the second floor bathroom of a condo that leaked through to the ceiling on the first floor. We don't live in this condo so I have to travel over an hour to get there and then just sit there to wait for them. They give a two hour window. The first time they came out they didn't call me until thirty minutes after the 2 hour window, then another 30 minutes and they came. They stayed 30 minutes so I was out two hours travel time, three hours of wait time, a half hour while they were there. They were polite enough. After they left I patched the ceiling (another hour of my time) . However, the next time we came to the condo, it was still leaking and the ceiling was ruined again. So I called them again to come out. This time they said they would be there between 9 and 11, but didn't come until 2. So, another two hours drive time five hours of waiting time, a half hour for them to "fix" it and once again, I patched the ceiling (another hour of my time) and it still leaks, ruining the ceiling once again. I called them again last Friday and they said they couldn't come until Tuesday between noon and two. It's now 2:15 and I haven't heard from them despite having called twice and left messages. So, another two hours drive time plus two plus hours of waiting time and I am no closer to getting the leak fixed than before I called them the first time. I am cutting my losses and going to hire another plumber. Michael's obviously has enough business that they don't feel that they need to fix things the first (or even second) time, and they obviously have no respect whatsoever for my time. I will just have to pay someone else to repair their work. Very disappointing. Update, they finally called me on my way home. Said my appointment was Wednesday, not Tuesday. Fine, except my wife was listening to me when I called them and said Tuesday. I've already paid them to do the work, but I now have close to twenty hours of time that I took away from my work and other things to be there for agreed upon appointments that they disregarded. They were pretty cavalier about it as well. I have no confidence whatsoever that they can fix it, or that they will magically start being respectful of my time. I'll take my chances and pay someone else to fix their work. I simply don't have time to work with Michael's.
