After contacting other landscaping, hard scraping and general contractor companies for a patio refurb project, only to be ignored or stood up for appointments, I reached out to Masonry Mata. Agustin, the company owner, responded quickly and made an appointment to meet with my wife and I. He started the work soon after our initial meeting. Masonry Mata gets high marks in all areas, such as meeting commitments to start the work, finish within the estimated timeframe, performed quality work, and paid attention to detail. He and his small crew (ours was a fairly small job) thoroughly cleaned up the job site. Pricing was competitive with other bids we received. However, I believe he provided better value by the conscientious way he and team worked. We have already mentioned three additional projects to Agustin because he think we have (finally) found a skilled professional in the area.

Showed up on time and finished when said he would

Got a quote for tuckpointing on a Thursday and they were out first thing on Monday to do the work. They ground out the old, damaged mortar and replaced all the bad spots and a few holes in a single day. Great communication and they made a point to clean up afterward. Would recommend!

Over priced and poor quality.

Excellent work and when I noticed a few small problems they responded quickly and made sure I was completely satisfied with the completed project. I would not hesitate to hire them again

We hired this company thru Home Advisor, the owner came and provided an estimate which we agreed. He started the work the day he planned, only problem is that he showed up and tried to pull a heavy truck on one side of the house, without even knocking on my door, so I have no idea who is ripping out my yard. When I showed up his first words were, what do you want me to do? Is wet! I said I agree, but why don t you knocked on my door before creating all this mess? He really doesn't care and don t respect customer s property. At this point I should fire him, but my wife wanted me to give him another chance, bad idea... at this point he is having a bad day and decided to attempt his worse performance ever. Started pouring concrete on top of dirt, barely compacted by a 20 pounds hand tool. Then he took off and let the concrete to dry, came back and poured a little more, when I asked why he was doing this , he said you do it, if you can do it better absolutely lack of respect for customers. At this point I decided to swallow my pride and go inside the house and pray for the best. Around mid day the job is about 25% done and he come to ask for money because he ran out of materials. Red flag, but my wife once again asked me to move forward. Long day after he hasn t finish the job , he took off with any possible attitude I can imagine, at a time I was confused on who was paying for the job. He took my money and run, nowhere to be found. After days looking for him, I called other companies, all of them agreed that I need to demolish his crappy work before that can do the concrete slab properly. Otherwise that won t take responsibility. Every estimate I have received is lower than Mr.Mata estimate but, the price will spike because of the demolition involved. Think twice before contacting this company

Excellent workmanship and deep knowledge of materials and design. They replaced faulty concrete steps with brick and tied it into my existing porch in a way that is beautiful and super sturdy. I could not be more satisfied with their work. Plus good value for money spent. Highly recommended!

We were hit by the recent tornadoes which took most of the west side of our house off. Despite high demand for masons these days Augusto was able to swing by and offer a bid the next day after initial contact and start work within two days. Their workmanship is excellent, priced competitively and they left the place very clean, even taking more debris with them than just from the crushed masonry.

He did a great job, had to work in muddy conditions but left it looking very clean.
