Shannon set the estimate and worked really hard for my business. He was very prompt and professional. Wanted to make the sale and was willing to work to make it happen. Xavier and Alex were the movers and were very hard workers and very careful with our items. They moved a commercial fridge out of my wife's old house with half an inch to clear on each side of the wall, no scratches...incredible! I do wish they would have shrink wrapped my furniture for precautionary measure. Nothing broke, great price, great customer service, great experience. Def. recommend.

This was not our first experience with a moving company. We had moved cross-country during a work re-location and used a larger company. During the quote process the company worked with us to get an accurate quote and manage our expectations. This was a positive experience. On the day of the move, the movers were late (2 movers and 1 truck were sent) - they were delayed on a morning move. The movers did contact us and let us know they would be arriving late; assuring us that there would be no impact on the move. The move did not go well, we had damage to the house (s heet rock issues), several pieces of furniture were scratched, our king size bed headboard was dropped creating an 8inch gouge/splinter, the footboard was chipped, our leather couch was damaged (several places the leather was rubbed off and several puncture holes were found during unload), our dining room table had a gouge and our washer was dropped (denting it from the inside out where the drum hit the skin and there was denting where it hit the sidewalk and the glass door was chipped/cracked). We brought this to the attention of the lead mover; he did acknowledge the damage and was already in touch with the main office. After the truck was nearly loaded we were told their was not enough room on the truck, in addition it had started raining which caused a halt. The next morning they unloaded the truck but could not finish our move due to another scheduled job. The lead mover offered to come back and help once his day was completed; due to time restraints on our part we did not take him up on the offer. There were no options given to us by the company at that time to complete the move (during our talks with management after the move they told us this was not their policy and an option should have been provided). To complete the move we rented a truck and hired help in addition to enlisting some family members to complete the move. We had a 10x30, and 2 10x10's - during the offload they filled our 10x30 and we had to upgrade 1 10x10 to a 10x20 to handle the other items not moved. This was because the 10x30 was packed inefficiently. We contacted the Leaders office on Monday and were in contact with them several times over the next several weeks. All the personnel we dealt with were appalled by the results of our move. They reduced the cost to the $500; accounting for items not moved that were in the contract. They offered to send another crew out and repack our 10x30 which was filled during the offload. We took them up on the offer, the crew (which was a different crew) that met us for the re-pack was professional and also appalled that our move had been such a disaster. During the unpacking of the unit they let us inspect the furniture and in some cases pointed out potential damage. They re-packed the unit efficiently and quickly leaving us about 20% more space. We did not use them when moving from storage to our new home (see below for more detail). They did stand by their word; our bed was repaired - in this case there was no way to restore this anywhere close to its original condition - however the repair was done well, our couch was repaired - without knowing exactly where the damage occurred you could not see the damaged areas (including punctures), our dining room table was repaired where it had been gouged, they reimbursed us for work done on the house to repair sheet rock and spot paint, we got an estimate to repair the washer which was more than the original cost - they reimbursed us a depreciated value of the washer (based on an insurance schedule) and they took into consideration misc damage to other items. In summary, because of the repacking we seriously considered giving them another chance. Although, the moving experience had much to be desired the movers that repacked our storage, management and claims people we dealt with were all professional and seemed to care about making this right.
Description of Work: We contracted them to move our furniture, washer/dryer, and outdoor furniture & grill from our home to storage (approximately 5.8 miles). Leaders cost is per item, so each item to be moved was listed in the contract.

This is the third time I've used Leader's Moving, but the first time I've used them for an interstate move. They are prompt, thorough, and I absolutely love them. In this instance, they were also the lowest quote I received. Only one inexpensive item broke, and they immediately brought it to my attention and wanted to make it right. I love using these movers and plan to use them in the future.

These guys were wonderful. Professional, courteous, humorous and most of tolerant. Typically, we don't get a lot of snow or ice in Nashville, TN. I lived on a hill and we did all we could do to provide the movers a safe place to work. It was freezing, icy and snowy but you'd never know it with these awesome workers! My apologies I don't have the receipt so that I could recognize them by name. They were incredible!!

Movers showed up on time; they worked continuously and made sure that they were placing things where they all needed to go; there were no glitches, and we were very satisfied. A few scratches were found on the furniture but they were minor and inconsequential.

I have hesitated writing this review, as I try to look for the best in service providers, even if some aspects of the experience were not optimal. We found Leaders Moving and Storage on Angie's List, and the reviews were mostly positive. So, we had a company representative come out and give us an estimate for the cost of moving our household from Nashville to indianapolis. The actual packing took place on June 29th. It was a big job, and the crew that was sent out to do it was not able to finish in one day. So, the next day, the crew returned, finished packing, and loaded the trucks. Only two trucks were estimated to be needed for our job, but it turns out that they needed a third. Several of the crew members were very professional and worked hard, but several were clearly not experienced. The first day of packing lasted from around 9:00 in the morning to well after dark, and the second day was difficult, as three trucks were filled with our possessions. As the trucks were being loaded, we lost a desk due to breakage, our front door was gouged by a crew member trying to force a treadmill through the opening, oil stains were streaked on our white carpeting upstairs, and a glass shelf from my wife's curio cabinet was broken. To be fair, it was a big job, and these guys worked for over twelve hours trying to get the trucks loaded. I suspect that as people tire, they become less able to execute their jobs properly, and this was definitely the case here. August 1st arrived, and my wife and I had to leave to attend a closing up in Indianapolis, so our realtor stayed behind to supervise the last bit of packing. Our possessions arrived on July 2nd, and Leaders only sent the drivers of the three trucks to unload everything. That was three men to unload three trucks- a huge job. It turns out that not all of our household goods were packed, as several storage cabinets and boxes of personal items were left in the garage, and not sent to Indianapolis. We finally received these items after having to wait until the end of July before they were delivered. Upon unpacking our items, there were numerous dings, dents and scratches to many items, and, to Leader's credit, they employed a subcontractor, skilled in the art of furniture restoration, to make what repairs he could. An additional glass shelf was removed from my wife's curio cabinet by the repairman, to serve as a template for the creation of a replacement shelf for the one that was broken. While we were waiting for the replacement glass shelf to be made, we received a call from Leader's asking what we paid for the cabinet. The gist of the conversation was that they did not want to replace a shelf that might exceed the replacement cost of the cabinet. I sent pictures of the cabinet to the company representative, and heard nothing. Last week (August 13th), the furniture repairman who had taken our glass shelf as a template, pulled up in our driveway and dropped off the shelf he had taken. No new shelf had been made. He stated that he had not received authorization to make a new shelf, and did not want to keep the template shelf in the shop for fear of breakage. The cost of the shelf replacement was ~800.00, as it had some sort of groove on it-a very old piece of glass. I said that the glass did not have to be tempered, and we didn't even need a groove-just a piece of glass that would fit the cabinet. He left, giving us the name of a glass company that might be able to help. I contacted Leader's several times, so that we could discuss this and arrive at some agreement that would be suitable for both parties, but they have not responded to me. I take the time to go into this much detail because I think it is important to help people understand that, in my experience, this group overworks its employees, has inexperienced crew members moving precious cargo, resulting in careless damage, and is largely unresponsive once they have payment for the services rendered. I truly dislike giving such a report, but the facts are the facts. For the work they did, I am appreciative, but I feel we suffered too much damage, inconvenience and unresponsiveness to give this experience any rating that would encourage others to use this group, unless they change their policies quickly.

We absolutely do not want to leave you with the impression that we over-work our crew. In fact, we do not schedule any moves on Sunday to allow our associates time with their families. There is no doubt our crew members work some very long hours during the peak times of summer, that is the nature of our business. And, unfortunately, not all moves go as smoothly as planned. I wish we could always have only the most experienced crew members on the job, but we are not always that fortunate. Be assured, however, that when we do send out newer crew member on a job that we only send them with the most experiences crew leaders and trainers. I have looked into your claim process and will personally get involved to make sure everything is handled to your satisfaction. I am not sure what happened with our vendor, but it appears there was some miscommunication on what we thought he was doing with the glass. My understanding is that has been resolved and replacement is underway. Again, I truly apologize for the shortcomings on your move, but appreciate the opportunity you have provided us to make things right. This company has a specialized service. Shannon Pepper is the location operation manager and he's a really nice guy. We had called and left a voicemail. We received a call back the same day and he came out and looked at and surveyed everything. From the very beginning they were professional, sweet, acommodating, and were not over priced. This has been a very refreshing experience.

Everything went smoothly! We scheduled an afternoon appointment and the crew was over an hour late. Note that the price included the Angie's list discount. I found it a little silly that I needed to have a specific list of what would be moved when making the appointment, and if it weren't for the Angie's list discount it would have been a little pricey for what was done (185 minutes from start to finish), but in general, I am happy I chose Leaders and I would use them again for similar moves. We were given a 1 hour window of when they would show up, and they were there within seconds of the start of the window. They were professional, careful and accommodating. All in all, a smooth process and I'm glad my wife convinced me to get some help instead of trying to deal with the heavy and awkward items on our own.

I agree our pricing model is different than most moving companies out there and I apologize that we did not explain it better for you. We have developed our own pricing method that rather than just charging by the hour like the majority of companies, we charge by the piece. We feel this method benefits the consumer the best. Unlike companies that charge by the hour, our price is fixed from start to finish. The only way the price will change will be if the consumer adds or deletes items from the original list, then we adjust the price up or down accordingly. We know from experience that most customers will move a lot of smaller items on their own prior to the move, we simply adjust the pricing down and you are only charged for what we move. If the move takes one hour or three hours...the price will be the same. Overall, the feedback we receive from customers who have moved before and used other companies is overwhelmingly positive and in the end, more cost effective. I will certainly make sure to share your input and make sure we do a better job of explaining this process to future customers. The work happened over two days, which was planned in advance with Leaders local office. A Leaders employee came out to our house to estimate the work needed to pack the house on one day and move us on the next day. The team showed up on the selected date of packing, but were one person short of the full team they originally said they would send to pack the house in one day. The two guys who showed up were very professional, hard working, and took great care to pack everything with great care. The only challenge was there was not enough of them to pack the entire house on that Friday as initially planned. They also got a late start an hour past the target time frame of 8-9AM. Plus this team was scheduled for another job at 4:30PM, and had to leave and planned to finish the packing the next day on move day. The next day was moving day, and a slightly larger team showed up on time to finish packing the house. They again were professional, courteous, hard working and took great care in packing the rest of the house. I think the original intention was to load up the trucks in the morning and move in the afternoon, but because the focus had to be packing the rest of the house, the timeline got pushed back a bit. The team finished packing the house around lunch time and then started loading up the trucks. At that point a few more people showed up in moving trucks to help get the trucks loaded. I cannot stress how hardworking the crew was throughout the day. They worked very hard and took great care with our boxes and furniture. They finished loading up the trucks and left for the new house arriving around 6PM. The team again expertly unloaded the truck and placed furniture and boxes in the rooms we directed them too. They setup our beds and put back together tables and other furniture that was taken apart for the move. It was quicker for them to unload the trucks and get the furniture in the house than it was to pack the house and load the furniture. In the end, around 9PM these guys were all done and we are very happy with the work they did. Although it took longer to pack the house than I thought, I do highly recommend Leaders. Their team worked very hard and were highly professional. In all the move, only one thing broke and it was not Leaders fault , but something we dropped by accident. The Leader's office stayed in contact with use throughout the move letting us know what was going on and how they were getting more crew members over to help. We had a lot of stuff to move, and it was amazing that it all went so well. I believe the bumps in the road were very minor and overcome by the hard work of the crew and coordination of the Leader's local office. I highly recommend Leaders and will use them again if I have another move.

The move went well. All staff were extremely professional. There were some damages but I had purchased replacement value insurance and everything was covered. Tony Pace in Columbus handled my claim and although the process was somewhat complicated as insurance issues always are, Tony was always pleasant and professional.
Description of Work: moved contents of home of 30 years to storage and stored furnishings and fixtures for approximately 10 months while building a new house. Partial move to apartment while house was being built.

Due to the value of the marble table that was damaged, we want to make sure we send out a trained specialist to assess this item and provide us with their assessment to determine if the damage can be repaired to like-new condition or if the item needs to be replaced. If the report shows that the item cannot be repaired, we will quickly move toward replacing the item. The other items that you submitted have all be settled and are being replaced at current market value. The only remaining item was the painting, which we just need to have this item appraised to ensure the correct replacement valuation. I have had some experiences in the past with less than good moving companies, and therefore sought out referrals. I met with Shannon Pepper, the manager of Leader's Nashville operation, and was immediately convinced about their quality and attention to detail.He outlined the entire process again assuring us that we would not share a truck and that the truck would leave the morning after loading and drive straight through, which it did. He arranged to have two large pieces of art professionally packed and crated to protect them in addition to everything else. The movers themselves were superb. Adam, the lead, was terrific. He was articulate, energetic, honest, pleasant and a delight to work with. His associate, Xavier, was equally outstanding. The truck arrived early the morning after departure and was unloaded without any problem. There was no loss or damage except to one box where a plastic bottle of oil cracked (I packed that box). I doubt that I will have to move again, however, it I do one can be assured that I will use Leader's.
Description of Work: We packed much of our possessions, but Leader's packet the remainder. They packed what they had to pack and then loaded the truck in the same long day. Our possessions were alone in the truck and they were not transferred to another truck but stayed in that truck and everything was driven to our new home the next morning.

The seem to know what they were doing until we unpacked. Several items were damaged or broken or scratched so bad it took off some of wood of a family heirloom. We contacted them and they had someone contact us who said they would take care of it ASAP. Several additional emails and no response back. I am now going to contact my attorney.

On those occasions where we learn that we did not live up to the customer’s expectations we take great strides to remedy the situation. Clearly this is a situation where we failed to meet our customer’s needs and would absolutely like the opportunity to rectify the situation to the customer’s complete satisfaction. We have spoken to the member on December 15th. After speaking with the member, it appears as there was some miscommunication. When the claim was initiated, the customer was to have a family member forward pictures of the damaged items in order to facilitate the resolution process. The pictures, unfortunately, were never sent and therefore caused a delay. It was not our intention to delay the process and we are confident we can resolve this favorably with the customer once the process is complete. We are in the process now of gathering the photos and will expedite the claims process once we have the information. I appreciate the opportunity to resolve this issue and for letting us know. I guess you get what you pay for. The rate was great, they charge per item moved, not by the house. But the quality wasn't great. They did the job adequately, but I felt that once the items were in the new house they just left as soon as they could. Some of our items ended up in the wrong rooms--we had to switch 2 kking mattresses ourselves later, including moving one up stairs), and they banged up the walls quite a bit trying to fit a fridge through a doorway. I felt that because they weren't being paid by the hour, they were rushing to finish.
Description of Work: Moved our big furniture items from old to new house, 2 miles away. No packing and no moving of small items.

These guys know their stuff. What impressed me the most was their work ethic. They worked 12 hours for toe straight days and rarely stopped. They were very careful with all my stuff. I can honestly say they didn't damage one thing, if a piece of furniture has something broken or scratched on it, they came to me and noted it so I wouldn't think they had done it. On the second day they had to make a final trip back to my previous residence. When they arrived at the house it was locked! Xavier calmly called me and asked what to do. He had to wait while I tracked down the new owner and figured out how to get in the house, This cost them an extra hour and put them in the middle of rush hour getting back to my new house, They worked until it was all done -- another 12 hour day. I have to specially mention Xavier, Landon, Jacob and Darin. They did an incredible job with a great attitude. I recently retired from a business where I had 1500 employees. I would have been excited to have had them on my payroll! I have to compliment Shannon, the Manager, who called me several times during the move to see if everything was going OK. I hope I never have to move again but if I do, I would call them without hesitation, if you have to move, call these people, They live up to their excellent rating on Angie's List.
Description of Work: They came out and went through the house and gave me a quote and said there would be no surprises. Shannon was right. No surprises. They came one day and packed up my 3 story home. When they realized that the trucks would not hold it all, they brought in another truck . They worked until 9 pm two straight days. On the second day they came to my new house and unloaded about half of my stuff and the other half they took to their storage.

They were very accommodating and I had no troubles with scheduling. They made two stops. I was moving from my house to an apartment. I had them drop some furniture at my sons on the way. They did a good job and nothing was damaged. They were excellent and I had no complaints.
Description of Work: I hired them for a local move in Franklin, Tennessee. They transported boxes that I already had packed, took my bed apart, put it back together at my apartment.

Great company! They were prompt in giving estimate. They were on time the day of the move and worked really hard. The weather went from very hot to pouring rain and they worked through it all. I underestimated what we had to move and they were very kind and professional, working with me to schedule an additional day. They never once complained about the steep driveway or many steps they had to haul everything up in our new house or even when I asked them to move something to a different room. I highly recommend LEADERS Moving & Storage!

We moved from a large home and yard where we had lived for 42 years to a smaller home in the Nashville-Mt Juliet area. Before moving, the LEADERS team (Shannon Pepper, Nashville contact) came to our home and gave us an estimate for moving only and one for moving and packing. Not having moved in 42 years, we had lots of questions. Shannon answered them all with courtesy and respect. We did some of the packing ourselves; Shannon met us at the Nashville headquarters and helped us load boxes into our SUV. On packing day, the team leader, Mark, and helper Steven arrived promptly and packed with efficiency. Because we had so much stuff accumulated over the years, they brought in a helper, Tracey, for about half the day. After packing, they loaded boxes onto the truck, but left furniture and big yard items for the next day. The following day, they arrived promptly and delivered the first truck load of boxes to our home. Mark led the team which now included Xavier; Steven helped for a short time before leaving for another job. Xavier remained. He and Mark returned to our old home and loaded furniture and other items. The moving team placed all items either where we told them or where markings on the box indicated. Although, they had to unload one heavy item that was to remain at the old house and take two book cases back to the old house, they did not complain. They were extremely courteous and helpful. Everyone on the LEADERS team worked hard during the entire packing and moving experience. No one slacked off. They only took about 20 minutes for lunch. I also used LEADERS to help me with the unpacking the following day. We are 85% unpacked. We have not experienced any damage and we moved computers, TVs and some antiques. About 2 weeks after our move, we returned a bunch of boxes back to LEADERS and received a refund of 80% of the cost of the boxes --- no hassle; no questions asked. HATS OFF TO Shannon, Mark, Xavier, Steven, Tracey and the LEADERS Moving and Storage Company (Nashville office) for a great job. Moving after 42 years was very difficult, but LEADERS Moving and Storage made it less so. I would use them again. I would recommend this company without reservation

We have made many cross country moves over the years, so the moving experience is not new to us. But this had to be the smoothest and most 'glitch' free! We were called several days ahead to confirm time and locations. The morning of the move the driver called us to say that they were running about 15 minutes late. No problem. Loading the truck, driving to Nashville, unloading and setting up the bed and arranging the furniture all happened in a very professional and efficient manner. The two men were very careful with each piece of furniture, making sure not to damage it or the walls as it was moved. Both young men were most polite, courteous and capable. We could not have been more pleased and, if needed, will certainly use Leaders Again.
Description of Work: We needed to move 2 rooms of furniture from our house in Estill Springs to our condo in Nashville. Then needed other furniture moved from downstairs to an upstairs bedroom.
