submitted a ridiculous estimate to patch 3 holes, tape/mud/sand seams and roll a couple of coats of paint- he wanted $2300.totally totally outrageous- beware of this guy- i am guessing his estimate is dependent upon how much he thinks you can afford ;) i built my home and am well aware of what these services cost- and this is outrageous..... buyer beware!! ** update- 12/15/12 Hired a drywall installer for an hourly rate of $25/hr- this contractor refused to offer an hourly rate which is his prerogative. The requested work was finished in 4 days which included primer and finish coat- it billed out at close to $1000, oh and i am using that same contractor on my other properties. Regarding the comments about my "5 projects" going on- tenants were moving in- in 3 weeks and the house was being prepped, painted and floors refinished- its a 6000'- 3 story home. FYI: rental on that property is $5K/mo which does not include utilities and a 2 year lease. My comments about charging what he thinks you can afford is related to my experience with these types of contractors- and as i have built several homes in the Brentwood area- i have seen more than my share of these guys and generally they act with impunity. Not unlike the auto mechanic who will take advantage of you because you are a woman and the assumption is you don't know any better. AngiesList works because these guys are smoked out- people will certainly hire whoever they feel good about- and with a site like this- Contractors have to worry when they act there will be a record of those actions- both bad & good.

The technician was on time. He explained what the cleaning could and could not do. He was finished in less than an hour.

They were courteous and on time and did good work.

Eric is a general contractor and it appears he works with subcontractors on some of his jobs. I met Eric and Ken's Insulation at the house where they took a look at the attic and told me they'd contact me with a quote. Eric called me with a quote shortly after meeting with me. I accepted the quote and we set up a time that was convenient for me. Eric's employee arrived before the insulation guys to make the repairs necessary before the inulation was added. Everyone was very professional and cleaneed up after the work was done. I had a very good experience and won't hesitate to contact Eric again with other needs. Eric doesn't do all the work himself but it seems like he only works with companies that he trusts. Eric stopped by after the work to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction.

I would definitely contact them for any other brick/patio work for my house. They worked quickly and with skill. They handled this small job with great work ethic and ability.

We orginally called Landmark and spoke to Eric for estimates. We knew we wanted to get our deck power washed and stained before any other work was done. Eric came out and gave us a verbal estimate of $625 for the deck and also provided verbal estimates on some remodeling work inside our home. We agreed to have them refinish our deck. It can be difficult to get firm work dates from Landmark and it helps if your schedule is flexible. The weather also affected when they could complete the stain. However, the work was completed well. Landmark even replaced some wood on our railing, punched down loose nails and our deck looks brand new. After multiple attempts to get written estimates for our indoor remodeling, we received firm estimates on inside work for our home. We eventually were able to set up time in early January for the addition of a pantry closet to our kitchen for $975. The estimate did not include painting, which we agreed to complete ourselves. Eric and Keith arrived the first day to review the work to be completed. Keith then worked 3 days straight to complete the pantry. He was dedicated, worked long hours each day and the pantry was completed as we had hoped. He even replaced some front panel pieces on our master jacuzzi tub for a minimal cost. Landmark did the work as we expected with no additional costs. Different people complete different jobs. The first guy who started power washing our deck wasn't too efficient, but when Landmark came back to ready for staining they power washed again properly and we were very pleased. We were very pleased with the work Keith did on our pantry and have no complaints. Written estimates from Landmark are not as detailed as what many contractors provide, but there were no surprises. We were flexible about work dates and all seemed to go well.

We were looking for a reliable contractor to do a total remodel of our home and had looked in the yellow pages but weren't comfortable with this. After asking around, we decided to join Angies List to check out contractors and noted that Landmark Services was very highly rated. Since this was a major remodel, we wanted someone whom we could trust and who would do a good job for us. After initially speaking with and then meeting with Eric Glaser of Landmark, we knew that we had found the right person. Eric worked with us to pull all the various pieces and parts together to make our remodel a success and whenever changes had to be made Eric and his crew made the changes painless. The craftsmen that Eric used on our job, Joe, Jimmy, Keith and Pat are true professionals in every sense of the word. While it is difficult at best to live in a home that is being totally remodeled, Eric and his guys worked with us to make this possible. The end result is that we had a home that was showing its' age (built in 1968) but now we have a home that is modern and something that we are proud of. There is only one word that I can use to convey my pleasure at the service and price that we received from Eric and his guys - absolutely AWESOME!!!!

Working with him was a rare and wonderful experience. I have recommended him.

I called Eric and explained my problem to him. He was prompt with his visit for the estimate. He checked my availability. He called me the next day as promised to set up a time for the work to be done. The person doing the work called and was on the job at exactly the promised time. The work was completed. Looks great.

Called the company to get an estimate on plumbing, electrical and general handyman work to be done. An appointment was set for the next day at 11 am. No one showed up or called to reschedule. Not a good way to do business. I probably had at least $5000 of work to be done and did not get the satisfaction of a call.

I thought he was going to come by the same night or the next day. He said he would call me when he was able to get his schedule situated, but he never got back in touch with me. I waited for several weeks

Responsive. Timely. Professional. Completed the job on time and on budget.

Poor communications. Could have emailed me and stated he was not interested in performing work, instead of stating to me that he would call and email me an estimate.

I received a quote, a scheduled install date and the work was done exactly as presented. Wonderful to work with.

The painters were punctual professional and very pleasant. They encouraged us to inspect their work and gladly did the touch ups. Early on, there was an issue with paint on the carpet; they quickly corrected this. Overall, we received good value for the money. The masons were an entirely different story. They did not remove the loose mortar around the pool coping, instead using a plastic sealant on all the mortar. The sealant is fine for garage and basement floor; It looked terrible around the pool. I stopped their work at this point. They agreed to return the following Sat. at 07:00 to re-do the job. They arrived an hour late. With the previous day's c***-up and their late arrival, I sent them away; I had no faith in their ability to do the job correctly. Communicating with the masons was problematic; they spoke no English. I had to tell them they were fired twice, finally resorting to "no mas." The deposit was promptly refunded. The bottom line: An honest an guy, good painting job and problematic masons.

I have nothing but praise for the work crew that did my work. They actually started earlier than projected (were going to start the following week, but started on Friday the week of the estimate). They did a fabulous job. You would never know there was ever a hole in the wall or that patches of paint were pulled off the columns. They were neat and meticulous in their job. The fence looks great and is secure. They kept me appraised of their progress and made sure I was satisfied before they asked for any payment. I will use them for all my painting from now on.

Eric was very professional throughout the entire process from quote to execution. The job start was delayed a little by weather and took a little longer than anticipated only due to back ordered material. Eric was very good at communicating with regarding every step and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. What I also appreciated was how clean the job site was left when his crew was done for the day. We've gotten great responses from our neighbors, etc and are very pleased with the outcome. Landmark Services of TN was the first contractor I hired through Angie's list and will hopefully continue to have similar positive experiences in the future. I will definitely consider using Landmark Services of TN in the future and recommend them to others.

We have used Landmark Services before and their service is above and beyond always. Our roof looks awesome and so does our driveway.

Three painters worked on the job for 8+ hours the first day and 6+ hours the second day. They went through about 6 gallons of paint and completely transformed my 3200 square foot house. After the second day, I performed a full inspection of the paintwork and found only 19 minor items that needed work. Landmark took care of all 19 items in about an hour on the third day. Although I did find minor (tiny) paint drops here and there (and I did look VERY closely), I have no complaints. Landmark actually did a better job of protecting the floors than the home builder did. The house ended up looking brand new thanks to the fabulous paintwork.

Nothing to tell. They did not return my call.

Eric was very polite, timely and professional throughout this process. When he began the work he started eliminating the possibilities for cause of the flooding by using the cheapest options first. He caulked some areas in the garage, including the area where the wall hits the floor--he did this on 2 walls. When that didn't help, he came right back to help us again. He caulked some more areas. Then when that didn't work, he cleaned the gutters because a significant amount of water was pouring down from clogged gutters when it rains. Next, he installed a drainage pipe on the outside of the house. The workmanship was good, he even replaced the grass he dug up with sod. He did not leave anything to clean up at all. Again, that didn't work so he gave me a significant discount on it. I then chose another company to help find the leak because they specialized in water leakage. However, I did hire Eric to come back and remove a tree that was too close to the house/driveway. Again, he did an excellent job and left no mess behind. I would hire him again and I probably will.

Eric was amazing. I called him one night and he met with me the next afternoon at the house. He told me he would have an estimate for me by that evening and he did. He told me he would be able to start work the following Monday (he squeezed us in) and sure enough, when I went to check on things, he had workmen all over the house working on things. I couldn't believe how fast he got things done.Everytime I went to the property to check on things, people were there busily at work. He had it all done in a little over two weeks and it only took that long because the cabinet maker delivered the wrong size cupboard doors. I have been a Realtor for more than 25 years and I have never seen a Contractor who was this great. He is the best. Hands down!

Eric subcontracted the repair work. He did come on the second and final day to inspect the work being done. The subcontractors (there were two who worked on the job) were both very friendly, knowledgeable and diligent. The repair was completed in two days when I was actually expecting it to take at least three. Eric and the subcontractors were very easy to work with and responded quickly to my questions. I am very pleased with the repair. I would definitely refer others to Eric and will definitely consider using him again.

Eric saved the day when it came to my hardwood floors. I had a company who had attempted to do them twice and failed. Eric's team was able to sand them correctly and refinish in Ebony whcih I am told is a very hard finish to do. They look wonderful. The team was extremly respectful and professional. Very sympathetic to my situation since we were already out of our house for over a month due to the first guy. I have received many compliments on our floors and LOVE them. It's exactly what we wanted. The trim outside was also repainted. Nothing too much to say here except that they did exactly as they were asked and that the painter was very nice. The only downside here was that they at first didn't notice some flowers and had crushed a few with their ladder. Eric had already noticed it when I did and had already addressed the issue. Other than that they were very professional. We had never cleaned out our gutters so needless to say all of them were coming loose from the house and one had even fell off. Eric's team replaced what needed to be replaced and tightened the screws on the rest. I asked about gutter guards and he quoted them out. Very reasonable quote however they didn't work. The team had installed some and a few days later they had come off which they aren't supposed to do. Eric gave me the option to keep them or to have them removed and not pay. I opted to have them removed. Lastly he reinstalled some lattice on our deck that had become damaged. I've already recommened Eric to my in-laws because I was so happy with his service.

I scheduled an estimate with Eric in Feb 2011 for some minor bathroom renovations and other small renovations around the house. He arrived late to the appointment and I had received no advance call that he was running behind. The estimate was completed and it was a very competitve price, so we were happy to go with Landmark. Over the next month we slightly revised the renovations due to budgets and decided to do just the bathroom now and wait on the other renovations. Eric communicates primarily through text, which I found irritating and made it extremely difficult to communicate accurate, understandable information. Through a series of texts, despite my repeated requests to be contacted personally by phone rather than text, we managed to sort of nail down a date in April for the renovation. Eric said in a final text that he would contact me a few days before to confirm everything. Three days prior to the scheduled renovations I called Eric to find out what was going on. I hadn't heard anything, so I called and left a message asking him to call me directly so we could touch base. Three days passed and the morning of the renovation arrived, with no response. By this time we had decided that the lack of communication was making this too difficult and we didn't trust that Eric could be relied upon to finish the project, nor did we feel as secure in his ability to do it properly. Eric answered and said that he had been out of town and was returning the calls he'd received while out of town. Apparently he was going to call me to confirm things for the next day - the second of the two days we had scheduled for the renovation. I informed Eric that due to the extreme lack of communication, we would have to go with someone else. I needed someone I could trust to communicate in a timely and more professional manner. I had read such great reviews of Landmark here on Angie's List and was thrilled when Eric was able to give us such a good price for the proposed renovations, especially considering it was a bathroom. I'm extremely disappointed in Eric's less than professional communication and behavior. Sadly, I can't recommend him to anyone, but I would have loved to be able to.
