He was prompt in returning my call, very nice on the phone. He explained that he was out of state, but would be glad to give me the name of a friend of his who is doing his work while he is gone. I appreciated the call to let me know that he was unavailable, and that he had someone lined up to take his calls.

I left John a voicemail on a Tuesday, and he called me back promptly. After assessing the severity of my leaky sink, which was very minor, we agreed to address it later in the week which was better for both of our schedules. John called when he was on his way, and arrived just when he said he would. He identified the source of my leak in about 20 seconds, told me what it would take to fix, and went to work right away. I'm a relatively new home owner, and he made me feel extremely comfortable about what he was doing and that he would stand behind his work. I would definitely recommend John and plan to use him again if (when) I have more plumbing needs.

We knew we needed to get the leaky pipe fixed as the wall it was leaking onto was damp to the touch, starting to look moldy. We called Jon on a Friday afternoon. He called back almost immediately, and scheduled an appointment for the very next morning. He asked many questions on the phone and even asked us to send photos of the problem areas to make sure that he brought all of the right equipment (in order to do the job as efficiently as possible- and thus- save us money). He arrived right when he said he would and got right to work on the leaky pipe in our garage, on which he did a great job as it is no longer leaking. He also took the time to explain to us what we could do to repair the damp/moldy portion of the drywall. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He spent some time diagnosing our slow bathroom drain and eventually located what looked like the broken end of a pipe inside our sink drain, presumably left behind by a previous workman, which proved somewhat tricky to remove. He spent the time to get it out and now our bathroom sink is draining beautifully. He was also extremely careful about cleaning up after himself and left each area in better condition that he found it. You can tell that Jon takes a lot of pride in his work. We are delighted that we have found a plumber for life.

I called Mr. Robin after signing up for Angies List. In our first phone conversation Mr. Robin gave me information about how to get the faucet parts locally or a resource for free parts if I wanted to save some money. I have never talked to a service provider who was so helpful and generous with useful information. I told him I would look into it and get back to him. After receiving free parts from Delta saving about $45 I called Mr. Robin back and set up a time for him to come to complete the repair. The experience was terrific. He was professional, friendly and gave me additional information ( I was interested in the repair process). I felt he was knowledgable and knew his trade very well. He also seemed very honest and trustworthy. Mr. Robin completed the repair and cleaned up in a very short amount of time. I have and will continue to tell friends about him and I plan on using him in the future. He also volunteered information about the discount for first time customers and gave me 15% off of the reasonable charge for the job.

I sent Jon Robbin Plumbing an email through Angie's List to inquire about having our washing machine drain cleaned out. Jon called the morning after I sent the email. He runs a small operation and doesn't do drain cleaning, but he spent 20+ minutes on the phone with me, asking questions and diagnosing our problem. He made some recommendations on what we might do to get our system up to date which would keep roots out of our pipes. Finally, he suggested a reputable company to perform the drain cleaning service for us. Though we weren't able to use his services this time around, he will be my first call next time we have a plumbing problem. He was prompt in responding to my email and went out of his way to be helpful even though he knew that he would be unable to perform the service we needed.

Jon arrived on time, didn't charge extra for a Saturday, and completed the work promptly, while taking all the necessary precautions (removing items/insulation before soldering, including a lawn mower that was close by). Jon was professional, courteous, and friendly. It was a pleasure to do business with him.

Jon always calls ahead to let us know he is on his way and it's always around the time we had arranged in advance. He is friendly, yet professional. He explains everything he will be doing and, once the job is completed, he goes over what he has done with us. He is meticulous in his cleaning up. He works hard -- this job took about 6.5 hours and he didn't stop at all during that time. The total cost came under his initial estimate. I can't praise him highly enough. This is the second time we have used him -- he is definitely "our" plumber now!

First spoke with Jon on the telephone, where he talked with me about the repairs needed. He had me take a picture of the water heater and pipe to help determine whether he might need any specific parts to help save time on labor cost, and I e-mailed those. His diagnosis after reviewing the pictures ended up being correct later. Jon was on time and a pleasure to have in the house. My initial reason for calling Jon was due to the ratings that I saw on Angie's List, and if every recommendation turns out as this one did, I will be a life-long user. As a plumber Jon is the ideal, and I imagine the qualities that I saw exhibited carry over to the rest of his life. I watched his work and could tell that he was well prepared, knowledgeable, and cared about the work that he was doing. The repairs did not take as long as I expected them to, and everything is still working well months later. If you live in the Nashville area, and are looking for an excellent, independent plumber, look no further.

We had a surprise installation time from a local granite warehouse and had to have our old plumbing disconnected before they were to arrive the next morning. In an emergency, I called 4 different plumbers (all off of Angie's List). A couple of those plumbers didn't call back and another was very expensive. Jon, my last call, answered his phone and listened to my situation. Not only did he agree to come out right away (9PM) but he didn't charge me for the "Emergency". I still can't believe it! Jon completed the work we needed for the disconnect (so the granite installers could do their work the next AM) and then told me to call him when I was ready to install the new faucets. The next morning came, granite was installed and I called Jon. He came right out and installed (2) of the 3 faucets so we would have running water in one of our bathrooms. GET THIS: We had a delay on getting the 3rd faucet from the dealer...and Jon insisted to come on out and hook up the two and agreed to come back when we received the 3rd. Again, I can't believe it!!! Several days later, the 3rd faucet arrives in the mail and I call Jon. Once again, Jon gets to me the very next day. Really, who does that? I haven't had this kind of service, ever!! The quality of work is amazing and he refused to call it quits until I had given approval on his work. He certainly went the extra mile to make sure our plumbing would be secure for years to come. This takes the cake!!! Once Jon had completed all of this for me...and made 3 trips out to do it...he actually came in a little less than his estimate (which was several hundred dollars lower than the next guy). The best part of the deal is that Jon was the nicest guy! Simply put, we have found a plumber for life! Call Jon, they don't make 'em like him anymore.

I called Jon regarding sediment in the hot water and I was concerned that we might need a new hot water heater. Jon diagnosed the problem over the phone and assured me that the hot water heater was ok. He spent 20 minutes with me over the phone untll he was satisfied that the heater was working properly.

We had a leak of unknown origin under our kitchen sink and an on-again/off-again leak in our bathtub. We also discovered a leak in our cellar. Jon was not immediately available to come by and he gave us the names and numbers of two other plumbers. We decided to wait for Jon because we had already been in touch with him about the bathtub, even to the point of taking photos and sending them to e-mail so he could get an idea of what the set up was. Our house was built in 1930 and some things are old and/or funky. He came when he said he would. He examined the kitchen sink, explaining what he was looking for and then explaining the problem once he found it, as well as what it would require to fix it. This included telling us what equipment he would use and their cost. He then checked out the bathtub and ultimately concluded that no fix was necessary, explaining why. Finally, we went to the cellar to look at the leak down there. Again, Jon explained what was happening and gave a thorough description of what a repair would involve. He assured us that the leak was causing no damage, gave us an estimate for what it would take for him to do the repair, and told us we could wait on getting it done. Once we had checked out all the problems, he got to work. He worked quickly, cleaned up after himself, and showed us what he had done. He is knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and direct.

Jon came out promptly and crawled all around my crawlspace to examine for leaks. In the end it appeared that the main line running to the house had a leak, unfortunately, and with some impediments (large tree roots, etc.) that would need to be dug up, it was a bigger job than he was able to do by himself. He took the time to recommend several other plumbers he trusted, even examined my toilet just to make sure that was running properly, and didn't charge me. Obviously I hope to not have major issues like this again, but for other updates to the house (new sink/faucet for the kitchen when a new countertop is installed), I definitely plan on calling him.

I called Jon after reading his numerous positive reviews. I was planning an office remodel that included removing existing/installing new plumbing. Having a strict schedule of when my office would be closed for remodeling, I needed someone with experience to handle the unexpected. We discussed the work I wanted done and the strict timeline involved. To his credit, Jon asked numerous questions in an effort to complete the job to my satisfaction and also avoid any SNAFU's once work actually began. He arrived on time for the in office estimate and had no issues working with and around other contractors. The work was completed on time, with obvious quality and care and Jon had no trouble adjusting to my ever changing schedule and requests.

Jon was very flexible with scheduling, did the work quickly, and did a good job. I plan to use him again in the future and would recommend him to friends.

John came to my house and looked over the job before he began (at no charge). We discussed what needed to be done and set a date. He was very prompt on the job the day we set. He got all the work done in one day and did an excellent job. The estimated price was right on, and I feel like I got my money's worth.

Before selling my house, I wanted to install new counters, sink and faucet in the kitchen. I called Jon one week prior to the job and discussed the project with him. He was able to give me an estimate of the amount of time needed, and gave me some tips on faucet brands and other installation advice. He called after the counters were installed to confirm the appointment. He arrived on time and completed the work in the amount of time he had previously estimated. Jon maintained excellent communication throughout the process. I highly recommend his services. As an added bonus, the house is now under contract. No doubt the faucet helped!
