"HORRIBLE!!!!!!~!~!!! Actually the job, although paid for, was never finished. I sent numerous certified letters but they were never signed for by Eric Grisham, owner, or by anyone he designated. I left over 20 phone messages but never received any response. With no response and with watching the stairs come apart and become a serious hazard, I called my attorney. In addition, of the many thousands of dollars that I had spent on the sod, there was nothing to show for it. Eric Grisham claimed that the sod had been defective, and promised to replace it.. I had a horrible mess! He never returned. The purpose of having the yard landscaped at that time was to be ready for a memorial. My 4 year old granddaughter had passed from cancer so that made the yard project all the more important. He knew the urgency of having the job done right and on time.. There are too many shady issues to report but to top it off, when Mr. Grisham left my home, he promised to return to make everything the way it should be. He claimed that he was one of Angies Lists preferred contractors. As my Lawyer looked up Mr. Gresham and companies, he announced to me that the day after I paid Innovative Lawns in full, the company was dissolved as" not being solvent!!" Now, here you have him on your site with a different company name. "Innovative, Inc.!!" This kind of fraudulent behavior is unforgivable. Even if a contractor may have differences with their clients, it is important to communicate or resolve those differences, NOT disappear! That is pretty much evidence that the contractor is less than honorable and professional! By being LLC, all he had to do to cover himself, once he had been paid, was to claim that his business wasn't solvent and disappear! When there are damages from non completion or standard of workmanship, the consumer is left with no recourse because as it would follow, there would be no assets to attach. PLEASE do not allow this business to remain in good standing with Angies List! Originally seeing "Innovative Lawns" on your list was the reason I called Owner, Eric (Ralph) Grisham to begin with!! As a last note...if there is any dispute of this report from this contractor, then I would be glad to send current pictures of the total collapse of his work!! I will be sending a copy of this to the licensing bureau here in Tennessee, since I see he has this new official name "Innovative Inc". The date listed above as "last contact" is the date I was able to speak with your representative. After that discussion, I once again called Eric Grisham but never received any response.
