Been a customer for over 30 years and have taken them every car the family has owned. Always treated more as family than a customer and never thought twice about the cost, quality or need for repairs made. Good people!

Great experience. They even paid for the Uber I had to take to go get my car when it was ready.

Transmission was leaking fluid so I wasted no time in taking car to Import Automotive. The mechanic warned me that the cost could possibly go up to $4300 dollars or more to replace or repair transmission. Later that afternoon the mechanic called me at work and gave me the wonderful news that no damage was done to transmission at all. She also complemented me for bringing the car in as soon as the leak was detected. The problem was simply a broken rubber seal and the cost only $325 dollars! I was so delighted with the good news that I also requested a transmission tune up and fluid change which added $650 dollars to make the final cost only $950. I cannot stress enough the most high quality of excellence in service and car repair at Import Auto!!

Excellent diagnostics, excellent work. I have used Import Auto Maintenance since the late '80's, and they are great. Consistently the best diagnostic work I have seen, reported in as quantitative terms as possible. They are somewhat more expensive, but they warranty their parts and labor for a year. Even if you don't want to pay a bit more for them, I highly recommend you consider using them for at least the initial diagnosis --- they catch things others don't. For example, IAM told me I had a blown head gask in a Saab, repairs of which often run $2500. I took it to another place, also good work, but they said it was just a faulty spark plug and fixed it for under $100. HOWEVER, a year later, sure enough, the problem was back and worse, and it was and had indeed been a blown head gasket. Thus, IAM got it right the first time, and way ahead of the competition. I think IAM is getting poorer reviews because people don't like to hear bad news. Because they are such great diagnosticians and "dig deeper" into potential problems than anyone else, they find more and tell you more, oftentimes things you do not want to hear. But they are usually right. They want to make your care as "perfect" as can be, and sometimes that's too costly, So, if nothing else, use them for diagnostic work, where they really shine.

Service reps were very helpful, knowledgeable, and communicative. Work was done perfectly (no problems after a full year). I felt no pressure to have extra work done, although they did point out other issues (e.g., slow oil leak).

1. Fairly easy to schedule appointment, just dropped off my car and it was ready in 2-3 hours 2. The primary reason I wanted a pre-purchase inspection, sounds coming from the wheels when driving, unclear how thoroughly it was investigated.

These guys are very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. They communicate well so there are no surprises. I trust these guys to treat my car as if it were theirs. I'll be back.

Excellent service. I've been coming here for about 10 years and the work they've done has always been solid.

I used them through a big deal on Angie's List. It was good. The big deal was for $50. They initially forgot to take it off. I printed it out and gave it to them when I dropped the car off. But when they were ringing me up, they forgot to deduct it. Once I reminded them, they took it off. All of the service they provided was excellent. I even had to go back for a follow-up, and they covered that at no charge. It was very good to deal with them. The good part was that they were very forthcoming with the service done, and they were accurate on their quote. The drawback on them was that they were a little slow, and they didn’t provide feedback when the service was going on when they ran into delays. Overall, I was satisfied with them. I would use them again.

Oil change. It went well but was expensive, I wouldn't go back for an oil change, but would considered them for more complex problem with my auto.

Took a little longer and cost more than expected, but they did an accurate job. Very professional. Employed them for several years when I lived and worked in the Nashville area.

Import Auto Maintenance is the best place to take an import car. They are knowledgable, prompt, very women-oriented in their service and their prices are extremely fair. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

Have used IAM many years with many cars. trustworthy and shuttle service very convenient. No prob using coupon for my oil change, rotate and balance tires and align and check brakes. If you have an import, go see IAM

Excellent. They promptly drove me to my office and picked me up that afternoon to bring me back to get my car. The driver and cashier at the shop were both very friendly.

Import Auto had recently done some much-needed repairs and part-replacements on my old Trooper. They are keeping it running like a youngster! Smoothly! There service is always friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional. They are the best in every respect!

Although we were new to the area and to this business, everyone we encountered welcomed us like we were old, familiar customers. They worked us into their busy schedule on the same morning that we contacted them. The entire staff was friendly, professional, polite and eager to assist. We will definitely return the next time our vehicle needs any service work. This is truly a first-class operation.

I have been using their service for the last twelve years. I find the service to be very friendly and knowledgeable. They do specialize in European and Japanese imports. If I am purchasing a used Japanese vehicle, I take it to them for inspection. They offer a one years warranty if anything goes wrong with the service provided, they will repair and replace at no charge. If there is any trouble within the second year for the same service, they offer a 50% discount. They are locally owned and have been around for over thirty years.

Professional office staff. Could not have been more friendly and professional. However.....there is much more to the story...They priced the replacement of front brake pads, rotors, and caliper at $680; Then informed me that my hoses were bad and needed replacement - an extra $500. When I told them that I could not afford those repairs, they told me that the car was not driveable as my engine could overheat at any moment and damage the head gasket, so I paid to have the car towed to another garage ($100). I believe that this was a scare tactic on their part. The mechanic at the second garage, disagreed that the car was undriveable. He found the hoses to be in good working order with no leaks. He replaced my front brake pads, rotors, calipers; my back brake pads, changed the oil and the air filter...total cost $353! The $45 I spent for Import Auto Maintenance to look at my car was a waste, as was the $100 towing bill. During the time that I was waiting in their lobby, I observed two other customers receive shocking estimates on repairs for their cars. Neither had the work done at this business. Would not recommend this shop to anyone.

ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE EXPERIENCE!!! Other than the fact that Laurie communicated clearly and conducted herself in a professional manner, this was one of the worst auto repair experiences I've ever had. I TOLD them what to look for when I took it in for an estimate and repair. After a MONTH of misdiagnosing, and putting on "bad parts" from the manufacturer, they eventually diagnosed the repair with exactly what I told them it was \ what to look for. Upon picking the car up FINALLY, after a month, the owner renegged on his negotiated price for the "repair", called me a liar and untrustworthy, in front of other customers and all of his staff and tried to refuse my payment and keep my car. I cannot say one good thing about this place. They've been in town for forever, as have I, and I would never recommend them to anyone. They are being reported to AAA and the BBB of Nashville over this debacle

The shop was timely, professional in their customer service.

Been coming here for years with multiple cars since I have large family. This was 1994 Subaru with over 300,000 miles and got oil changed and complete service. They checked brakes and alignment ETC. HIGHLY recommend this shop!

Called them on Wednesday and scheduled an appointment for Thursday. They got back to me by lunch with an estimate of $1,830 including tax. Told them to go ahead and replace the clutch. I called them Friday afternoon to figure out if my car would be ready and they said they would have to check with the mechanics. Called me back by 3 PM and said they would not be able to get it done because the flywheel required special adjustments. They offered me a car for the weekend which I declined. By Monday my car was ready. Went to pick it up after work and had a friendly conversation with them while they took it out for a test drive to make sure there were no issues. Got car back and everything was ready to go. So far everything is working great.

Import Auto Maintenance's prices were amazing. Their parts and labor are guaranteed for 2 years. I will definitely use them in the future.
