Description of Work: Great first run through of the house and offered additional services that met our specific needs. We continue to use them for our pest services and haven't experienced any problems with bugs. Always on time and gives a courtesy call before coming out to let me know they'll be on the property and to see if there's anything additional that we need.

Description of Work: On every visit, HomeShield has treated the outside of my house. The only time the inside was treated was the first visit, last year. I haven't had any problems on the inside except for the stray spider here and there. To be honest, I haven't had much interaction with the HomeShield rep/agent other than phone calls to confirm the appointment, so I can't really offer up any ratings. However, when I did have to call about some tough carpenter bees, HomeShield returned to retreat the areas, and no more carpenter bees.

Description of Work: Very satisfied with the service. The technician was thorough, professional and seems to have done a good job. Time will tell. So far, no bugs, a very good thing!

Description of Work: They turned up an hour late, did the job, then the Carpenter Bees turned up a few days later. Then we rescheduled, but they didn't come when they said they would. So we called back and they cam back and did the job again.. I think that has finally killed off the Carpenter Bee infestation... Sooo... Good but bad but good. I guess we got there in the end.

Description of Work: They sprayed for tiny ants that are coming into our kitchen and for a couple of days, none were noticed, but then the ants came back with help. I will say that when we called, Homeshield returned and the worker sprayed again, set out new traps in the kitchen and at both sides of our garage door but this did not stop the ants. | |We are now using a non-toxic spray that seems to not stop them but we will go several days at a time before a return and then not as many as before. The spray we are using is one my wife purchased on QVC or Home Shopping and I have sprayed all around our home on the outside and in my garage. I have found that my next door neighbor seems to have them in droves and has had one that one pest control company there. I,m having better luck myself. | |Sorry I couldn't give HomeShield a better rating but they did try and were very punctual and cordial. They just didn't get it done.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal. It took several days for them to contact me, then about a week and a half to schedule, which I felt was reasonable. The tech was on time. He did not introduce himself. He did not use shoes covers or ask if he needed to take his shoes off before entering. I told him the reason I purchased the deal was due to concern for mice in the wall of the back bedroom. He gave no real explanation of what he was going to do except that he would spray inside and out. He returned to the front door at an appropriate interval. I specifically asked him about the back bedroom. He said he would need to put traps out for that. When I asked him about doing so, I was told "that is only for our regular customers, not the Angie's List Big Deal". Mind you he never went over what "regular customer" services were even offered, so it is not like I refused to pay for work that needed to be done. At that point I did not bother to inquire about hiring them, as I felt it would not be a good use of my resources to do so. Maybe the tech was having a bad day, but I did expect some level of professionalism and customer service. I admit that I did not contact them again - in all honesty I did not want to waste more of my time. After this, I had to hire another pest control service to take care of my needs.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for a preventive interior and exterior pest treatment. There were no troubles with scheduling. I believe the work turned out fine. They have not yet come out for the second application.
