The company was excellent in all ways possible.

The technition explained exactly what he was going to do and what to expect. He had explained that the service was guaranteed so if I did not get the expected results they would return. They did just that. We were completely satisfied.

The Home Shield Pest Control representative arrived on time and did a complete walk through and treatment of my home. I had used another vendor prior to Home Shield that I was extremely unhappy with their service and results. I immediately saw a difference in the insect and pest around and in my home. They also sent me a follow up email with a review of the service that they had provided. I would high recommend them.

The technician arrived on time and informed me of everything they were doing and why. Took about 30 minutes on a 1500 sq home.

I bought the interior and exterior pest control deal from Angie's List. **Update*** They came back out and re serviced free of charge. Thanks!!! ORIGINAL REVIEW: The good: -Service man arrived on time. -Took off his shoes prior to entering, initially. -Asked if I prefer he do the inside or outside of home first. -Rang the door bell, in pouring rain although he had been inside several times. I felt very bad he did not just come back inside. -He asked how to arrange and spray around my dog (a 130 lb great Pyrenees) who was at home at the time The not-so-good: -I had to request if the deal includes my attic spaces (it does). -I had to ask what was performed outside and ensure that the crawl space was done (he had said he had done so neglected to include that in his summary) -He asked me to sign confirmation prior to completing both attic spaces. When I checked, he said he had completed the garage and not the interior - as he could not locate it. I am glad I asked before he drove off. -He asked me a bit about my previous pest control company (Terminex) and why I did not use them, that this service is just beginning maintenance and that in 60 days bugs will be back. In December I should hope not- also, I do not have a serious bug problem. The only main issues I had were some spiders and boxelder bugs outside of the home. He asked a bit until I finally said I was not interested in signing up for a service agreement at this time. -There were a lot of precursory "this will not get rid of all of your bugs", "you may still see bugs trying to get outside, etc", "you may still see spider webs" and other gray areas that made me feel uncomfortable if it is really working or not. When he was leaving a bug was crawling on the floor and the service technician pointed it out that the spray is working. This may be true- but its just odd. -The final straw is he ripped up the plywood going in and out of my pull down attic on the second floor leaving wood splinters embedded in the carpet everywhere. I almost got a splinter and couldn't believe what a obvious mess was left behind. I wish I could attach pictures. Bottom line: maybe the product works really well, but the mess, the need to follow up, the marketing sale and the vagueness on the service made me uncomfortable. I will pass on these guys again.

It went great. We signed up for a full year service contract. We just had them treat for random indoor bugs. It was easy to schedule an appointment. They called before they arrived as well.

The experience was great from the start great price, fast appointment ,on time. The guy that came to the house was very polite but did his job and was in and out. He was very personable but professional just what we like in service. He came inside and sprayed then went outside and cleaned all around the house and sprayed and put out granules. There was not a thing that I could say bad about this company and they definitely have our business. I also liked that they did not try to pressure us into using them again and we made that decision based on their service. We don't believe you will be disappointed by any means from the beginning to the end.

It worked like a charm.. Haven't had any bugs in a month and don't even have to wear bug spray when sitting outside!

I had seen an increase in wolf spiders around my home, both large and small. I don't do spiders. After one treatment, I didn't see one free roaming spider. There were several in the traps, but since my first treatment back in 11/2013, I think I've only seen one free roamer. They did sell me on a contract after the deal I got off of Angie's list. It was $80 per treatment. They come every other month, but as part of the $80, if you see any other pests or insects, they will come back out and retreat your home. That's a pretty good deal, since I've only seen one spider in 9 months.

He did a good job. He was very professional and a very nice man.

This went very well. The technician explained what he was doing both before the job and after he finished. He gave suggestions for things we could do to help keep the insects at bay. Overall a great service and a great technician.

The gentleman that came out was very friendly and professional.

We were being ran over with ants. I purchased the treatment on Angie's list on the 14th and they were there on the 18th. I have never seen a company do such a thorough job. The rep litterally sprayed my house from top to bottom. Used a powder under the house. And put a barrier around my house with a third type of treatment. My trash cans were infested so he even treated those for me! Cleaned off the webs from around the house as well. We saw a few ants over the next couple of days but they were not in good shape! Have not seen another one inside since! I am ecstatic!!!

After the first treatment I didnt really see to much of a difference but the company went above and beyond and came out again to spray, and with the big deal I purchased I still have one more treatment. The person who came to my house was very professional and pleasant. They really seemed to know what they were talking about and I liked the fact that they explained what exactly they were doing.

Called the day before to schedule the service and got here on time. Answered all our questions and got to work. After he completed the work came back to let us know and to remind us to contact him if we had any more questions or concerns. This is the second time we have used their service and we are very impressed. Have decided to sign up for regularly scheduled services.

I called and left a message Saturday in which I was very clear about what I wanted done (to get some miner bees treated in my garden box). After no response was received by noon Monday I called back, repeated what I needed, and the owner said he would have a service tech call and come out. A service tech came out and looked at my bee issue in a back yard garden box. He informed me he couldn't treat just the bees, he needed me to sign a one year contract with an initial charge of $200 and then monthly charges for a year and then he could treat for the bees. I explained I didn't need or want a one year service and didn't want monthly pesticides used in or around my home due to concerns about the environment and my pets. He said he didn't make the company rules and he could not treat for anything on a one time basis. Since I was very clear in voice mail and on the phone to the owner I told him it would have been nice to know this policy before I wasted his and my time. In my opinion this was extremely unprofessional treatment and I felt like they were fishing for contracts when they felt they had me over a barrel when I needed something done quickly.

It went great. He called me and showed up on time. He found some things I didn't know about, which I was really appreciative for. He spent about an hour and a half, and taught me a lot, which was great.
