A child, her Dad and a dog got stung by yellow jackets after encountering an unknown nest in the ground. I escorted the child, her Dad and the dog into the house. I tried to temporarily mitigate the problem by putting a flagstone over the hole and was stung ten or more times. I then called my wife and told her we needed an exterminator capable of resolving this kind of problem available immediately. She then looked on Angies List (we are national members). She contacted three companies, gave them the location and my phone number stating it was an emergency situation. I received three calls in response. Only HomeShield was able to provide a timely response. They said they would have Robert call me as soon as possible. I received his call in five minutes. He said he was in the area and that he would be on-site and deployed within 35 minutes. He showed up in less than 30 minutes, parked the truck and began unrolling the equipment. We talked, he asked me to stand back and he began treatment on the identified yellow jacket nest. He then advised me that there was a second nest, which he also treated. He then said that the initial treatment would include a perimeter spray of the house as he pointed out there were other stinging hazards in the area. It began a heavy rain just as he completed. He advised that if I continued to see the stinging hazards to call him back and he would re-spray at no additional cost, because of the interruption of the rain. The decision to go with HomeShield was initially based on their immediate availability; however, I was also very pleased with their response and treatment, and will be calling HomeShield (Robert) in the future for further treatments. Note: After the fact, I was also pleased that I received an initial service discount as an Angies List member.

She was very professional and went right to work when she got here. I showed her places where there were a lot of ants. /she thanked me for pointing out those spots. Excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone I know.

It didn't seem like there was that much of a decrease in the amount of bugs.

Very pleasant and did not disturb my doing business on phone. I inquired about termite inspection and a few weeks later a man showed up and went under my crawl space and told of no evidence. He offered a maintenance plan and was not pushy and seemed genuine and honest.

The technician came right on time. He asked if I had any concerns or anything in particular that I would like him to look at before he started spraying. I walk him throughout the inside and the outside of our home showing him areas of concern. He answered all my questions. He then went through and sprayed. I am very pleased with this company. They are knowledgable, prompt and very customer oriented. I found them by looking on Angie's List and decided to give them a try based on the great reviews others had given them. I am glad I did. I would certainly recommend them to others.

On time, good to work with and have worked with them in past.

Totally disorganized and MIA. I called and was quoted a price, then I set up a time and was in the process of giving my information when the call cut out. Called back, but went to answering machine. Left message, was not called back. Left message on website, was not called back. I tried calling back the next business day and again it went to answering machine. Finally got someone who had no record that I ever called, and quoted a much higher price. Signed up for that and scheduled a time. They sent an email to confirm my email address, but the link didn't work. Scheduled time came, I left work early to be there, but no one showed up. Called, but no answer. Called again and left message, but was never called back. Worse dealing with HomeShield than the bugs!

Went right on schedule, she was polite and treated all areas and corners in each interior room. Afterwards, she treated the entire perimeter of the exterior of the home.

Responsive and easy to schedule. Technician communicated well about what was and was not included in the treatment and what to expect after the treatment. We've seen a noticeable decrease in bugginess around the house.

We have had an increase in all insects since the service. It is understandable and known that ants will increase during treatment, because of scent trail removal and other responses to treatment; however, the increase is throughout and trails are visually noticeable, where they were prior to the treatment. I would not recommend or refer anyone for this service. -- I altered the previous review, because they have shown professional etiquette and requested to come and correct the mishap. Unfortunately, we had already reached out to another company (eco-friendly) to come and inspect the house for service.

It went very well. Provider was on time and explained in full detail the steps he was doing with the pest control treatment. Very knowledgeable and set clear expectations. Discussed follow up treatment which was a bi monthly plan with their company, not pushy at all and we will be honored the Angie's list price of $69.00 for future treatments. They will return free of charge if any issues with pests pop up after initial service. Would highly recommend. We have not had any issues with pests since they serviced our home.

HomeShield is an excellent company to work with. I purchases a Angie's list deal for an internal and external home pest spray and inspection. It was a great price for the services offered. They were very accommodating to my schedule and were able to service my house for me. The first technician that came out did not do a thorough job on the spray and he didn't provide an inspection. When I called HomeShield regarding the issue they sprung into action and worked diligently to have someone come out to my house and fix the issue. To me that is the best sign of a quality company, its how they handle an issue that gives you confidence in there business ethics and practices. Plus their prices are really good. I will definitely use them in the future.

An outstanding service provider. The technician was excited to be at our home and took tremendous pride in his work. Very professional in all respects and the pest control treatment provided was very effective. Exceeded our expectations and would definitely use again and recommend to others.

Everything went great. Steve showed up five minutes early. He was very thorough, very knowledgeable, and friendly. I couldn't have been happier. Because of the great service we received, we decided to contract with their company for a year. We just moved to Tennessee. Being new to the area, we have sought out Angie's list for help numerous times. Angie's List has been so helpful finding great help!

Everything that was advertised was what they provided and the gentleman that came out was very professional and helpful.

It went great and the guy was very nice and friendly. He also informed me that if we continued to have issues with the spiders and wasps, to give them a call back to treat the house again at no additional cost.

It went really well. The man that came (Rusty?) was very nice, professional, helpful and quick. The only reason I didn't give a straight A rating is because we had to have him come back a second time. I'm not sure if this is because the problem was so bad or if he just wasn't as thorough the first time around. At any rate, the second time was free and he was able to work with our schedule, which can be difficult.
