+ -1 moreHe came out and we told him what we were looking to do and he added no comments, direction, referrals, etc. I asked how much it would cost to do the work and he said he couldn't possibly say that it was up to me to come up with a budget. We wanted to put in a new walkway and he said he didn't do walkways. Mr. Holt could not have been of less value.
Description of Work: After reading the recommendations on Angie's List and seeing the pictures I called Michael to come out and give me an estimate on changes/improvements we wanted to make to our front yard. He said that he charges $60.00 to come out which I foolishly agreed to thinking that he was going to give us some information in addition to making an estimate to do the work.

+ 0 moreMR HOLT WAS WORKING UNDER A DEADLINE AND WAS ABLE TO MEET IT. HE WAS FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO WORK WITH A PLAN THAT MY SISTER HAD DRAWN UP AND FULFILLED THE SPIRIT OF IT IF NOT THE LETTER. HE HAD GOOD RECOMMENDATIONS FOR NEEDED CHANGES.
Description of Work: REMOVED OLD SHRUBS AND COMPLETELY REDID THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. BUILT A RAIN GARDEN IN THE BACK, BUILT A SERIES OF PATHS, AND ROCK WALLS, AND LINED A SWALE, PLANTED NEW SHRUBS AND MULCHED.

+ 0 moreWow. I've rarely been so impressed. Mike knows more about trees and shrubs than anyone I've met. He steered us away from the wrong trees for this area. Selected all the trees and shrubs. They're actually much bigger than I was expecting. They have totally transformed the look and feel of our home. Very satisfied. Plus it was an unbelievably great price.
Description of Work: Mike planted a total of about 15 trees and shrubs on the property, including landscape design, selection of trees and planting.

+ -1 moreMr. Holt was very efficient and flexible. It is apparent he has a tremendous amount of knowledge on varieties of plants, trees etc. We will be happy utilizing him to complete some of his recommendations.
