Started out fine, ended in disaster. JAMES showed up for two days, disappeared for a couple of days, came back for a couple of days, then disappeared for a week saying his wife had been in a wreck in Canada. Came back again for two 1/2 days, then disappeared forever. In addition to items on the list, JAMES decided there were other items in the house that needed fixing and he proceeded to start those projects when I was in other areas of the house. For example: JAMES decided the marble surround on the fireplace needed re-caulking and gluing. He removed the marble and glued back one piece before he disappeared. JAMES decided we needed to completely replace all the tiles in the shower where he was supposed to caulk. JAMES started removing the floor tiles 2 days before Christmas. I didn't know anything about this until I heard horrendous banging upstairs and found that he had busted out 4 tiles from the floor - we had out-of-towners coming for the holiday, so I asked him to stop and replace the tiles. Needless to say we had 4 odd-colored tiles in the floor. JAMES decided we needed to spackle some dings and imperfections on our two-story living room walls(which we though looked fine and which we had NOT planned on painting). He spackled all over just the day before he disappeared for good. The things JAMES did "complete" were done poorly. The sliding door lock was repaired but re-mounted upside down. He installed dusk-to-dawn contols which never did work, and caused the lights to not even function when turned on with the switch. He "repaired" a bathroom faucet so that it was worse than when he started, and now needs to be completely replaced. Calls to the office were futile. The person answering the phone was very nice, but put in a bad spot by her very unprofessional boss . Only one call was returned initially, then nothing for two months until the supervisory person called to say that they had no obligation to us since they would not charge us for the things the handyman had actually done. Frustration turned to anger and we decided we would never want to deal with anyone from this company again. All of this mess occurred around Christmas of 08 and the early months of 09. I must accept some responsibility for the length of time spent on trying to resolve this issue as my husband and I are dealing with elderly parents in two different cities. I didn't submit a report until now because I really hadn't used Angie's list until the last few months. This reporting may be late, but it is accurate and the lack of professionalism and the failure of this company to stand behind the work of one of their employees is shocking and disappointing. My husband and I own our own business and would not treat ANY customer in this fashion.

Company very responsive. I worked with Dan who was professional, always called on time. Completed the project on schedule. I am very satisfied with the work.

I called the Handyman Connection to repair the doors. The serviceman (Eric Sizemore) came at the appointed time, gave me an estimate and performed the door repair as requested. He explained to me how Handyman works and shared with me their company book outlining their services and guarantee. He provided the estimate and I agreed. He did a great job. I'm totally satisfied and appreciate his expertise and professionalism.

It went great. He was able to come out right away and I felt like he went above and beyond the call of duty to get the door working again. In the end I needed to call a garage door company because he could not guarantee that it would last because the track was bent. The price was extremely reasonable.

JUST LOOKING TO DO A LITTLE REMODELING - ALL WENT WELL.

He was fantastic. Very good about calling back. Very polite. It took longer to install the lights then he thought and he didn't charge any extra. He was good about clean up when he finished.

I called to set the date and time for an estimate. The receptionist on the phone was pleasant and gave me an appointment for the same day. The person who performed the work gave me an estimate which I authorized. He left to buy the materials needed. He did the work in a short time and told me to call if there were any problems. The work on the sink required a return to fix a small leak. He replaced the part with a different one and it is working fine. I checked this Company out on Angie's List before selecting them and I cross checked with the Better Business Bureau. My only negative comment is that I think the work is a bit pricey, but I chose to use them because of the ratings on this list and the BBB. I will hire them to do additional work for me this Fall.

I set up an appt. for an estimate, told the person I first spoke with (not Ms. West) that there was a lock box on the property and the estimator could go on in. They called and were running behind and could not make it to perform the estimate.The second day I was told that I needed to be onsite for the estimate. I work and cannot sit for a two hour window to get an estimate on a vacant property. The estimator did call me after 5 and we talked ane he was very nice (Mike) and the work was estimated. I had however, received a nasty voicemail from Ms. West that she had requested that I be onsite and I wasn't. My son called her the next day to inquire about the estimate and she first went on a tirade to him about the fact that I was not onsite for the estimate. He asked her to fax the estimate. On the fax cover sheet was again reiterated that I was not onsite. I found it very rude and unprofessional. I have had several estimates without my supervision. The estimate was comparitively high.

I felt they did a good job. They were very punctual and the work was done satisfactory. I would recommend this company to family and friends.
