We knew this enormous repair was coming for a long time. When we decided it was time to get it done, we called all the major foundation repair people in the area. About half of those showed up to give us an estimate - the rest gave us the run around. One national company came out three times and still didn't give us an estimate. This is a common repair in our neighborhood, so we started asking around and Jack Goodrum's name kept coming up. After we called him, he showed up promptly, told us what he needed to do and got us an estimate quickly. We were very impressed by Jack's crew through the whole process. They showed up when they said they would, did the job well and didn't leave a mess. Jack was around daily to supervise the work. They completed the job in the originally estimated time frame (!!!). Not only did Jack and his crew do an excellent job, on time and on budget, but he has consistently gone above and beyond. When the front yard settled some after some heavy rains (leaving a negative slope to the house which could cause more foundation damage), Jack came back and regraded the yard. After many repairs and several large remodeling projects, Jack is the first contractor that we have worked with with whom we have really been satisfied. He gave us a reasonable price, finished the work on time, was very professional and did excellent work. We would highly recommend him to anyone needing general construction work done.
