Goodin Lawncare

I don't like or typically write bad reviews, however this is a very poorly run "company". I used them for 2 seasons for lawn care and sprinkler maintenance. Their price for weekly lawn service was more than 50% higher per week than what I currently pay, and there were times I was billed for service that was not provided. They also replaced a sprinkler control and had to be called back to do the job properly (wires were not in conduit, rather he left exposed wires wrapped in electrical tape). Finally, the "last straw" was last winter when we had very cold weather. I contacted them to ask about when they were going to come winterize the sprinklers as it was getting cold and I did not hear from them ; the owner gave me a timeframe when they would be out but failed to do the job in that timeframe (of two weeks). I came home one day to a cracked main sprinkler line with water flooding the yard. When I contacted them, Nathan was defensive and made excuses as to why it wasn't done in time (stated the freeze was unexpected...however anyone who had been outside could tell it was winter, and I contacted them to see if they could do the job in a timely manner. Had they been honest with the timeframe, I would have found someone else to do the job before we had freezing weather!). The initial repair was a few hundred dollars. Then I had a pleasant surprise this spring when the backflow valve/meter failed inspection. I had another company take a look at it, and several of the internal valves were cracked from freezing...which cost me another $450. With so many other similar companies out there, I would avoid this one!
