It went great! Jim was very professional and I will definitely use them again for other work I need. Also, he was easy to get on the phone and was able to come to our house in 2 days. I was impressed!

Initially, everything went well. Jim came out and gave me his costs and estimate of time to perform the work I needed done once he took a look at everything. On December 1 in the morning, I received a phone call from another man to say that he was going to come out that day to make the repairs. I was shocked that they were trying to give me 1 hour notice. As it happened, I had family in town visiting after Thanksgiving and told the man that I needed a little more notice than that and that it would be impossible for him to come that day. We set up an appointment for 9:00 the following Monday, December 6. I took the day off work and nobody ever showed up. I didn't bother calling when he was late and then I realized that he wasn't even going to show up -- I just found somebody else that I would prefer to work with in the future.

The work is great. The workman cleaned up well, and was very friendly. I couldn’t ask for a better worker.

Good experience but I get the feeling it depends on the guy they send over. Our serviceman was polite, happy to educate, and worked briskly. They bill by the hour which can be dangerous but he was in and out and clearly not trying to milk the clock. Make sure you use the $25 card for first time users. Needed their help spur of the moment and they came out on a holiday which speaks volumes. A well organized small business.

Classic Handyman Co. were wonderful. They were very attentive. We had trouble with timing at first and so we both had to reschedule once. I had contact with two different people while the job was going on. They were good at communicating which was a little difficult since I work during the day. They patched up other small things while they were working as well.

He was real good. I spent about $500 on that work. He did excellent work. I got him off the website and I have been using him for 2 or 3 years.

They have been over twice in the last 4 years. I liked them but it is like a franchise. They use different guys and some of them are really good and others are not so good. When I get a good one I keep his name and ask for him when I call. They are pretty good about getting back to me.

They were fine to deal with, but the work they did was really bad. I had used them before and they were fine. I think it very much depends on the person they send and this person was very bad. I thought the price was a little high, but it would have been okay if they had not done such a bad job. My husband signed off on the work without really looking at it. Their professionalism seemed fine, they sent someone in a timely fashion though the estimate was not exactly accurate. I don't know how they would have been to deal with if we contacted them and told them about all the problems with the work.

They completed the task they were hired to do. They did the minimum required and seemed a little pricey, but they did do the job. Overall, it was an okay experience. ***Wanted to note that the team at Classic Handyman followed up with several calls regarding the work they had done to ensure satisfaction. When noting that perhaps I was just "okay" with the job they were really professional, respectful and interested to know how they could improve anything related to the work, experience or service. I've upgraded my rating, based on this very professional, attentive customer service. Nice folks, certainly worthy of a bid.

Very efficient. Offered my options on repairing fan and worked with local hardware store to refund money on original fan.

I thought the price was quite reasonable for what they did and the men they sent were great. They really seemed to know what they were doing, they were very polite and easy to have in the house, and they were even nice to my cat! They did a nice, neat job on everything, and cleaned up perfectly after. I have no complaint and will definitely use them again.

Water would cascade out of gutters during rainfall; otherwise, filled with debris and standing water. Jim came out, cleaned them up and provided some necessary repairs. Exceptionally reasonable pricing. This is clearly a business built on customer satisfaction.

There was a lot of drama involved. I would not use them again. It was really a bad ordeal. The work started out great! The quality of the work was good. The owner was really nice in the beginning, but then it turned sour about midway through. He kept calling and coming up with excuses of why he couldn't come out and finish it. He then called and said he had to put someone in front of us because their damage was more severe. They re-scheduled, and then called again to re-schedule! It turned in to one thing after another. They would schedule something and then I would take off of work so I could be here, and then they wouldn't show up. In the end he tried to change his price from the original quote. I told him I wasn't paying anymore than what he had originally told me. He said he had to go out and buy some paint, even though he had already bought it. He was just kind of clueless. It took so long to get the work finished. He wanted me to give him the money until the work was finished. I agreed to pay him half of the total since I thought that half of the work had been done. I told him I would not pay the full amount until the work was finished to my satisfaction. It was almost like he got me to like him and secure the work, and then it turned shotty. I thought the pricing was good. He had to do two things; one he did a beautiful job on, and the other he hurried through to complete it and get out of here! He was always late when he said he was coming. Sometimes he would be up to two hours late. He started out very professional, but in the end he went south.

Handyman arrived on time. Worked very quickly and didn't waste time. Was very confident about his ability to fix items and actually fixed them. Very professional and cleaned up thoroughly.

Jim Peatman and his crew has done work for me on and off for a number of years. They have done jobs as small as fixing an electrical outlet to a major remodel on my entire house - both inside and out. They are always punctual, congenial, trustworthy, and competant. The few times I wasn't completely happy with something, Jim made sure that it was fixed and I was happy. As far as I'm concerned, there is no one better! I really appreciate the fact that as a single woman I have someone I can trust to help me.

They were very punctual and friendly. They did a great job. I would definitely use them again in the future. They charged about a hundred dollars an hour for their services.

My friend has a condo and the condo association had discovered that the half-bath toilet was leaking into the crawl space and the moisture was rotting a beam. They also discovered that the condensation line from the air conditioner was dripping into the crawl space and causing it to be wet. The service man, Jim, came out promptly, talked to the customer and myself, and then crawled under the crawl space 3 times to verify what needed to be done. He was wonderful to talk with and understood that the situation completely. He gave an estimate and we booked the job. He took care of both problems within a week.

I had recently bought an old home (built in 1940) and it needed lots of repairs and remodeling done. One of the big jobs was a complete bathroom remodel. I found Classic Handyman on Angie's List and contacted them. Jim came out and looked at the bathroom and gave me some possibilities. I wasn't really sure what kind of bathroom I wanted at that point and I like the fact that Jim had plenty of thoughts and ideas to share. Once we agreed on the direction we wanted to go (sort of a rustic look with stone tile) and a price, Jim put together a plan of action and sent one of his main guys, Kevin, out the very next day. Kevin was great -- a hard worker and creative and easy to get along with. We went to a hardware store and he was glad to help me pick out some of the necessities: sink, toilet, bathtub, etc. Jim and Kevin both wanted to make sure that I purchased the items I really wanted, but they were also glad to give their opinions whenever I needed some advice. I have a fairly small bathroom, but we were able to create something that had a relaxed, unique vibe in addition to being rustic. I'll admit that I'm not very good at interior decorating, but Kevin was especially good at helping me pick out colors and choose things that matched. Kevin gutted and rebuilt the bathroom pretty much by himself and did a great job of putting it all together. After the bathroom remodel was complete, I noticed a couple of little things that needed to be touched up. I contacted them and Kevin came back out and took care of it. Jim said that they would stand by their work and he wanted to make sure that I was happy. Overall, I'm very pleased with how the bathroom turned out and I'm glad I chose Classic Handyman. Jim and Kevin definitely know their stuff. I highly recommend them and will no doubt be calling on them again in the near future.

Kevin called prior to arriving (less than 1/2 an hour after the appointed time. He was very courteous and told me prior to starting that the whole job should take about an hour. It did. He cleaned a massive accumulation of leaves from the gutters; flushed them and also flushed all of the downspouts to make they were not blocked.

The owner came and gave me a quote and talked me through what he planned to do. Once accepted, the job was done the next day. No problems except that it seemed a little pricey. However, I have nothing to compare it to, so it may be right on target for the service.

Excellent job. In most places you can't even tell that it's newly-done work. I called other handymen but this is the only place where the person I talked to on the phone understood exactly what I needed, instead of somebody just taking messages to pass on to other workmen. Later, when I talked to Steve, it was apparent that he was well-experienced with this kind of work. I thought his price quote seemed a little high, but the job ended up taking a lot longer than I thought it would, so I am satisfied with the value and especially with the quality of work.

The people who did this work for me were very pleasant to work with. They were extremely prompt and they basically did what I told them to do. The installation wasn't an easy task, but they did a very good job and finished the work in 2 days. The price was well worth it.

After you use this company, they give you a $25 off coupon for the next service. I thought that was nice. They also called me two days later to make sure everything was okay. They did an excellent job and showed up on time.

I've hired Classic Handyman several times and they never disappoint me. I would recommend them to anyone because they are reliable and do great work. They are very professional.
