Blue Sky Painting Company

The project went very well. It took a little while for them to get started due a to a busy schedule and some weather delays (I had told them that we were on no particular timeline and that they could do it when most convenient for them). I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently they worked. He told me that he could get the interior done in one week. I didn't believe him since other painters had told me 2-3 weeks. His guys were there from 6 AM to 6 PM for 7 days straight and got the job done. My only criticism was that they got paint on the windows and doorknobs in some areas, but given the price and reliability, that was easy to forgive. Joe is very professional. He gave me a spreadsheet with estimates for each room, broken down into estimates for each part of the room (ceiling, walls, trim, prep, supplies) so that I could pick and choose my priorities to fit my budget. I told him that I needed to exclude a couple of interior rooms due to budget and he painted some of them anyways for no extra charge. He went over budget on supplies for the exterior but told me that he would not charge me for them because he wanted to honor the estimate. I paid him anyway given that his estimate was 25% lower than 2 others that I received.

Great! Got their name off Angie's list and scheduled a time for a quote. Bought the paint earlier (sale!). Joe had to have all paint colored and some replaced. Advised that he could have saved us money by him making the purchase. Showed up on time with crew of 4-5 and finished in half a day. Missed a bit of floor molding and gladly came to do it later. Would gladly refer anyone to him again!!

Mr. Joe Johnson, owner, came out to give me the estimate and promised me his best sheetrock person, James Campbell. They both came the day promised and on time. Mr. Johnson helped to set everything up and then let Mr. Campbell apply his art. It took all day but looks very nice. I will both use them again and recommend them to others. Thanks Angie's List for making them known to me.

Joe Johnson gave me an excellent quote and set a scheduled date to sart work. He and his crew of eight showed up on time and began the work. All of the workmen were experienced, (all had years of experience) professional and great to work with. They did the prep work and paitned the entire house. There are 9 differnet colors and some high ceilings to deal with. They finished on time and cleaned up completely when they left. They were the most professional company to deal with. I highly recommend them and I will be using them in the future for some exterior work on my home.

Blue sky responded very quickly and professionally. Joe Johnson came the next day and gave a fair estimate. We set up a time to complete the job. His team came right on time and finished very quickly (less than 3 hours!). I was very pleased with them and plan on using and recommending them as well! They may be slightly more expensive than other quotes, but I believe you get what you pay for...prompt, preofessional service with your satisfaction guaranteed! Great experience!

Excellent response time. Within 5 days after my request the Work was completed in one day by two men. Very professional all around. Blue Sky will be my only Painter.

Joe was very quick to schedule the initial estimate and the day the work was scheduled, he & his crew arrived on time and finished the entire project in one day. Everything looks great!! We will definitely use Blue Sky again.

Had several estimates from Angie's List painters and settled on Blue Sky. I got a cheaper estimate from another company but didn't feel as comfortable with them as I was with Joe and co. Blue Sky has several crews of painters and was incredibly flexible with the scheduling. They came out a week after the estimate and hammered it out in one morning with a four-man crew. Joe matched some colors we liked and it came out EXACTLY as we wanted it. The guys at our house were friendly, appreciative, and very professional. I will always use Blue Sky for painting projects in the future.

They are the most professional painters we have ever used. They do everything right and we thought they were reasonably priced.

Joe came out the day after I contacted him for a free estimate. He was extremely professional from the beginning and told him I could call at any hour with any questions about the job. He told me he would get the job done in 1-2 days which I was shocked by but sure enough his team basically got the job done in only 1 day. Even though they were efficient, the quality was also excellent - the house really looked beautiful. Joe completely stuck to his estimate. He did not take any money before the job and said he would not accept a dime until I was 100% satisfied. He always answered his phone when I called and was patient with all my questions. He even came back a second time before starting the job to go through all the paint colors and rooms. I would highly recommend Blue Sky Painting to others and would not hesitate to use them again.

They are five times an A in everything. They did everything right. This house is 85 years old and all plaster. It looks brand new. It is amazing. Their pricing is always reasonable. They are proud to be Americans and they work great. They do whatever you ask them to do. When they painted a room, I had picked out the color and I picked the wrong one. They painted it and then when I found out it was wrong and it was my fault, they went back and repainted it the color I wanted. They were patience. We are just thrilled. You cannot have a better company. Before them we had only problems and nightmares. Joe Johnson is the owner.

The men were extremely professional, did a wonderful job and were very fast. They put all of the furniture back in the original position and were extremely clean.

Joe was very timely with initial estimate, job costs, ect. His crew worked hard and was respectful and professional. The job took two days (just as he said it would), and they cleaned up after themselves nicely.

Now, there is one catch to this totally positive experience. Joe Johnson left American Pride before performing our painting and did the job under his new company, Blue Sky Painting. He is the one who earned all the positive reviews while operating with a partner as American Pride. Please bear this in mind. My initial contact with Joe Johnson was through Angie's List under the name American Pride Painting. I could not get a response from my phone calls and sent an email expressing doubt about their glowing reviews. Joe responded to my email while he was on vacation. He apologized for his partner's failure to cover for him and promised to make up for it. Upon his return from vacation, Joe dissolved the partnership and opened up as Blue Sky Painting. He has proved to me that HE is the reason American Pride has such a high rating on Angie's List. He and his crew showed up on time, were very professional, and totally thorough in preparation. They rescued us from a horrible job done by a previous painter (see our review on Mike Faulkner Painting). We have never shopped by price only; quality is our first consideration. We had just about given up on finding anyone who would actually perform up to our expectations at a fair price. Mr Johnson under ANY company name, is the real deal. Please do yourself a favor and benefit from our past bad experiences. If you need any painting done, DON'T consider using anyone other than Joe Johnson. I had never met or heard of Joe Johnson prior to this and this is my honest opinion on him based upon the job he did in our home of over 27 years.

EXCELLENT WORK, ALWAYS ON TIME, VERY COURTEOUS. EVERYTHING WAS PLACED WHERE IT BELONGED WHEN THEY FINISHED. I HAVE HAD AMERICAN PRIDE BACK TO PAINT THE REMAINDER OF THE DOWNSTAIRS. ONCE AGAIN, IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY WITH NO RESERVATIONS.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Joe came for an estimate the day after I first contacted him. He was helpful and thorough in our meeting, letting me know exactly what I could expect from their company. He gave me a detailed estimate within several hours. The price was substantially less than other estimates I had gotten, which would have made me suspicious, had I not been so impressed with Joe's professionalism in our meeting. I decided to trust my gut and hired them. They scheduled the job exactly when I needed it done, about a week after our initial meeting, and finished the whole house it in three and a half days, which was the amount of time Joe had originally predicted. Woody, who supervised the job at my house, was great to work with, very helpful and efficient. On Day Two of the job, I freaked out and decided I hated two of the colors I had chosen. Woody didn't bat an eye, helped me pick new colors, and still got the job done right on time. Joe contacted me after the job was finished to ask if any touch-ups were needed and scheduled a visit to fix the (very) few areas I had noted immediately. All in all, a great job by a conscientious and hard-working company. I have received nothing but compliments on my "new" house.

If I had to describe American Pride Painting in one word it would be WOW!!! Joe, Woody, and their crew came in like a whirlwind and painted a major portion of the inside of my house in one day, completing the job ahead of schedule. This was a huge thing because they knew this was very important to us. Additionally, we were astounded by the price, very reasonable for the amount of work that was done. This too is important because they were billing us per man, by the hour. Obviously we were skeptical, but because of the great reviews on Angie's List we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Again, for the quality and sheer amount of work they did they are a great value. Last but not least, after they finished and were gone we found a few things that were missed by us (not them). We called and they setup a time at our convenience and had someone come right back out. It's great to work with such professionals. Again, the key thought here is WOW!

Joe and his crew do a great job and I'm sorry it has taken me so long to report - they have painted several rooms for me over the course of 6 months, including several ceilings and a bathroom that I could not get the color choices correct. Joe gave a very reasonable estimate for the work done; they are always on time; and they have been able to squeeze me in when I needed painting done quickly.

Joe was very responsive to my estimate request and was able to come out in person on the date I requested. He was able to accommodate our schedule and complete the job in less than 4 days. In fact, he and his team worked on Saturday and Sunday to complete the job before Christmas Eve. They were awesome and did a great job. After the holiday, we called them back to touch-up some places. Joe and his team immediately came out and fixed any issues with no problem at all. I would highly recommend as Joe and his team did a great job. Very professional and dependable. Great qualities in a contractor that are often rare to find.

I called American Pride Painting, and within 24 hours got Joe to come out and give an estimate. He was easy to reach, and quick to respond. The crew was on time and done with time to spare! They were clean and even when the color went up and I thought it could be going a little too yellow, they offered to help me tint the second coat a little darker if I wanted. They helped me move my furniture back and my husband and i were back on the couch enjoying tv that very night. I cannot say enough about Joe Johnson and his team. It was a job very well done.
