Blue Sky Painting Company

After doing my due diligence in getting three different quotes, Blue Sky Painting was not only the most affordable but available to do the job almost immediately. They were in and out in a little over three days & extremely easy to work with. Joe and his crew were knowledgable, prompt and curteous. Mr. Johnson made sure we were happily satisfied before accepting any payment. He offered over and again to call if we noticed any touch-ups or redo's that needed to be done. I will absolutely recommend them and use them for any future projects.

They met my scheduling needs, worked efficiently, and cleaned up well. The color of paint was dark, and they made sure the coverage was even. It looks good. The cost included both the paint and labor.

Joe Johnson is wonderful! I'd hire him again and again!! He is friendly, knowledgeable, quick, and reasonably priced. I got taken by a drunken (con-man) of a painter, and then I wised up and consulted Angie's List! I saw all the great reviews for Blue Sky/Joe Johnson and I knew he was the one to go with. I called him on a Thursday and he was out to my townhouse early Saturday morning and had the entire job completed by Sunday! He had quoted me a price that was mid-ranged compared to two other painters I had contacted for estimates. When I was a little apprehensive about the cost, he lowered it and was still professional and friendly about the negotiations. I was pleasantly surprised! He does business the way it should be done! His quality of work is great! All drywall repairs, including a part of the downstairs ceiling, matched perfectly and looked excellent! He asked if I needed any touch-ups, but I didn't. He also sent me an invoice via email, as I requested, due to this townhouse being my rental property. I was able to pay him over the phone with my credit card a week after services were performed. Overall it was a good experience and I did a lot of research on Angie's List before I decided on Blue Sky Painting! I was very pleased with my choice!

A fantastic experience. The only small complaint was initially it was hard to pin Joe down to get estimates and get a date locked in. I know he and the team are extremely busy - so just a bit of advice to stay after him if you don't hear back. We got 3 estimates and one was about the same as Joe's, and the other was twice as much. Neither could come as early as Joe or finish as quickly, so we chose Blue Sky. Once we set the date the team showed up on time and finished on time even being a little bit short-handed (not their fault). They finished the entire job in 3 days which was amazing. They did a great job of protecting all of our furniture and valuables while they worked, and cleaned up everything once they were done. The quality of the work was spot on and the team members were are all extremely friendly. We had to bring them back once to do some touch-ups on spots that we missed in the final inspection, and it was absolutely no issue to get them back to finish the job. Highly recommended

Blue Sky Painting was excellent from start to finish. I called them around 9:00 one morning and they were on-site giving me an estimate later that day. Despite the chandelier in the way and the high ceiling in the main staircase, Blue Sky Painting was able to do the job without scaffolding and without us having to take the chandelier down. They carefully covered the chandelier, our wood floors and furniture. The team that did the actual work was excellent. They were great about cleaning up after the job was done and helping to move furniture back. Blue Sky Painting will be the painters I call when future projects arise.

When I called, Joe came by within an hour and gave me an estimate. I found it to be very reasonable. He gave me a date and time. His crew showed up on time and worked all day on the project. Joe stopped by often to check on the work. There was no mess left behind. I had one small problem and Joe fixed it himself. I was very impressed. I plan on using them again in the future.

Despite the fact that Joe from Blue Sky was late to the bid appointment, we decided to use him. Until, that is, my husband clarified what was included in the bid, and Joe sent the following e-mail (copied verbatim): From: blueskypainting@comcast.net To: ***********@hotmail.com Subject: Re: RE: Date: Sat, 20 Aug 2011 15:27:18 -0500 Yes Mr. [last name removed], the garage doors are also included in the the bleaching. As I have covered over and over again everything we have discussed is included for $730.00. Is there any other questions or do you want to get this scheduled before the fall rush starts and I no longer have time. Thanks Joe When my husband replied, he thanked Joe for making it so easy to select another contractor since it's obviously inappropriate and incredibly rude to respond to a potential client in such a manner. We used another contractor we found on Angie's List and were happy with their work.

Mr Johnson is the ultimate professional! I could not have asked for a better experience. He came in with Jason, who supervised the job and a crew of painters on Wednesday morning. They were neat, clean, efficient, and polite. They worked quickly and quietly, cleaning up as they worked. They finished up on Thursday leaving everything swept and cleaned. I would recommend Blue Sky Painting and Joe Johnson to anyone who wants a professional job done quickly and to perfection. This is the only painting company that I plan on using in the future. They are A+.

They were generally very good. I'd give them 9/10. They worked fast and they were very skilled painters. They didn't have to do any taping. There were some details they didn't discuss with me. They didn't remove hardware. They did a good job of painting around it but ideally they should've removed it.

Joe responded to the request immediately. Came out to meet with us and called to let us know he'd be a few minutes late. Completed the work as requested and did not approach for payment until we had confirmed that we were happy with the job. Good work ethic.

Blue Sky Painting is the definition of customer service! Joe, the owner, came to my house the day I called and was able to start work right away. I had a small window of time to get my house painted, and they worked efficiently. Joe and his crew repaired and painted my walls for a great price. They were friendly and did impeccable work. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the area needing painting. Thank you to a great team of people!

I called the owner around lunchtime and left a message. He not only returned my call the same afternoon, but also was able to come out the same day and provide an estimate. I emailed him a couple of days later to schedule an appointment, and he was able to work me in within 2 weeks. The day of the appointment, 3 workers showed up on time and immediately began working. They repaired the drywall and patched all the nail holes before painting. It took about 7 hours to complete the job, and they only stopped working to take a lunch break. They did a great job, the owner was very easy to deal with, and we are very happy with the results.

The owner of the company came to our house the day after I contacted him to take a look at the job and give us a quote. The quote was excellent, half the price of another company who came by. He said it would be a few weeks before they could get to it because they were so busy, but he called just a few days later to say that they had an opening and could be there the next day. I requested No-VOC paint, and he told me they generally use that on all of their jobs these days which was wonderful. The painter they sent showed up right on time. He completed the work in just a few hours and did a beautiful job. I was very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them.

Mr. Johnson met with me prior to scheduling the project to address any concerns that I might have as well as offer a price quote. The fact that he could arrange for several minor repairs to the house at the same time it was painted was very helpful and, along with his impressive work history and attention to detail, earned him the job. My house, porch and driveway were pressure washed two or three days prior to the painters showing up. That alone greatly improved the appearance of the house. I chose to stay with the same colors on the house and trim and Mr. Johnson was able to closely match those colors. The crew showed up bright and early, along with Mr. Johnson, and got to work immediately. I was greatly surprised that the entire job, repairs and all, was completed in one work day. What a pleasure to turn onto my street and see the difference a fresh coat of paint can make! I would highly recommend Blue Sky Painting for any and all painting needs!

I was amazed with their work. They did it quick, which I appreciate it, but there was literally somebody painting in every room of my house except the bedrooms. There were eight members. For three days, we were confined to the bedroom. They did a great job. The workers were really nice. They came when they said they would be here. They were willing to work. They were literally constantly painting some part of each room. For the first when they gave me a quote, I was surprised at their price for the amount of work that they had to do. I had a new carpet in my entire upstairs and downstairs, they did an amazing job with painting. They did not spill paint on my carpet and they did not cover my carpet from anything while painting and it just amazed me. I would use their service in the future too.

The work turned our great. They came in and added what we needed added. It was at a great price and they did what we needed them to do.

My interactions with the employees were genereally fine. The job was so big they had to bring in a large staff with a wide range of skill levels. They seemed to work mostly unsupervised. It seemed that the company was having some internal issues and those issues showed up in the quality of the work.

I set an appointment with Joe Johnson of Blue Sky Painting, specifically telling him I would have to drive 30 each way to meet him at the job location, so he should call if there was any problem. He failed to show up at the appointment time, calling 30 minutes later saying "he forgot", but if I waited he'd definitely come within another 30-40 minutes. So I waited, only to waste another hour of my time before he called saying he wasn't going to show up at all. Still he wanted to arrange for another time, but wasn't willing to come on a Saturday at anytime because it wasn't going to be convenient for him. I would find someone else more trustworthy.

I found this company to be pleasant to deal with and professional, but I was not pleased with the work they did. They did not meet my expectations in sanding out and/or repairing flaws in the walls and trim. They returned to fix a few errors, but I couldn't tell an appreciable difference and even found a spot of trim that wasn't painted at all, even after two visits. They also left small spatters of paint on the hardwood floors. On the positive side, the workers were punctual, quick and efficient, and the owner was responsive and willing to make things right. Nevertheless, I expect professionals to do the job right the first time, and that didn't happen this time around.

Joe Johnson of Blue Sky came out and gave me a quote on the work I needed done. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The quote was right on with the final cost. The workmen that came out were knowledgeable, courteous, prompt, and cleaned up well after the work was done.

Their quote was the best price compared to others who came in to quote the project. I was very pleased. There were a few, small side projects that I wanted them to do (such as small carpentry projects). They used a sub-contractor for that project. This took a bit longer than I had anticipated. They men who came to paint in my home were very professional, on time and friendly. They worked quickly.

Whenever I have painting to be done they are going to do it because I like the fact that he came out and what he told me is before he took any money I had to look at it and tell him I was 100% satisfied and I like that attitude. One wouldn't get people that do that any more. I am going to have him do the painting. I had several quotes and he was least expensive, mid range and nobody else told me that I would have to be 100% satisfied before they took payment for it. I was impressed. He told me he would be here at a certain time and gave me his quote and e-mailed it to me as well. I looked on writing list and at that time he had 100% writing and I don't know if he still does or not, but satisfaction and reports are still going on. He was very good at getting back to me. He was very punctual and very professional. He knew his job and what was expected of him and he expected to do it to the best of his ability. He knew that he did a good job and let me know he did a good job. He also told me that he would be at a 100% rating for Angie's List because he intended to do that good a job all the time.

It went very well. painters were very neat, courteous and cooperative. Joe Johnson is very professional, trustworthy and dedicated to pleasing the customer. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Had entire interior of house repainted, multiple colors (I think 11 in total). Completed the job quickly (3 days) and on budget; treated our furniture, drapes and paintings with excellent care, cleaned up daily so minimal disruption to the household, came when they said they would and did a beautiful job. Have already recommended them to several friends. Will use them again when the exterior needs paint.
