It thought they kind of charge something big so I think I would not use them again. I don't like what they did. Two people worked really hard and I paid for $99 so that was okay but they asked my permission to bring sales person because one of them said that my air conditioner wasn't working well.

The techs are always friendly and courteous. They appear knowledgeable and always explain what needs to be done. My only complaint is they always try to sell some add on tho your system.

We would never ever use them again. It was about 4 years ago when we had a clogged drain and they advertised that they would clear drains for $59. We called them and my wife was home that day. When she got home, she said they had charged us $700 for the problem. They sent some people out and one of them obviously was very good at sales and he told my wife that if he clears the drain, it would get clogged again but if he changes all the plumbing inside, it would never ever get clogged again. She believed him and they replaced the plumbing under the drain.

They were just okay. I had purchased the Big Deal of $39 for video inspection and drain cleaning. There was the video thing and they did not do that, they said that don’t have that. They were trying to up sell me on something else which needed to be replaced. At the end of the day I did not know whether I needed it or not. I just thought it wasn’t worth it. The guy was professional but did not understand why the video segment was included in the Big Deal because they don’t do that. Probably I would not use them again.

The guy was really nice but they did not do the video service as they claimed they could not find the main drain outside of my home. They were thorough and the customer service was good. They were timely with the service. I did feel like he should have been able to find the drain. I would consider using them for a different type of plumbing service in the future.

It was a temporary solution and is currently have same problem. They were at the house for 40 minutes and 1 guy came out. Was very professional and on time. Had used them years ago but used for the Angie's Deal. Guy that came out did a fine job. Would not recommend to family and friends. Thinks that there may be a better company out there.

Good job, just hate paying that much.

The deal turned out pretty well, but it turned out that I needed a whole new system. They were helpful in explaining why I needed to get it replaced, and I’d recommend them to others.

We had a toilet back up into our shower Friday evening and had a technician from ARS come out that evening to help. We knew that we would have to pay an additional charge for the after hours service, but were somewhat taken aback by the plumber telling us that removing the toilet was "an extra $200." Seriously?! Not feeling like we had any other recourse, we agreed to the impromptu added fee and he pulled the toilet. He brought in a gigantic auger, damaging the carpet on our front porch, the doorframe to the bathroom, and leaving permanent marks on our bathroom tile floor. I had to help steady the machine as it worked, as it was swaying back and forth and knocking into walls. I watched in horror as the machine flung sewage onto our walls and ceiling as it worked. I can't say for certain that it was the fault of the plumber, but I didn't expect that to be a part of the process. The machine he brought was too big to clean the line from inside, so he had to return the next day with a smaller machine. No time was stated, as he said that he had several other jobs the next day. He also left us with a bathtub full of sewage that night, and dumped the contents of his shop vac in there before he left. Annoyingly, he did not call with any advance warning and we were 30 minutes across town when he informed us that he was out front of our door. Fortunately, however, he was able to begin work outside without us, as he had to break through our main drain line in order to auger in from that direction. Ultimately he was able to clear the drain, and he patched our outside line and reseated the toilet. When the bill came, there were a couple brief sentences describing the work performed and then a single (large) number--the total due. No breakdown of labor hours, no additional fees incurred, no tax, etc. It was hard at that point to believe that I was being charged fairly. Bottom line, while the line was ultimately cleared (I think--we discovered today that our washer won't drain and I think there may be an additional blockage elsewhere in our lines...) some of the practices I encountered just didn't sit right with me and I felt like I was being taken for a ride to an extent.

Tech (???) arrived 1 hour late to work on a sewer odor in my bedroom. He inspected and found nothing obvious and then suggested the best way was to smoke test the plumbing system. This had to be done from a vent in the roof. The tech did not have a ladder to get to the roof. I lent him my ladder. One small wisp of smoke found in the master bath. Tech removed commode and found slight crack in the flange. He did the repairs after he had to go to Home Depot and buy parts. So far so good. Plumber with no ladder and no parts... Now he suggests I take advantage of the special deal for air purification system installed on my blower vents. Since I was not convinced the fix on my toilet would work, I decided to go ahead so I would at least be experiencing purified air, supposedly. The unit seems to be good, but I was suckered on the price paid. total cost of the plumbing was $400. and the new device was $1700. I got this price after negotiateing down from 2700. How lame was I ? 3 weeks later I hear the manager, on his Saturday morning radio show, explaining that Home Depot has been running a special for the whole month of November for the same unit at $699 installed. Why did they hide this from me on the service call? I feel this company is deceptive in their business with the ordinary consumer and out to gouge. To top it off, the tech and his helper left my ladder laying in the front yard for me to put away. Stay away from this company.

purchased a Angie's list deal, $49 to have a drain cleaned. As it turned out, it was calcium build up from the local hard water in our area. All he did was take a metal pipe and scraped it clean. If I knew that was all needed I could have done it, in essence I guess I learned to clean a pipe for $49

Suggested getting new one at a cost of 4 to 6 hundred dollars. I said no and gave him $99 for his effort. I found a good one at home depot for under 100 dollars and installed it myself. Also, He left in the middle of the job to do another job. Not too professional.

We needed our main line replaced. They gave us a quote that was more than twice the cost of another reputable, well respected plumber. Then they tried to get us to replace our HVAC so the cost would go over $10,000 and get better financing. We went with another company and were offered 0% interest. That wasn't even an option with Rescue Rooter. They tried to play on fears and our lack of knowledge on plumbing. We hire them to help us and instead they try to prey on us. It was worth the Angie's $49 scope deal though. Wouldn't hire them any other way.

UNSTOPPED A TROUBLESOME SINK DRAIN.

The plumber was prompt and prepared and gave us a quote to complete the work as we had directed him to do. There was a bit of miscommunication on our part and he left without performing any work. One call to the office manager got everything squared away however and he promptly returned to replace the shower fixtures in one bathroom. We are very please with the work as performed. Wehave a quote to do the other bathroom and if we proceed with that will likely call ARS back to perform that work.

During the plumbing inspection, the ARS Plumber informed me it would cost as much to fix our current commode as it would be to buy a new one...so we ran to Home Depot and purchased a new one. Before I left to buy it, I initialled for $79 and then got a bill for $379 when he was done !! The $49 I paid to Angies List did not go towards the repair either. Home Depot told me they would have installed it for me for $125 When the job was done he left the old toilet sitting on my front yard and drove away. I had to call ARS and have them send him back to dispose of it. Then we were told not to use the new toilet for 12 hours so the grout around the base could dry. The next morning we went to try it, and it didn't flush right or fill back up with water. We called ARS, they sent out another plumber who said it was a problem with the new toilet not the work, and wanted another $125 to fix it. He finally fixed it for free( I am not kidding when I tell you, he walked into the bathroom and 15 seconds later walked out and said it's fixed ) My best advice to anyone is to make 100% sure you know what they plan to charge you for the job on the front end. I used ARS about year ago to install a new heat and air unit, and was very pleased with their work...will never ever call or recommend ARS for plumbing again. Also they spend as much time trying to convince you to buy a "service plan" as they do actually getting the work done.

I fully explaining the job on the phone and sent pictures for clarification. I was assured that the plumber would get my picture and have the correct cut-off valves for the job. Upon arrival, I was quoted $365 for the job. He had not seen my picture and knew nothing about Angie's List. After a long call to the office, I was told my job was going to cost an extra $229 in addition to the coupon. When I refused this, they did half of what needed to be done ( it took 20 minutes) and installed miss matched cutoff valves! The plumber told me he had the correct parts before he started the work and once the work was finished, he said did not re-stock his truck that morning and made due with what he had.

The installation went well but the price was much too high. The tech said he was giving us a discount without the Angie list coupon. After I question him more he said the price was better than the coupon. I ask what the price would be without the coupon and said $ 245.00. I next ask why the bill is a $ 185.00 the coupon said a $ 100.00 worth of work for $50.00. Than the tech produce a price book that stated the work would be $311.00 on the regular price. I think the work should have be done for at most an $ 100.00 extra

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out fine. They put it in the ground and then showed me the results so it was really good. He was a real gentleman.

We didn't like it at all. For $49, we're getting a $300 value for them to clean the pipes and stuff and they couldn't do that. The guy that came out he said it was kind of misleading so they can't do it with the pipes straight. He went under the house and he said there was a leak under the house and it was too muddy for him to go under there, he didn't do anything about the drain and he said he'd come back on Saturday and we paid $175 to trying to fix the leak. I called somebody else and they came out, there's no leak under the house, and I got the drains cleaned for $89. I wasn't happy with him at all. I won't use him again. They were punctual. It would have been a good deal if they did what they said they were going to do.
