Making the appointment was hard in itself. I called once and made my appointment right away. Within 15 minutes, I needed to change the time, called back and they had no idea who I was or of my account. This happened two different times with some people being able to bring up my account right away and another having no record of my scheduled services, blaming the trouble on Home Depot. On the day of my scheduled appointment, I was given a 1:00 appointment time. At 2:45, when they had still not shown up, I called for them to tell me that it was actually a window range and they would be there around 3. At 4:45, when they had still not shown up, I called. Many excuses given, once again, they were on their way. Long story short, the plumber showed up at 8:45 pm and left at 11:00 pm. Work performed by plumber was great, but I felt bad for the guy that the company treated him like this. Horribly managed. Wouldn't recommend using.

He just did an inspection. I felt like he over estimated and it didn’t require going through the wall. I just felt that he showed uncertainty on what was to be done. Rather than assessing the factors that related to the cause he gave me a worst case scenario in going through the wall.
Description of Work: They gave me an estimate to replace cartage. The estimate was $263.67 which I thought was high.

They called and asked about coming out to perform a "tune-up" on our a/c for $59. There was nothing wrong with our a/c before the technician came out. The technician said the freon was "slightly" low and the only cause is there must be a leak. The cost to search for a leak $209. The cost to cure the leak if the unit is still under warranty $1,394 and no warranty $2,789. He did not provide an estimate or even ask if we wanted freon added. Called another company. He gave us pictures of the unit. He wrote that the coils were "filthy dirty" and that there were no leaks detected. Charge for searching for a leak $0. Charge for adding freon $35. Charge for cleaning the coils $50. Now mind you there was nothing wrong with the a/c prior to the technician coming out. Company refunded the $59.
Description of Work: I don't think they did anything for the $59 charge. They were supposed to do a "tune-up" but apparently that doesn't include cleaning any coils according to them.

They had to cancel on the first scheduled visit but promptly rescheduled. I was notified by phone with a friendly voice and courteous service. The technician arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and friendly. He did the first yearly service on the A/C and provided helpful advice. Great service all the way around!!

I want the paperwork that should come with it and it has been 3 weeks. I need to register the unit. I told them that if they aren't going to give me any paperwork on the unit, that they can just come and remove the unit. They said OK and hung up. I called them again to ask AGAIN about the paperwork. They said it was on their schedule to come and remove my unit. No one informed me of this, and they could not tell me if I was going to get a refund when they take the unit. They told me I would be informed by the person who arrives about whether or not I am going to get a refund. I either want my paperwork, or I want a refund for the unit I bought.
Description of Work: He came out and out in an air scrubber called Reme Halo.

They were okay. They did an okay job. After some time the disposal was making a vibrating noise, so I had another plumber come and fix it. He had put it in crooked and so it was vibrating. They try to sell you on this other stuff like your plumbing and your water is bad, and all those kinds of things. I said I was not interested. The price was the price because of Home Depo, I thought it was reasonable. The pricing was included. He was fine, he showed up and made the appointment pretty quickly. He was very professional, he wasn't rude or anything. ARS is a big company, and I think generally their prices are too high.
Description of Work: They installed a garbage disposal that I had purchased at Home Depo, and that is the person they refer. I didn't know anyone so I used them.

It went fine. We have a contract with them. Their responsiveness was good this time. I just think they charge too much. We pay so much a year just to have them do our air conditioning and plumbing. They're supposed to check your plumbing all the time and they don't do it. They checked it once when we first started and we've had them about five years and that's it. They don't do the plumbing check. They always come and do the air check but not the plumbing.

Did $2000 repair that did not work last fall approx. and then offered to replace unit for over $8000 and give partial credit. I balked and got it replaced for about half, I agree with the previous reviewer that got taken for $7500. I BEWARE

My wife trusted them because they acted nice fixed a few minor things in the past. Heat quit working so she gave me their number. They came out and recommmended a new unit $7500. Did not itemize parts and labor said that would show up later. After they were done, too late, we looked up the unit online. You can buy it retail for $2900. I've called them repeatedly for details, say they will email them but I never hear anything. They are total criminals, preying on honest peoples trust and good will. ALWAYS GET MULTIPLE ESTIMATES. Warn you friends to avoid this company, they are a bunch of theives.

The technician was prompt, courteous and thoroughly tested both bathrooms. Afterwards he explained that we needed to replace the toilets, because they were builder grade and poor quality. He didnt push buying the equipment from them, but gave the names of other stores, and we could have his company install if we liked. I will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: ARS checked the two toilets on the first floor, because we were getting poor flushing with one of them.

Positive experience from beginning to end. Appt was set up at a time that was convenient for me. Warren Piechocki arrived on time. He explained what needed to be done and handled it quickly. He gave me tips on how to prevent it from occurring again. Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous. I will definitely use this company again.

Scheduling an appointment is easy. They will come on the weekends, if needed. The workers are good and they know what they are doing. They also give you a chance to pay a yearly fee so you do not get charged extra when they come on off hours.

This is the third time we have had ARS out for plumbing issues within 4 months. This was the only repair; the other visits were to replace a water heater, to install a frost free outside faucet, and to replace old plumbing in the back of the bathtub. Ryan from that company did the installations and repair to our complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company.

It was a good service. They did it quickly. I was under a time crunch and they came over late in the day with not much notice. The plumber who came out was fine and he did try to sell me a 1 year warranty though.

I first encountered ARS through a Living Social or Groupon promotion, and everything turned out well which is why I hired them to install the new system. The installers did a great job, they clearly explained the work, and they acted courteously at all times. Furthermore, they were able to create a new exhaust vent in the wall just as I had wanted, and they didn't leave behind any messes. I also liked that they went through Home Depot to buy the new units because I was able to put the purchase on my Home Depot card. This allows me to pay in installments rather than all at once.

Scheduled an estimate and had to call and reschedule. New date and time was the 29th at 6pm. I do not live at the location where I was getting the estimate so gave my cell phone as the alt number to contact me. Went over at around 11 to get some work done on the unit while I waited (and had other appts scheduled) 6pm came and went no one showed. I finally called them at 6:45 and Heather argued the point they'd been trying to call and confirm the appointment all day, had made mulyiple alls to "several" numbers. Well in my mind nothing to confirm I was there, waiting but needless - I had no calls on my cell. Asked for a Manager to contact me - never heard back from anyone. They DID call.. and left 2 messages on my home phone which of course I was no where near ~ Just overall poor customer service....

I found someone to come look at the units and repair them the same day so I did not use ARS. I don't remember how long it took ARS to call me back, but it was not the same day. The delay in a return call was not necessarily terrible, it may have been the next day. (Although when your AC goes out in July, a same day return phone call would be nice). The problem is that now they have my cell phone number and won't stop calling about "service specials". It would be annoying enough, but they want to service AC units they know I just had repaired.
Description of Work: I called them to look at two AC systems that failed at the same time.

Had used ARS before and was treated fairly so called them again for a drain problem in the kitchen. Ryan one of their Plumbing Techs came over that afternoon and assessed the problem. He agreed to correct the problem but had to travel across town to meet with another employee to pick up the necessary tools to do the job correctly. It was already late in the day , but He returned shortly and finished up the Job .Very satisfied with the service and the price.

.They are professional and do good work, buy they play games with the price. Twice they quoted me a high price , and when I balked they gave me a lower price because it was on special that week in the first instance or because I was such a good customer in the second. I've since gone elsewhere and am satisfied with the work, and I pay less. I only remember the installation was last July and the service was done in the spring. They quoted a price of abound $6,000 for the air conditioner installed at first, but when I said I would seek other bids they gave it to me for $5,000. The same thing happened with their solution for a problem I was having with a heat pump. This time I went elsewhere.
Description of Work: He sold me an air conditioner, installed it and later serviced it.

We had went through Home Depot to make the appointment and ARS were over an hour late to come out and give us an estimate. That should have been my first clue. The salesman pitched a good sale, Said that we wouldn't be able to redo our insulation through them, based on what we were willing to finance but that everything else would be taken care of. Installation could be done the next day. That is probably the reason we went with ARS/Home Depot. Honestly, the Salesman, Grady was really pushy and talks down to you a bit. But I get that he is trying to sale HVAC systems. They came out the next day, worked on the installation. The workers were nice to my husband but seemed upset because they had to replace "half the duct work". When I he told me that, I went and looked and none of the duct work had been replaced. Waiting to see if they correct the problem.
