It took about 4 hours maybe.

They were bought out by American Plumbing and now when I am handicapped. We have a toilet upstairs that I cannot get to, and our toilet downstairs cannot be used. When we called American Plumbing to have them come out they said they could not come out for another 6 days. The contract implies that we would always go to the top of the list, not the first openings. Why would we pay a large amount of money for a contract with no advantage? They seem to have no concept, no caring, or what difficulty that makes for a handicapped person. I will never use them again unless they can honor the contract we had. We have spent thousands with this company. We never had problems with Mr. Rooter.

It fixed the leak for about a week. When we called the provider about the faulty installation, they came out and said the problem was actually another source and we would have to pay for more labor and another part in addition to the cost of replacing the first part. When I spoke with the office manager he gave references to situations where his company had done this before, citing that they don't check for the root of the problem, just an initial fix. I informed him of what this looked like from a consumer standpoint, and he offered to replace the faulty part for free provided we paid for parts and labor this second time around. We called other companies for estimates and were informed that we were quoted an unnecessary service by American Plumbing, and upon inspection pointed out that the faulty installation by American Plumbing also included breaking our original equipment, ensuring failure. Service techs from 3 different companies noted the same observations. Also, repair work cost almost 50% less with every other estimate (and the other companies have reviews stating they stand by their work).

We've used them for a number of years and we are pretty much satisfied with their services. They are professional. They are quick to come out and take care of the work. They always clean up after themselves. My biggest complaint is that they are probably charging a pretty premium price for their services. I've heard advertisements for things that they've done, other plumbers do it for less.
