Allied Republic Service

When I signed up, they told me it would be $45 every 3 months for service, and did not tell me about any other fees. When I got my bill I was charged a$15 fee for delivery of the garbage can, and they charged me for the entire month of service (I signed up towards the end of the month.) I called and they did prorate the month for me when I told them I would have waited to start had I known. The service was picked up regularly with out any trouble. Until... I missed the bill coming in. Since it only comes every 3 months I didn't realize I hadn't seen it. I do most of my bills online and this is a paper bill, and I missed it somehow. I ended up getting charged a $35 service interruption fee because it was late!! I'll admit, I was late paying, but I have excellent credit and this is not a regular occurrence with any bills. I would have expected a late fee of some kind, but $35 seems excessive for a $45 bill. I called and cancelled my service. There is another $15 fee for picking up the trash can. Oh, and they don't prorate any of the service if you cancel. They didn't try to keep my business at all. I would rather use another company and pay a little more monthly than have crazy and hidden fees.. My previous service (which I have returned to) Prorated, didn't charge for the container, and were always super friendly.
