$1,500 for 1.0-1.5hr labor! I have an "S" stamped on my forehead for stupid. I trusted & paid without seeing details. Their tech told me he gave me a break because he wouldn't have to remove fridge doors and I had clamp work lights illuminating the area, cleared work space and even had a small step ladder in place for him. You can see in the pictures the mechanical part is easy to get to. I assumed when he quoted the price it was soo hi because its SubZero and parts presumably are expensive. My stupidity culminated in paying without seeing details. I asked for a receipt and was told the office will send. I didn't receive and it took four calls by me to finally get a receipt with my suspicions increasing then confirmed when they belatedly sent me the receipt. I was shocked to see they charged $1500 for labor when I knew it only took 1.0-1.5hr and was faster because of my help and then discovered one more slap when I learned even with an outrageous labor bill they only stood behind their work for 30 measly days. I called to try to see if error or they'd be more reasonable--nope- Mr Drew Deal, the owner, said very reasonable because their tech had a lot of training (which is true because I experienced his efficiency and expertise) but even an expert shouldn't charge $1500 for one measly hour. And if he was such an expert, why stand behind it only 30 days (they then changed it to 90 days)! I bet he'd scream in outrage if the owner was charged $1500 for dental tooth cleaning or eye exam or his tax accountant. I also bet when its time to pay his tech he doesn't say--your an expert and entitled to $1500 (nor even a fraction of it) for each hour you work. Unfortunately I'm not the only one who was charged $1500 for labor; you can see other Google reviews with exactly the same dollar figure and complaint. Don't get an "S" stamped on your forehead because you're trusting.

Took my microwave in for repair. After checking it over to determine cause of problem they called us, explained location of problem and repair cost. We approved repair. A few days later they called and said it was ready to be picked up. Great people. Customer service oriented. I highly recommend them.

Terribly, did not diagnose problem correctly & would only take a check so no recourse

Scheduling nightmare - these people do not take into account the fact that people have to work and we are not all stay at home moms! You ask for an appointment first thing and are told that the techs get to make their own call schedule and they cannot guarantee any specific time. The customer cannot be expected to take the whole day off work because they cannot give an idea of the time frame of the call or work with the customer! Their idea of first thing also seems to be ~9.30-10 am - the mind boggles.

We were referred to Advance by Floyd Naughton at Mid-State, another excellent service. The gas-line was not installed with plastic conduit, but with cast iron tubing that he could not remove. He recommended Advance Appliance. Thomas was more familiar with the Kitchenaid brand and was able to remove the front of the cook-top and repair the burner that way. He also discovered a severely corroded ignitor in another burner and repaired that, as well.

The owner Doug answered my call at 7:30 monday morning and I share my Bosche dishwasher problem. He said that it could be several thing and would need to run some tests to narrow it down. He was booked up that day but was able come by the next morning. Tuesday morning Doug called when he was on his way and showed up promptly at the time he had promised. Doug was professional and endulged a 100 questions that I threw at him regarding appliances, dish washing detergent, laundry detergent, etc... I told him I thought it wasn't getting hot enough and that my novice diagnostic was a bad NTC (thermostat controler). After running electrical test he found that the NTC was working fine but part of the way through the cycle the heater was kicking on and off. He showed me that the tub didn't have enough water and that was causing the temp issue. Ultimately we have very hard water and the lime/calcium gums up every hot water pipe in my house. This partially blocked valve wasn't allowing the dishwasher to fill to the needed level, and Doug was able to demonstrate the effect by adding more water manually. Doug showed me how to 'get by' until the part came in and charged a reasonable price for the initial visit and quoted me an all in cost for the part and labor (tax included). Thursday morning Doug called letting me know he had the part and offered to come back out to install. Again he called on his way and showed up at the time promised. When removing the old valve Doug found that the company that installed the dishwasher had over tightened the feed line and recommended that I keep an eye on the line for a few cycles of the dishwasher to make sure there was no damage done to the line that wasn't visible to the naked eye. Ultimately Doug was clean, professional, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. He was also patient with my endless question and didn't seemed put off answering them (I would drive me nuts). I would definitely recommend Advanced Appliance Service and I'm sure I'll use them again.

Excellent and professional work. John from Advance Appliance was a pleasure to work with. After our initial telephone contact, he researched the problem I was having with my oven, determined that I needed a new part, ordered the part, and set a time just one day after the part arrived to come and replace it. I appreciated that he realized the part was needed and that he didn't charge me for two trips and two labor charges to remove the oven from the wall. He made sure all other parts were working well in the oven and worked diligently to ensure the error did not occur again after replacing the part. I would definitely recommend Advance Appliance to friends.

Dishwasher was not draining properly. Called early on Wednesday for appointment and technician was available and here the next morning as promised. Explained the issue and circumstances to him and he quickly identified and resolved the matter. While he had it apart he also checked out the whole unit for any possible leaks and found none. He was very helpful in explaining all the nuances concerning the various settings available to us on this particular unit, many of which we did not know about. As indicated in all the "A" ratings given Advance Appliance Service Inc., we would use them again for our appliance repair needs and highly recommend them to friends and neighbors. They are the local authorized service agent for Bosch and other high-end appliance companies, but when asked said they handle all brands of major appliances. Thank you John, it was nice to meet you and discover your company.

I called on a Monday and was given the 1st available appointment on Thursday. The repairman (Royce) called in that morning to give me the scheduled time. He arrived exactly when he said he would. A part needed to be ordered. Royce again called to schedule the repair and again arrived on time. He was extremely professional.

The provider promptly refunded my charges after I posted my review on Angie's List. Therefore I have updated my rating from a D to a C. Original complaint: After repeated attempts, they still had not ordered the part to repair the dryer until mid-February. They are telling me the part that should have been ordered in December is on back-order until March and they just placed the order. I tried to be fair but after being told that the part had been ordered in December, this has developed into a situation that is unacceptable and I am now requesting a refund and will be working with another vendor. This should have been resolved months ago and despite my having tried to rectify the situation in February, I have simply lost my patience.

He was very quick and he didn't try to overcharge me. He really only charged me for the service call.

Unfortunately, later, after he left, the microwave went off again. I dropped him an e-mail, and he contacted me right away. He came back at my convenience, and was on the line with Whirlpool, as it seemed that it was pretty complicated problem on which a previous Whirlpool rep had given him bad information. Gary fixed it with no additional charge for the visit or parts, and the microwave has been working well since April 2012.

The price was reasonable he gave me. He was honest and professional. He was also timely.

They great advise on the dishwasher. They were great and their honest. Did not push them into purchasing a new dishwasher or pay their fees to be fixed. I was extremely happy.

The appointment was made, tech was on time - however he spouted off about some social issues he had (about "the gays"), which I thought was amazing - he assumed I shared his views!? He did the work, and even fixed the side cabinet so that the door of the new unit would close flush against the side. I probably should've tipped him for that, but based on his unsolicited comments, I didn't.

We appreciated the advise and ended up not repairing the Microwave and instead purchased a highly-rated quality over-the-range microwave.

We use them regularly for appliance repair. If they need a part they don’t charge us for the time that it takes them to get it. They are nice, really honest, and professional. They always do a great job.

They were very professional and it is the reason that we use them all the time. If we ever have a problem with any of our appliances they will definitely be first company we call. They are responsive and very punctual. They have always been very professional when working in our house.

I would not hire Advance again as they were very unprofessional. They were late and the service technician was very rude to me.
