Description of Work: They added 2 plugs in the kitchen and changed out all plugs, switches, and plates in kitchen and dining room. I really appreciated that they told me exactly what switches, etc. I needed so that I could buy them myself and avoid paying mark up one ones they would provide. That saved me money.

Description of Work: I found an ungrounded plug that was not even in a box in my house. Over the 17 years since we renovated the house and had a complete rewiring done, I have had several electricians come and review/redo the work. Finding this plug made me particularly angry and I sought a new electrician through Angie's List. A F Electric sent an electrician who fixed this problem and check the house (again). He worked patiently for a whole day in and out of tight spaces fixing problems. I recently crawled under the house and am comfortable that he did a good job in the areas that I previously could not easily see.

+ 0 moreTerry was very friendly and got everything done in an hour...the price was a little high I thought, but it was done and done right as far as I could tell. All in all a good experience.
Description of Work: Terry came by on Friday and checked kitchen plugs to see if they were grounded and they weren't so he returned Monday morning and replaced 3 to make them safe for kitchen use and helped me with an old ceiling fan that had bad light bulbs that would break off in the socket..he removed said bulbs as they broke and helped me replace them.

+ -1 moreThey were great. Sam (the electrician they sent) was prompt, friendly and efficient. It seemed important to him to get the job done right, but quickly, to save me money. The only thing that wasn't great is that they didn't give me an estimate over the phone or when he got there - he just kind of jumped in and did the work. But, the work was great and the cost was good so it was okay.
Description of Work: They fixed outlets in my daughter's room that weren't working and fixed non-working lights in our ceiling fan. They also did a few other little quick fixits.

+ -1 moreI called around 8pm at night when I lost all power to my home office. They were there at 10am the next morning to figure out the problem. Within 30 minutes the guy had isolated the problem and fixed it. The only complaint I would have is that I asked for an estimate to add a circuit to my office and the guy said he'd have someone come out and no one ever came out to give me the estimate. Other than that everything went well.
Description of Work: Repaired a loose wire in a light switch.

He was about 45 minutes late because he had to find the parts for the job but once he arrived everything went smoothly and he was done in about two hours. Both the electrical outlet and the cable jack work great.
Description of Work: Changing a two-prong plug to three-prong and installing a cable jack.

+ -1 moreTwo workers came by and were here almost 4 hours. They seemed exceptionally slow in diagnosing the problem which translated into my larger bill. THEY ALSO DID NOT LEAVE A BILL ON SITE AND DID NOT GIVE US A PRICE ESTIMATE!!! CAVIAT EMPTOR
Description of Work: ON 2/2/7 CIRCUITS WERE OUT; PERFORMED TROUBLE SHOOTING. REPLACED 2 15 AMP PLUGS. THE PANEL HAD WIRES DOUBLED UP ON A BREAKER. PUT A TWIN BREAKER IN PANEL IN THE HOUSE AND A 20 AMP SINGLE POLE OUTSIDE. THE PLUGS WERE ON A 30 AMP DOUBLE BREAKER (THIS WAS THE WRONG SIZE)

+ -1 moreA friend recommended Aand F. They arrived on time and spent a great deal of time searching through our complicated wiring to find the problem.
Description of Work: We had just moved into our home and several outlets were out. Terry from A&F came and spent three hours trying to track down where the wires connected to. He warned us that he might need to break into a wall to find the problem but because he worked so hard finding the connection he didn't have to. Once the problem was found (wires in a junction box were not connected) he repaired the problem and it has been working great ever since.
