6th Man Movers

6th Man Movers was a customer service dream come true. I have had nothing but terrible experiences with movers in the past, so my expectations were low, but these guys were amazing. FIRST. They offered the best quote for service. 2 guys, 4.5 hours for $550 plus a $100 travel fee because we were moving out of country. This was almost $300 lower than the next lowest bid. SECOND. They showed up EARLY!!! The scheduled arrival time was 12-2 pm. We would have rather it been earlier, but we understand scheduling problems. We started moving some of our stuff ourselves, but then at 11 they called and asked if they could come early. We graciously said yes. THIRD: They were fit to do the job. The last time I hired movers, one was overweight and a smoker, and had real problems doing the job. The guy would just carry stuff until he couldn't anymore and then drop them on the floor. These guys were the opposite. Young and strong enough to carry our stuff. FOURTH: We got a third guy free of charge. Apparently they were training a third dude, so he helped out and we didn't get charged for an extra hand. AWESOME FIFTH: They were careful with our stuff and considerate about where we wanted it to go. They didn't bump a single wall or throw around a single piece of furniture. They handled every piece with care. When it was time to unload, they asked us specifically where we wanted everything to go, and even moved stuff around if it was in the wrong room. SIXTH: They stuck to their quote. These guys put in probably an hour to an hour and a half longer than was quoted and we didn't get charged extra. This was an amazing moving experience and I'll definitely be using 6th man again.

These guys were awesome. From the get go it was a pleasant experience. Scheduling was easy and the move was a breeze. It took them about 7 hours to move all of our stuff, but that's only because they took such good care of everything. They made sure everything was wrapped, secure, padded—the works. Not only that, but they were so, so polite. They were extremely respectful of all of our belongings, as well as our home. They made sure to put down tarp so they didn't dirty the floors as they were going in and out. And I don't think I saw them take a break even once. Incredibly hard workers. Definitely went way above and beyond our expectations. They're not the cheapest, and they might not seem like the fastest, but without a doubt they are the best!

Charged for 2 guys but three were on the job everyone was professional and polite. No wasted time or standing around and very accommodating. We will use again.

One word? Exceptional. 6th Man bid was lower than two brand-name nationwide moving agencies. In total, three other "nationwide" firms contacted for a bid; only two responded. One "nationwide" bid actually expired before move date due to estimator error/oversight in paperwork. 6th Man gladly re-bid after large amount of donations to goodwill and garage-sale resulted in smaller load than expected. Incredible care during packing and loading so that house -and- household goods were safe and handled without issue. Team showed up exactly when scheduled for pack and load day -- and finished earlier than forecast. Delivery was also exactly when scheduled, though contracted local help in Denver was a little late. Despite late arriving help in Denver, 6th Man still managed to complete unload on-time and without issue. Contact throughout, both calls and email updates, was appropriate, professional and definitely appreciated! This level of commitment and responsibility definitely result of a team that seriously cares about their work and their reputation. Strongly recommended and would use again.

The 5 man and two trucks that they needed was estimated exactly right. It took about 9 hours or so. They did an awesome job, very nice and polite crew. They went the extra mile to accomodate us. I'd definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

These guys did an amazing job. I have used two men and a truck and 6th man. While I enjoyed 2 men and a truck, these guys at 6th man, even though there was far more stuff than expected, still moved everything, took the time and would periodically sak me if anything was needed. They taped all the boxes.,. moved everything, made my bed and really were nivce about everything. Additionally, it was snowing throughout the entire move, and to make sure that none of my carpetting got wet, they shook off the snow from their shows and wiped them before coming in depsite having heavy items!. I would definitely recommend them

Based on past experience, when it came time to move furniture from our parents' house in Lebanon to 4 locations in Nashville, we didn't bother calling anyone but 6th Man Movers. From the initial contact to the estimate to the last stop, everything was very clear and professional. Omar, Ronnie and Braden arrived right on time, introduced themselves and got to work. They carefully wrapped the furniture and loaded it on the truck in reverse delivery order. The whole process couldn't have gone any smoother and they were so efficient, it even cost less than our estimate! We'll certainly call them for any future moving needs and would highly recommend them.

On time and courteous, we needed them for the minimum of two hours. They carefully loaded the container with furniture and some rather fragile goods. After PODS picked up and redelivered they unloaded and repositioned furniture both up and downstairs without a scratch. They finished earlier than the two hours and volunteered to relocate furniture throughout the house. We would use this company again in a heartbeat!!

I am a licensed real estate agent who was selling his personal home. Charlie and Terrance were fantastic! We had a terrible time with the PODS distributor, when he crashed the POD into my carport 24 hours before closing. PODS ended up delaying our move three hours to unload the pod and remove their hydraulic system. Charlie and Terrence stuck around even though they didn't need to. In two hours, Charlie and Terrance loaded up nearly my entire house (3br/3ba) into the POD. My move has been anything but enjoyable, however, 6th man movers has been a rare bright spot. I would highly recommend using their company for your move!

Very responsive for quoting. Eric came out & walked through the house to give me an accurate estimate. He said 3 men & 1 truck. They called when they were on the way & were right on time. Very nice. Very professional. We ended up having to make 2 trips & they still came in right at the quoted price! I hope to never move again, but if I do I will definitely use them!

The movers showed up on time at 8AM the day after Christmas! I was very impressed. They were not totally prepared for our job even though I had discussed the particulars at length with the person booking the service. That said, they did what needed to be done and did so while showing respect for our things and for the place we were moving into...even taking care to place felt pads on furniture in order to avoid scratching the new hardwood floors. While several of the guys clearly had not planned on the job taking as long as it did (do to internal miscommunication), they stuck it out and got the job done....even disassembled and reassembled our bunk beds! Every box went exactly where I directed with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 boxes and we had A LOT of boxes! The move took about 5 hours longer than anticipated and than what was quoted due to the guys not being ready for what we had to move. Therefore the bill was about $500 over what we expected to pay. I called 6th Man Movers after the move to discuss the discrepancy in pricing and that I didn't think I should have to pay for all of their extra time that could have been avoided by them knowing ahead of time what needed to be moved. ( With a lot of companies, this would have been a real headache to negotiate.) 6th Man Movers stepped up to the issue immediately! The man who initially took the order and sent me a quote was very responsive, diplomatic and friendly while allowing us to reach a very reasonable compromise on the final bill. At the end of the day, they made everything that was less than perfect "right" and did so with ease and professionalism. I would absolutely use 6th Man Movers again and I will refer their services to my friends and clients.

This company is the BEST! Kyle H. and John M. called a head to tell me they were on their way. They were on time and in 1 hour did an amazing job of assisting me in getting my 2nd story Apartment all set up with furniture. I will always recommend this company to my clients. The three man crew from 6th Man Movers was fabulous! Charlie, Jesus, & Lucky were punctual, friendly, professional, and accomodating when I had to alter the initial plans to move most of the furnishings to my condo, leaving only a few items to move into a smaller storage unit I rent at the same storage facility. Regrettably, I discovered only the day before meeting 6th Man Movers that water had leaked into the small storage unit, so I needed to first vacate the large storage locker, then move items from the small unit into the large unit. It was a major nuisance, but the 6th Man Movers were very accomodating and completed this task quickly and efficiently.

It was great--they were efficient and very fast, and all my things remained in great condition. They were easy to deal with and the did the job very well.

Can't say enough good things about 6th man movers. Sam, Charlie and Moses were our crew. They were excellent. They took the time to properly wrap all valuables and tear down furniture. The three worked well as a team and each one could have had their own crew. They were genuinely concerned that we were happy with their job. Multiple times they took stuff out of our hands to carry for us. 6th man made our move easy and we highly recommend them.

Our moving crew was scheduled to arrive between 8-10am on the moving day. They called around 815am and arrived around 9am. Of note, it was heavily raining all morning and for the entirety of the move. We were moving all the furniture in a 2 bed/2 bath 1400 sq ft. house. The crew leader had me walk him through the house and show him everything that was to be moved. The entire crew was professional and helpful throughout the move. They wrapped everything in moving blankets and plastic wrap and had everything loaded in about an hour. The unload was equally smooth and all of my furniture was kept in great condition. There was an issue with moving an executive desk upstairs and the crew was unable to move it because of the location of the stairs and size of the desk (totally my fault for assuming it would fit no problem). They tried to move the desk and discussed that damage may occur before they tried. We decided not to have them move it after all. Overall, I was extremely happy with my crew and their services. They were on time, efficient, professional, and involved me throughout the process. You will not be disappointed if you use 6th man movers!

Great experience all around. The 6th Man team was professional, timely, and communicated a lot with me. They wrapped all of our nice furniture and were very cautious with our furniture, walls, and floors. They saved us a few bucks by using our tape and our plastic wrap when needed. Though not a huge expense, it's nice to know they didn't try to take advantage and make us buy supplies we didn't need. Sam, Kareem, and Charles were our movers and they were just great!

I was able to schedule the move on short notice and everything was done promptly and carefully. Great service.

Alfred, Avante, and Kevin showed on time, provided quick, professional, and friendly service. Everything you could ask for from a moving team. They did a great job.

I couldn't be more pleased. The men were polite, personable, respectful, and knew exactly what they were doing. I am a single woman who lives alone, and I'm not exactly handy. The guys took apart the furniture as needed, and were very careful with all of my belongings (and I have a LOT of glass- desk, coffee table, TV console, and 7 foot leaning mirror). All pieces of glass were wrapped in blankets individually- I was very happy about that. They unhooked my washer and dryer at the condo, then set everything back up at the new place. That was a big help. I would not hesitate to use them again, and will be recommending to a girlfriend who is planning on moving in the next year.

They were right on time and very efficient. They even moved my elliptical to my moms house afterwards.

They were awesome. Very professional company. Easy to schedule the estimate and then schedule the move. The pre-packing was a big help. Our crew the day of the move was awesome. I couldn't believe how efficiently they got everything moved including some tough stuff (2 guys lifting a piano sideways off front steps using straps!). Everything was moved quickly without any damage to our stuff or the houses. Will definitely call them in the future!

Excellent company, very responsive to calls and emails. They sent an estimator to the home when I couldn't get the online estimate right and he made a very accurate recommendation for how I should schedule the move. 6th Man send 5 people and two trucks to the house just after 8:30 in the morning and they worked non-stop until late in the afternoon, barely taking a break to eat pizza. They took very good care of our furniture and antiques, and there were only a few minor scratches on the walls, which was amazing, considering the bulky pieces they had to maneuver through tight doorways. Despite large fragile items, narrow entryways, and lots and lots of stairs, they managed to move almost everything that I had planned for the two day move on the first day. As a result, I was able to use 6th Man to move all the smaller items on the second day that I had anticipated I would have to move myself. This saved me 4 of 5 days of work. All this and the total cost with Angie's list coupon was just over $2500. I will definitely hire 6th man again when we move to Bowling Green.
