Our house was built in 1930 and the doors are 3 inches thick. Another locksmith was unable to handle this job because everything was custom. Bill came within an hour of the call and did all the work for a fabulous price in about two hours. He is extremely competent, reasonably priced and very prompt. He even cleaned up after himself. I highly recommend him and will use him again.

Called ahead, arrived in a timely manner. Got strait to work, and completed the job at hand. Did a pretty good job cleaning up after himself after drilling into the doors to add dead bolt locks. One of the new handles did not line up with the strike plate well, and after calling he returned and corrected the issue right away. Very polite.

Overall, excellent company. Would recommend to others.

I called Bill after reading such glowing comments about him on Angie's list. I was not disappointed! I had just bought a home and needed to change the locks quickly. Bill was great. He changed all my locks and rekeyed them to one key and gave me an Angie's list discount. He found the program number for the keypad lock and showed me how to rekey it to a new number. I had to call him the next day to come out again after buying a new lock for a door I didn't have the original key for. He had already given me advice on what type of deadbolt/keypad type lock would be best and I was able to find one that matched the other doors exactly. He came up with the idea to use the old door knob and dead bolt on my shed. However, he showed me that it didn't fit properly after installing and really should be placed higher on the door and a new hole drilled. He didn't charge me for it since he didn't like the way it fit. He also took a look at the door latch on an inside door that wasn't closing properly and fixed that for me as well. I asked for Bill's cards so I could pass them on to all my new neighors. I highly recommend him.

Bill Crousser is the name of the person. It was great. I called him and he came few hours later. He was available and did everything I needed.

He ended up not being able to do the job because of the type of door my mother-in-law has on her house so he didn't charge us anything for coming out. He was very helpful walking through our problem and ultimately deciding that there was nothing to be done. He was very prompt and came right away. We would definitely use him again.

I called Bill to rekey my locks at home. The day I called, we scheduled an appt. the same day. He arrived on time (well, just a bit before he was scheduled). He rekeyed my locks(4) within a short timeframe. Plus he gave some ideas regarding home security and advised me about the safety of my doors. Additonally, he provided information about various security measures I could take outside, without spending a "bundle". Bill is honest and very helpful. When I asked about emergency services, he will provide and was honest about providing realistic timeframes. No surprises with this gentleman. I'll use him again. Felt very comfortable with him in my home.

The worker showed up and knocked on my door. He introduced himself and I showed him in and pointed out the doors with the locks that I needed changed. He immediately retrieved his tools from his vehicle and proceeded to work. He worked for 20 minutes and re-keyed 4 locks. He submitted his invoice and I paid him. The was very nice and professional. I would definitely hire him again and have referred him to my friends.

We got a new back door and wanted the locks rekeyed to match our front door. I called the locksmith yesterday and he said that he could come over today and we agreed that he would give me a call before he came over. I received a call this morning and he was on his way over. He arrived 20 min later and had the 2 locks rekeyed within an hour. He even made us two extra keys for the lock. The service call was $40 and he charged $15/lock to rekey them.

My purse "disappeared" over the weekend, and I realized it contained my house key and information that identified my home address. I called to get the locked changes in a hurry this morning, and Bill was there within 30 minutes. Service was quick and professional, and very fairly priced. I would definitely call again and highly recommend.

I chose 1st Choice due to the good reviews here and was not disappointed. I called and left a message and Bill called back within the hour. We set an appointment for him to re-key our new house and he was already there when I arrived. I hadn't correctly remembered how many locks we had when setting the appointment but he didn't mind. He re-keyed the entire house (nine total locks) in about an hour and a half. Bill did a very thorough job and even showed me how to remove a lock from a gate that needs to be replaced. He told me where I could get a new lock and that he would be happy to install it if I had any trouble (though he had already shown me how to do it myself).

I called and left a message and my call was returned a short time later. The serviceman came out the next day. He made several keys for the front door and removed and repaired the bad lock. He also rekeyed some locks so that I only need a couple of keys. The service was fast (less than an hour) and the technician was friendly and professional.

Wonderful. Bill showed up punctually and had everything rekeyed swiftly. He was really great with our two young boys, who were curious about what he was doing and about locks generally -- he even took the time to explain things to them. And the new keys he cut for the locks were perfect. The prices were as quoted (and even included an Angie's List discount). I highly recommend him.

Arrived 5 minutes before quoted arrival time. Very professional. Got right to work and within 10 minutes had the door lock working and made two extra keys for us. Offered to move the strike plate if we wished, but showed us how to close the door securely and we were very happy with that. If he had moved the plate, the door would not have closed as tightly, he explained. Highly recommend and will use again, if needed.

The locksmith was fast, helpful, professional, friendly, informative, and offered a great savings compared to getting the work done at a repair shop - he was great! He got there 20 minutes after I called, loaned me his phone to call AAA in order to save $20 on his fee, showed me what was broken and how he fixed it, and got my van working again really quickly. I'd be happy to use him again or recommend him to friends and family.

I give this co. an A+ because I called them on a Sunday morning when I'd locked my keys in my trunk-he said he'd come right then and would only charge me $45! He arrived in 15 minutes and opened the car door without damaging it, made a copy of my key (a key needs to come from the Honda factory, but he made one that can just open my door, which is all I'd usually need) for no additional cost. He handles AAA calls as well, and does "Lockouts, Re-keying, installations, repairs, and keys made, and is certified*Licensed*Bonded*Insured.
