I have bought numerous Stihl products over the years from these guys, but their counter personnel have to be some of the worst known to mankind. Just to get checked out, you can wait up to twenty minutes, If there's a line, does anyone jump in to help? Absolutely not. They can be backed up and the service dept, even though they're able, they still won't check you out. They ask you to go up front. There's one guy who I think his job is just to occupy a space and waste good air and it's been that way for years. I would never buy anything more than a blower from these guys. John Deere and others should be ashamed these guys rep their products. If that was the only place to buy John Deere, I would use a push mower instead. Absolutely pathetic.
Oh and if you're a woman, be prepared to be an afterthought until after the important folks have been taken care of. I may be the first to actually write a review but even when I was with the fire department, we cringed if we had to buy something from them.
I think they actually get merit pay for who can be the worst counter rep.
.I will never take any equipment there again for service, nor would I ever do any business with these people again. If you can't be trusted to make a phone call when you say you will, then you can't be trusted with much in my opinion. I would have been OK with what I thought was a high price to replace the belt if the service had been worth the cost. The customer service this place provides is worthless and does not add anything (actually detracts from) to the service they provide.
UPDATE: OK, I finally went to pickup the mower. I will say they did pretty good work. The mower ran and cut well. The price ended up less than I was expecting, not because they gave me any kind of discount or break for the poor customer service, but rather because the guy failed to add in the price of the routine service to the price he provided me in the quote. So even the good part of my experience was due to the guy running the service department screwing up in yet another way.
So, the moral to this story is, if you don't mind waiting and having to do all the reaching out and checking back, then this may be a place for you. If you expect people to call you like they say they will and follow through with the work the first time you OK it, then maybe you should thing about taking your equipment somewhere else for maintenance.
