I paid the owner Jason Bowers up front for a special welding project back in Sept 2015! I have yet to get it!! He has excuse after excuse after excuse. My lawyer has advised me to file suit! I really have been patient and tried to be understanding, but it's been almost a year now. He doesn't respond to phone calls or text messages!

I believe that this owner, Jason Bowers, owns many businesses that he uses to scam people. He postponed his work continuously on our project and then delayed again and again the return of our 'deposit.' We are suing him in court and are filing with numerous state and local agencies to help protect others. if you search his name on this site, Angie's List, he will come up as the contact for another business and you can read about how that couple was scammed as well. He posted an ad on craigslist for construction of dog kennels and other things. He came out to our house and I believe he was lying to our faces and never intended to do any work. He tried to claim that he had to receive refunds on rental equipment and that he had $1500 worth of sand in his garage just waiting for our project. This made no sense as no one would pay rental deposits for a job for which they had no set date yet, and no one would have sand delivered to one site for use at another that is over 30 minutes away. It was just one lie after another. He is in bankruptcy and our attorney is checking into the possibility of fraud charges, as he took our money with no intention of doing the work, spent the so-called 'deposit' on nothing to do with our project, and knew all along that he did not have the equipment or the supplies to begin let alone finish the work on this job. When seen in court, our attorney advised us that this individual would most likely continue to use lies and manipulation to get out of having to return our money and that we should re-file our case under a different statute to include fraud charges. We saved every one of his texts, many of which contain outright lies, and promises that were not kept concerning showing up to do the job, etc. Our attorney also advised us to contact several state and local agencies so as to prevent this person from continuing his pattern of ripping off others and avoiding financial responsibility. His spouse's check is currently being garnisheed for the bad debts he has to others and we're hoping that this review and postings on other sites will save others from such mistreatment in the future. Below is a copy of the body of the first letter sent by our attorney, to which he responded, agreeing to meet with our attorney and return our monies. He did not show up. So, back to court we go: Tony and Susan Pugh have contacted me regarding their dispute with you over payment for services not rendered. It is my understanding that Mr. and Mrs. Pugh made a verbal contract with you and gave you a personal check for $900 on January 21, 2015 to install a custom canine septic system, or "Pet Potty," on their property in Mt. Juliet. The very next morning, you presented their Regions check to Regions Bank for cash, indicated by your thumbprint on the face of the check. You received $900 in cash on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Pugh on January 22, 2015. Since that time, you have claimed several times that you intended to fulfill your end of the bargain, yet weather, your children's sporting events, or other excuses belied your intentions. The Pughs have been very patient, Mr. Bowers. It is not Mr. and Mrs. Pugh's responsibility to "front" monies to you to run your businesses. They have met their end of the bargain. Regardless of your intentions and/or excuses, you have not. Because of your failure to perform, you owe the Pughs, at a minimum, $900. Please, let us settle this amicably without the necessity of formalities. I would ask that you return Mr. and Mrs. Pugh's money, in cash, no later than Monday, May 11, 2015 at 5 pm CST. I would be happy to meet you to accomplish this. I would also ask that you do not contact Mr. or Mrs. Pugh in future
