The Tedder Company

The Tedder Company installed a new Heating System today. We have used Tedder for the past 18 years and have always appreciated their professionalism as well as their caring spirit. It’s painful financially to have to install a new HVAC system, but this house is 15 years old so it was time. We TRUST The Tedder Company and appreciate the employees working for this fine company.

Always a pleasure to do business with Tedder’s. Their staff is great and work is done smoothly, quickly and with a professional and friendly way. They always make me feel that they truly care about your you and your needs. I appreciate them greatly!

Randall was my technician for this checkup, as well as the Summer checkup. He is fabulous and I feel that he does a thorough job and does not try to oversell or show me "The video" like other companies have done in the past.

The Tedder Company did a great job replacing our HVAC unit. We received three quotes for the job; and their price was not the lowest to start with; however, they were willing to work on that with us. Everyone with the company was very polite and professional. they were always on time and followed up on everything they promised. Also, their approach was not to see how much they could get us to spend today. They gave us options to get the work done and let us decide based on how much we wanted to spend. Fabulous job! We would recommend them to everyone!

We are in some kind of deal with them, and they come and check our things every 6 months. It's a contract. They saved us money and helped us out a bunch. One particular guy comes out, and the unit is 8 years old. If they weren't honest and ethical they could have probably said oh you need a new unit. He was able to clean it and look at it thoroughly. He was able to do a little patch work, but that patch work has worked for a little over 3 years. Their honesty and helpfulness is what I like the most.

I haven't had any problems with my unit. This is why I like this company: I'm just a nurse. I'm not an electric person. I don't like gadgets and stuff like that. I have one of those thermostats that's programmable and digital and all high-tech. I must've called these guys probably five times a year just to tell them, "Can you help me program this?" They didn't treat me like I was a retard. They could've been like, "What is your problem?" I was expecting it too, you know? But they weren't. They were very nice. They took the time to sit and actually teach me over and over again just whenever I call. So, yeah I'd use them definitely. They're nice. A lot of people won't, after it's been five or six years, they don't want to deal with you anymore. So, that's why I like this company. I don't know if they're a small company. I don't really know much about them. At the time when I was fairly new to the area, I just went with them based on their price and what they were able to offer. I didn't think I had made a mistake. I really didn't.

I haven't had to have any repairs on my stuff, just the tune-ups. That's why you get those tune-ups and stuff.

Their customer service keeps me coming back. My first impression of them was great. They're good. They're professional. Their customer service is good.

I think they're great. All of them have been very knowledgeable. I've never had a problem. They just have a good competitive price and product. And the people are nice. Sometimes that niceness will take you farther with a price. If they were to come back and say, "We're a thousand dollars more than our competitor," I already know that they work with me helping me program my stuff. And they always were patient. That kind of stuff right there will make you come back, even if it's $1000 more than the competitor. To me, that's worth its weight in gold right there.

I wouldn't go anywhere else They really would have to have a lot more than what these guys have. They're very polite.

They keep track of everything. I never have to call them or tell them. They're right on schedule. I can't really think of anything they could work on in the future.

It takes them probably 30-45 minutes. I can't even tell they've been there sometimes. I just think they're nice people. Their customer service is good.

They just stay on top of it. I didn't have to really call them. I didn't have to remind them or anything like that. They just come out. They put you on the schedule, and they're there and they take care of your stuff.

They do it for free because it was part of my unit when I bought it with them. I think for the money that they charge, they offer the most. No other air conditioning companies will offer you free tune-ups and checkups every summer and every fall, and it was for ten years. That's crazy. I got a three-ton Trane in 2007 or 2008. It was a brand new unit, and they only charged me like $10,000-$11,000, which is very very competitive with anyone else.

They work with you. They're very nice. They don't nickle and dime you to death. I went to go in February of this year, whenever the NASA convention center had their big convention a couple months ago, and I have an upstairs air conditioner that I'm looking at maybe having to be replaced. It's not dying yet, but I always like to try to stay on top of it. Because when it does die, then it's bad. I don't want to wait a month in August for them to come get my air conditioning put in. So, I started looking around at some of the groups that they had at that convention there in Nashville, and they do not offer, at all, the maintenance on it. That does not come in the package. They do not do the tune ups every fall and winter. Those companies do not have that. So, for this company to have it, and for me to already have gotten that. I don't know if they have that still, but I know that they're still honoring mine. That's competitive, too, because that should all be built into the price. And if you pay them, it's like between $60 and $100 to have them come out, depending on the company. So that's extra stuff they're throwing in there. They come every fall for the winter and every spring or beginning of summer for the summer to just tune it up and make sure there's nothing wrong or that there's no leaks. And those tune ups are not free with other companies. It does not matter if you just bought your unit or not. It'll be under warranty, and they warranty the work and all that. But they don't warranty it for that long. Mine came with the whole package. How can you go wrong with that?

We were pleased with the Tedder Co. It was very cold when our heating/air-conditioning unit stopped working. W e called theTedder Co. and they were kind enough to work us into their schedule for an evaluation. As our unit could not be repaired, the Tedder Co representative discussed our options in detail and answered all of our questions. They returned the following day and replaced the unit. We were happy with their service and have been very pleased with the unit.

The technician, Randall Hazlewood, was able to diagnose the problem in a very short time and replace a faulty capacitor within 15 minutes for the upstairs unit. We'd also just recently had a problem with the downstairs HVAC system and Randall was able to quickly diagnose that we were in need of a new compressor unit. The wife and I have been considering replacing this HVAC unit altogether - it has some age - and Randall gave us a number of options/pricing in a very detailed manner - he was extremely professional and courteous. We highly recommend this company for any HVAC needs and services - 5 stars!

Their price was competitive. They were on time and they did a great job. They were communicative and did what they said they were going to do. They were always professional and courteous. These qualities, I believe, are extremely rare. I couldn't think of any reason why I wouldn't ever use them again.

It went well. The project was done over a 2 day period. The first team pulled out a mess of ducts that was probably around 50 years old. Although it took them longer than expected to clear out the duct junk, they did not complain, only commented on what a mess it was. I was a little nervous about having the hvac unit disconnected in order to replace the concrete support underneath, but it needed to be done. The unit itself was fairly new, still under warranty but the duct work had not been changed out at the time of installing the new unit. When they replaced the concrete pad, they also shortened the ?connector? between the hvac unit and the house which was an improvement for me because now I can see my crawl space door from my deck; before the ?connector? was so big that it blocked my view of the door which sometimes comes open. The cost of the project was comparable to other estimates, although no other company had mentioned caulking(?) around the space where the ducts meet the floor (I may have messed up that explanation but I liked the idea of any ?gaps? being sealed). Equally as important as quality work being done is quality treatment of customers. All of the Tedder Company staff who worked on my house were knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful. This is rare; it almost never fails that contractors or technicians working at my house manage to say or do something that makes me uncomfortable or worse. Over the course of 2 days and the extensiveness of the work, there were from 5-7 Tedder Company employees at my house; all of whom gave me the impression of good, hard-working, respectful professionals. Excellent work and a great group of people.

I have been using the Tedder Company for 4 years to maintain my heat and air system. It is a fairly old unit and they continue to maintain it in good working order. They have presented me with bids for a new unit but have not been pushy with trying to sell a new unit. They always call when it is time for my maintenance and always schedule a convenient time for me to be there. Wayne is great! He arrives on time and completes his work without any hassle. I would recommend this company to anyone. The are the best!

Always on time, friendly and very thorough. They installed our heating & A/C systems when our home was built 8 years ago and we have maintained a service contract for two tune-ups per year since then. Would highly recommend them!
