Description of Work: Promise the moon deliver nothing. Then when I would endorse insurance check because I wasn't satisfied they threatened a lien on my house and even sent me a certified notice in the mail stating such. My insurance check was good for 180 days. At that point they wanted me to sign it I only had the check for 3 days

 + -1 moreA Special Touch was prompt and punctual. They arrived when they said they would. However, I explained to the gentleman who came to do the assessment that I just wanted an assessment and they did not have permission to file an insurance claim. I explained I was having an insurance adjustor out and would file a claim later after the insurance assessment and then I would select a roofer. The gentleman clearly did not listen to me. He didn't want to do anything but barge ahead and file a claim. I had to repeat 3-4 times that he did not have my permission to do this. Ultimately, he viewed the roof and stated that he felt all the roof needed was a few repairs. He did not provide a written estimate, a card, or any follow up or contact information. I felt he didn't want to help if the work required was just a roof repair and because I wouldn't let him call the adjustor. Obviously, I chose another company to perform the work. In the end, the insurance adjustor (and 4 other companies) agreed that the roof needed replacement. So the assessment quality was poor also.
Description of Work: I had wind and hail damage on my roof. Based on a referral from my insurance company, I contact A Special Touch to request they do a roof assessment and give me a cost to repair or replace based on their assessment. At that time, I had not yet had the insurance inspector review the roof yet.
